  5. strangely I really had expected her to outlive her Mum tho' .............. 101 almost 102 I believe ............. and I had pondered about who on earth would have sent her a Telegram when she reached 100 ............ likewise Philip too ...... there we are A Grand Old Lady that has done the Country Proud for 96 years .......... 6. Wot ............. Fawlty after 23 years, c'mon it's a Ls400 ....... NEVER ..... well, not until geriatrics take hold after the age of 25 surely Then a good slap often wakes it up into action as you say Us owners are living in a time warp with our aged limos ........ all these strange experiences will never be known to the to younger car ..... owners .... coz they never get to this age Reading summat " Official " yesterday that the general scrappage age is now at about age 13 Mine's 100% uplift in Green Credentials then being now only aged 27 Malc
  7. oh ye of little faith ................ you must believe in what we're told .............. especially with the cigar smoking, whisky sipping, rotund'ish portly Deputy Prime Minister . No NO No . not Winston Churchill, the new lady Boffey is it ...... in charge of all things including the NHS ...... now that's an example to set eh ! Pass round some more smokes everyone ...... set by example eh ! Malc
  8. Ok guys . so who's converting to FrackingGas then when it comes around in a year or two ? India has CNG we have LPG so let's give it a for the Fracking FFsake gas asap ....... Hydrogen gas, who needs it when we can dig F FFs Gas from our own backyards Malc
  9. had some success very recently with the Honda Legend using the Halfords Turtle Wax product at £6.99 or so Malc
  10. I should have filled up today instead then as I'm going Gillingham way .. Cest le Vie ..... it's ONLY money Maybe Sittingbourne and Sheppey are seen to be sitting gullible ducks by the super chains eh ! UNFORGIVEABLE ............ a sound reason not to use them for comestibles etc ...... use Aldi and Lidl eh ! Malc
  11. I was ripped off then ( as usual ) ........... my local Tesco is 164.9 for E10 ......... are they still allowed by Govt decree to operate local cartels ? I remember reading that the offensive offence of these was STOPPED by law some while ago but rescinded as this oil crisis developed Oh how the Caring Supemarkets look after their customers eh !😭 Malc

BRENT CRUDE just now at $89 ... does that mean petrol at about a squid soon £1 with the world awash with oil and then cheaper petrol ............. enabling us Goody Greenies to run our V8 Ls400s more usefully ................ ??? Paid 170.7 for E5 yesterday at my local Morrisons in Sittingbourne ..... is that an ok price ? Malc
  14. SGS ( well known and well respected ) re-gas gas struts if that's the issue At 3 years young your car shouldn't need anything like this replacing surely No idea what re-programming you need unless it's summat to do with the electronics from switch to strut not reading ................. too complex for me these modern high tech cars I think simply finding out WHY you need NEW STRUTS would be a good start ....... are the struts worn out ( surely not ! ) or is it the electronics that's awry maybe ? Sorry .......... I can't offer any other thoughts here Good luck Malc
  15. Beemers and Mercs abound tho' Malc

I'm all for upping the keep route of V8s for sure trying to fathom how you'd be driving both amazing cars at the same time or indeed how one would choose which to drive of the two ENJOY Malc
  20. I'm with Saga now for many years ..... I'm a tad confused ..... I was quite thinking that Saga now promoted themselves ( to me anyway ) that they now no longer charge these amendment fees.... . premium increase yes, but a simple non-financial amendment fee, well, NO Suggest you re-check this with them,........ if you can bear to be on the phone again for another hour Malc
  21. I have absolutely zero useful advice on this front Good luck with however you approach this en-lightening issue BUT .... having invested soooooo much in your car already, just thinking maybe an excellent Auto Elec guy might be the sound of reason Malc
  22. yes, these are the ones I'm referring to .... and with one windscreen I did replace ( under insce of course ) those silly simple trims were incredibly expensive ....... and then on another later windscreen, just no longer available take care, do in situ if possible methinks Malc
  23. Take care with the likely fragility of those trims .. being sacrificial to some window fitters in times past and NOT now being available to replace I know i had an issue many moons back with a replacement windscreen ...... so for the sake of painting I'd be inclined to be ultra ultra careful Malc
