  1. blueprint are also excellent and a great price.. could do the whole front end for about £100..
  2. Yup no doubt it will have toyota logo in centre of steering wheel too...
  3. i have delphi lockheed discs and pads.. awsome... personaly never had much luck with mintex.. just my braking style though
  4. Would have thought they would stick out like a sore thumb with an ET30 offset.. the stock wheels are more like ET45.. so in theory the wheels would be near abouts 15mm further towards the outside of the arch.. would be ok though if you had new and wider arches though
  5. exhaust tip is looking nice. .exactly what i was after.. im really not wanting a loud exhaust anymore.. but the twin end pieces on my GS just are not looking their best.. nor do they propperly fill the holes.. may take a trip down there to get some popped on... although i would want them upside down so no visable branding.. UPDATE Here is a link to all the styles of tips that they do... http://www.powerflowexhausts.com/tailpipes.asp Hope it helps
  6. Autoglym do a specific product for this.. i think its onyl £3-4
  7. i love the fact that the product has been availiable for more than 10 years.. and as soon as JML put an advert up. people buy it... Its just like any other cutting compound.. although its strong enough to remove paint from single layer paints (i.e. solid colour) so dont use it too hard
  8. Hell yeah i would have a fire brigade one.. just not a home use (i.e once a year numpty proof one).. but then i imagine that the material is about 10 times as thick and strong we have a set of fire brigade spec jaws of life at work for cutting off cats.. and they are so much better speced than the normal cat cutter tools for every day use
  9. I have always used the Blueprint pads on my supercharged IS200 untill i sold them, they were the only ones not to continualy glaze over.. and when i went to get some for my GS the price was £22.60 +Vat for a front set.. cant argue with that.. untill they didnt have any in stock that was.. so they gave me a set of Delphi Lockheed pads for the same price.. and they are excellent.. as long as you can remove a wheel, and have access to a 14mm spanner/socket set.. you can change a set of pads.. its that simple
  10. #plus we have had more than one customer who came in for a new petrol tank becuase they jacked the car up on it and it pierced through.. 3 seichentos (fiat thing) so far...
  11. we had one come in but threw it away at work as we couldnt see that it would be overly safe as there is nothing to stop it moving about once inflated.. unlike a solid jack.. also a non return valve is great.. but not if someone punctures it.. personaly i couldnt justify the H&S risk of it collapsing, where as our normal jacks and lifts etc get safety inspections and tests on a yearly basis. as for not needing to be a mechanical person to use a jack.. yes thats true.. but then ask a lot of motorists who purely use a car as an A-B (i.e. no love for it just use it till it dies) vehicle how they would jack up a car.. and where.. they would probably not know or say phone the AA.. I could only see that as an occasional use "get me home" item.. but then thats my personal opinion..
  12. personaly.. i would only look to using that for emergencys.. what is to stop it deflating? I would opt for buying a low level jack.. far safer if you ask me if your gonna work on the car as such.. that would probably be good if your a non mechanical person chaning a tyre at the side of the road...
  13. Is this the GS that you had at hot import nights in 2005? the one that was a GS300 badges as a GS430? Hope its been made a tad more tasteful than back then... As far as intergration.. do you mean keeping the stock head unit? or the stock speakers plus head unit?
  14. did mean to ask dave (sorry its a bit off topic) but were you ok at brands last sunday.. Saw the smoke coming from the near side and then you pulled in.. hope its all ok, was a really good meeting i think
  15. http://www.dclass.co.uk/ they are about as good as you will get.. i had my last lexus fully retrimmed by them and he did an amazing job.. he could refoam the seats with a more dense and supporting foam then put back the seat cover.. or for about £1400 he would completely retrim your whole car in what ever leather and foam you want..
  16. dont suppose it helps that most of them work for the local council etc.... they never leave the area.. suppose i have over generalised.. although if i lived in rainhill still i dont think that i would have pursued the career and paths that i was given when we moved, but then if say we had moved to brixton or something it would have been different again.. horses for corses and all that i suppose.. admittedly my dream location is a 50 acre ranch in the middle of the desert with a huge aircraft hanger filled with tools and machinery and no neighbours to *****.. i love the idea of a solitary life of reading with interspersed traveling around the world.. have to say i dont think anywhere in england is really gonna be good in a good 20 years... thats why i still wanna move to palm springs or there about in california.. probably a few years off though.. but will help with my arthritis (had since 18)
  17. also.. technicaly down south (i.e. kent & surrey) north is anything past the thames... and there is an essex / kent rivalry.. mostly because they all whinge about paying the £1 toll to come to bluewater when we have always paid to go to lakeside... i even had to pay an essex customer to drive over the bridge once because he wouldnt pay the £1 toll to collect his parts..
  18. its a shame that as tax payers we cannot make them refund the money they wasted for such a stupid idea.. would make their dreamers think twice about getting money for stupid projects if they knew that they would have to pay it back if it didnt work out.. as for the north south divide.. its all just a bit of fun.. it will always be there.. after all we are still a tribal country supporting different football teams etc.. i love the south you love the north.. we all love england.. therefore we are all united by the same idiots that run the country
  19. its very easy to convert the GS300 mk2 to a aftermarket head unit if you can use a soldering iron and have about 30mins to spare.... there are no RCA outputs on the back of the head unit.. but there are options for converting the output signal leads to RCA..
  20. You seem to be saying the same thing as in my personal circumstance? well yes it did for me... but then as one family i dont think we made a slight ripple upon southern society... but if there had been 3 million of us then it would not have been good. we moved to take up a specific position/job.. and not just on a hope and a prayer.. the best thing to me about the south.. is that is because it has southerners in it... i know that sounds strange but its a way of life.. where as when i go back up north everthing is so different, the attitude etc.. i like it down here and dont want it to change.
  21. just north of Milton Keynes :winky: that far up.. to me thats the midlands.. i say start it at the bottom of the M1... and across from the seven to the essex coast.. get the registration spotting cameras and alert the police of incomming northeners heading for the wall.. lol
  22. i can see where your coming from.. but its all proportionate... with regards to wages and house prices.. food and clothes etc.. it all depends on where you were brought up i suppose... i am absolutely nothing like my cousins etc.. they dont seem to want to explore the world or their boundaries.. they just want to work in a factory etc and just come home.. then go to the garden centre on a saturday and the pub on sunday.. thats their whole life.. the south is a really nice place.. agreed london is a bit scummy in places but so is the north... there are plenty of parts of the south that are nothing like london, but also suffer from lower wages etc... and also lower house prices.. this studdy seems to generalise too much that the south will offer a better life.. seem to remember something like that being broadcast on polish tv... about england..
