Hi all, I purchased an angel eye kit on e-bay from HIDs-Direct. I went with these ones as they are reputable supplier who I also got my HID kit from a few months back. However after 10 days they have not shown up so i called them today and......."They are not in stock, we are getting delivery in 2 weeks. But I do know that two kits are being sent back by people that dont want them" Hmmmmm alarm bells ringing....people that dont want them? They dont exactly break the bank at £31.99 so I am wondering why 2 people want to send them back? I got a refund for now but..... Did anyone on here get them from HIDs-Direct? Are you satisfied? Or are you one of those that sent them back? Can anyone else recommend a supplier they are completely satisfied with? Help appreciated :-) Bill

Leave my car to de-mist for 5-10 mins each morning and when I get in to drive away all I can smell is petrol! Strongly! Would a new pollen filter cure this? Or should I look for a more technical prob with such a strong smell?

So the answer is....park facing UP a steep hill....open rad cap....run engine topping up at same time....? Did I read something about having the heaters on the front screen going aswell?? This will circulate the coolant through the matrix right? Same method was used with my old fiesta haha

How does the connection to the OEM stereo work? Is there a line in on the OEM Stereo? What connection does this "Grom" adapter offer? Is it a simple 3.5mm Jack? Reason I ask is that I have a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music that uses a 3.5mm jack for its output....could I use my Nokia with this Grom adapter? Are there other connections/interfaces that people have used with OEM stereos?

Cool cool...im not looking for a shine or sparkle...just a best colour match with the rear likes....want to get smoked repeaters also... With the indicators.....we are 582 wedge type correct? Can only see 581s on Ebay :-(

Although they are "Black Chrome" they look totally grey to the naked eye...wouldnt you agree? Hi all, Having read all the threads on this subject I have decided what I wish to do with my headlights, but still wanted to ask a couple of small questions that people may or may not know the answer to. 1) I want to spray my chrome insert the same grey shade as my smoked rear lights (std on my 51 plate sport). Does anyone know the shade of the rear light cluster or shall I just go get a can from halford to best match? 2) Can you do the same to the fog lights as you do with the headlights.....ie, take the chrome moulding out and spray it to match the headlights? 3) With the orange reflector removed and silver bulbs inserted, are the indicators very bright? IE will they pass MOT and are people on the road going to be able to see which way I wish to turn haha??? 4) What is the best product to use to clean my lenses up like new? Help is appreciated...I know there are a few threads already lying around on this...apologies. Bill

So does anyone know if the front windows are all the same tint accross the whole IS200/300 range?? Sports have darker rears, but im sure as the fronts are restricted by law, they will be the same accross the range??

So you pass MOT with the HID kit, provided they are at the right level for the tester thing?

BIG question which we have all prob heard before.......will they pass the MOT? Or should I just put my halogen bulbes back in for it save the trouble??

Ill give them a call....but as the damage was caused by anonymous impact from a car....they may force me to claim for the whole thing - which im not doing as I have a mate in bodywork who is going it on the cheap for me. Just the window i need to sort myself. Cheers for the advice.

It has scratches and chips caused by someone hitting my wing mirror so hard it damaged my window. Not smashed....can I still claim? Think my glass excess is £50....I can get one from breakers for £20.....

Hi, I need to replace my drivers front door glass....I have a Sport and therefore have darker rear windows. Do you know if the front windows are the same as the rest of the IS200 range (S, SE etc)??? I would have thought so as the law restricts tints to the front windows only. I just want to know do I need to tell the breakers I need the glass from a Sport or just any IS200/300?? Thanks

But if its a prob with the button, wont i need a new shell and transmitter part? I was gonna do that to get a spare key anyways. I park my car on a private estate full of flates etc so its possible that someones wireless is interfering....one thing I haven't tested is locking the car in a different location... Ill try that before i swap the battery tonight....then obv swap the battery anyway. Actuator? Is that the solenoid in the door? I thought that.....but then why would it unlock but not lock?

Any suggestions with my prob below: Opened my car yesterday morning no problem...drove to station parked up and my key wouldnt lock my car? So I waited for it to lock itself on the timer thing and left it went off to work. Came back last night and the key opened the car first time drove home no probs....got home, car wouldnt lock again. This morning same thing has happened. When i press to lock the car the little red light on the fob shows which would suggest the battery is not low...what else could be preventing the car from locking? Is it possible that the battery is only slightly low, ie it has enough power to light the LED but not to send a signal to lock the car???

Ive seen blank keys with transponders on ebay for approx £40 Programming is a manual process of sequences....I have found the workshop posting for programming keys

Hi all, Apologies if there is already a million and one threads about this topic….I couldn’t find what I needed to know. My key fob wouldn’t lock my car this morning, which is odd as it unlocked it when I got into it…..Ill put this down to a flat fob battery which isn’t a major concern but…... Question 1) Can I just get a battery, remove the tiny screw, replace and it’ll work? Question 2) Will opening the car using the key into the door set the alarm off? Question 3) Will my engine start if my fob battery is dead? Question 4) Can I buy one of those blank keys off of ebay and code it myself or do they need to be coded by Lexus? I have the original 3 button fob key, but no spares and want one just incase…. Help and advice gratefully appreciated  Bill

So if it passes the MOT, why is it illegal? hahahaha BAFFLED
