  1. Hello, the correct tyre size should be 215x45x17 all round.Having said that the S model came with 16in and some of the limited editions/the aero model came with 18's.On the other hand some owners have fitted a different variations with some having slightly bigger/wider tyres on the rear.Hope this helps.
  2. hi,I think you may have bought the wrong disc(s)(although I stand to be told different),as i sure the 2001 sat navs used the CD Rom and not DVD, as I made a similar error when trying to update mine(as I bought the CD version instead of the DVD and had the message unable to read disc) for my 2003 car.Hope this helps.
  3. Hi Ian s200 has some so why not send him a pm
  4. Hi,have you tried 01253 400230 as this is there listed telephone number, although with their reviews now turned off(web site) there is no telling if they are till in business.
  5. Hi,have you got a quote from anywhere else(you could also try longlife exhausts for a quote as well),I would personally go for the standard or mid sport, anything more would be a pit too loud.
  6. Hi, Well as long as they are the same generation they should work ,having said that we live in a world where its all about making money irregardless unfortunately
  7. Hi, no the updated disc(s) do not accept postcode loading on the older generation sat navs, basically its only the maps that are updated and believe me there have been loads of road/map changes since 2001 so although they may look the same they are not the same.Hope this helps.
  8. Hi with regards to question 2 (although it is possible but will involve a lot of time, effort and money) the answer is generally no as its not plug and play. The best alternative is to buy a OEM housing and screen and have a sony sat nav fitted into it,someone had 1 for sale on here a while back, hope this helps.
  9. Hi,to be honest I dont know, have had same with mine for the last 3 years and so far its been okay with no problems apart from the faint lines
  10. Hi,how old is the battery?if its 5 years or over would have it changed especially with winter here and you having to use the heating, headlights, heated seats etc more often, all put added strain on your battery and if it is already on its last legs, using all the bits mentioned will only quicken its demise.
  11. Hi have you checked your highlight fuse as well???
  12. Hi,you could give it a try and see if it works,if not, have you got your key number in your service history book or a chrome tag attached to any of your keys(with a number on it)?as I can give you a guys email add/number who can cut you a key just from the key number(that is assuming the keyes/locks have not been changed),hope this helps.
  13. Hi,with regards the gear box filter just to be on the safe side i would seek a 2nd opinion as most auto boxes do have them.
  14. Hi,for peace of mind have your cambelt and the auxillary belts changed, its 6 years or 60000mls and as your car is almost 8 years old it is due a change even though its only done 37000 miles,if you dont and its goes you will only have yourself to blame and a big bill to contend with.
  15. Hi,personally I would get a garage to do it as you are also going to have to change the auto gear box filter as well(that is if you want it done properly)just as each time you change your engine oil you change the oil filter.
  16. Hi I stand to be corrected on this one,but if i am not wrong it has to do with the new m.o.t rules/regulations.
  17. Hi,same here I have always used momentum 99 in all my cars(including 2 is 200's sports) in the last 12 years and never had a problem, also my way of doing a bit for the environment hehe
  18. Hi with regards the sat nav, have you actually opened the disc player/module in the boot to see if you have actually got a disc in it?there is a possibility there isnt one or its the wrong one and thats why its asking you to open the door on the module and check disc, hope this helps?
  19. Hi the only contact between you car and the road is your tyres, and to be honest I am surprised how many people seems to opt for budget tyres(not my cup of tea not that i am rolling in money). However you dont have to buy top of the range ones as you can go for middle of the range and still get something decent for less than a £100 a tyre or thereabouts. You can try Falkens,Hanook, firestone etc
  20. Hi Waz911 I have sent u a pm that should help
  21. Hello, as the 2 previous members have said it is definitely not plug and play - that would just be too easy. You best bet would probably be to see if you can get hold of a Sony Sat Nav that has been built into a Lexus is 200 sat nav housing(some had 1 for sale a while back). There are some threads on this subject matter on here somewhere.
