  1. we have been more busy as the price of scrap etc has droped meaning the pikiey scum wont be getting such a big pay day so more cars will be brought into us as a legitimate company, along with people needing more spares etc has seen profits double over that of previous months.. more abandoned vehicles and more un-insured vehicles also.. tyre sales are also up a fair but as people are buying part worns over new.... plus i can lower buy in prices as people dont have another option... so for me at least... this are looking quite good for the crunch (touches wood)
  2. i damaged 1 strand of the multicore wire that the ABS sensor uses and it threw out a fault on my IS200... best this was a new unit from lexus was £80 and all it needed was to be clipped in at one end and screwed in the other... then driven for about 100 meters and all the lights went away. i believe that it measures resistance so anything that changes will make it apprear as a fault..
  3. no need to cut anything, just need some harness quality wire.. two toyota iso harness's and about an hour or so..
  4. do you have sat nav or just the stock head unit.. i have the wiring diagram from when i made my own harness (amp bypass) using two toyota iso plugs.. so if you can get an idea of the pin options for the amp bypass leads i could help
  5. fair enough... was gonna be getting my sport lip sprayed when i get round to ordering it.. so will pop the sensors in with that when it goes in. Only thing i was thinking was that my dash is black and my roof grey material... wonder if they would do me a black dashboard display and a grey roof mount
  6. Get some anthrax spores and put them in a little clear bag marked as "charlie" for your birthday.. let em shove it up their nose and watch their lungs come back up in a pulp.. justice done
  7. just as i was getting into it ---- it all stopped
  8. is there any reason why you wouldnt be going back to the steelmate system as it looks a lot nicer in my opinion... and really looking into this now as i should be getting my car back at end of week.. i would look to go for the 8 sensor front and rear system
  9. currently driving a CLK 280 and am loving the parking sensors on it, they are a LCD panel with no numbers (distance) on it.. would really love to get a front and rear setup.. on the CLK the rear sensor is mounted in the roof lining so that when your looking in the rear view mirror you can see it.. would love to do that to the GS
  10. dont suppose you want to say what your doing currently... As for prices too cheap.. definately sounds like there is a cash deal being done.. £50 on the books and £100 in the pocket.. Personaly i would go for a total closure of company or at least get your one started so as soon as the cash is in your account you can start trading and move over all the clients, just bring in a few new shiny things that you know he cant do and rob all the work.. sorted. He definately is covering for something, and that can only lead to problems further down the line. I wish you the best of luck with your new venture :)
  11. i definately feel like he knows something and is keeping it from you.. and to be honest if he doesnt know what he wants he is either a bad lier or a bad business man... either way you may be better off not carrying him... get all your money back plus the three years split proffit as a bare minimum.. take your clients in with the deal, as at the last min he could conclude that in purchasing you out of the company he is also buying sole rights to the clients which could land in court etc if not nailed down precicely.. Is he in money trouble? or has he booked a slot on dragons den? these things dont just appear from a mad night of drinking.. someone who wants a no questions asked financial control combined with work type is definately doing something that he knows you wont like.. im not sure what your current company does.. but as i always say.. money between friends is a bad thing.. and you need to separate yourself from it all now before it gets ugly.
  12. well if you live in manchester.. just park it up in a dark part of town and stand back.. within 15 mins some little hoodies will turn up with bricks and a jack... wait till they have the wheel nut off that you need then scare them off.. nowt better than theives to get off a locking wheel nut... Another option failing that is to either let the tyre down then call out the AA or RAC (if your a member) as they have the propper tool.. Go to a breaker yard, as a lot of the time they keep all the spare locking wheel nut keys.. find one thats close then force the old ones off.. MAC tools and Snap on do propper ones, i have a set of the MAC ones and they are great.. mostly designed to be used with a impact driver rather than by hand.. Other than that.. you may get assistance at the usual tyre outlets
  13. Yep it was odd, even the guys at wiperblades.co.uk were surprised and weren't sure whether they were a dud set, but were happy to give me a refund anyway. The biggest annoyance was everytime they changed direction, there was a clunk on each side as the blade swapped over to the other side before coming back the other way. They do sound like a dud set, as mine are soft as fook... and are silent// plus they look a lot cleaner than a framed set of normal blades
  14. sell him 1% of your share and sit back and let him control the company.. This just sounds to me like he wants to go it alone, and the only reasons i can see for that is if its either not working for you both together.. or he has predicted that there is more money to be made in the next 3 years and wants it to himself. Im not sure what you do for a business but in the end just getting your "half" is not really fair in my opinion.. as your initital work etc into the company and investment will have got it to the point of sale, and if your not making money then there was little or no point. I would look at the future 3 years worth of work on the books or projected and look at that as a figure for buy out as otherwise i would retain a decent share of the company and become a silent partner just taking money out in dividends etc. But there is no way i would do any of this without a registered professional.. it will save you in the long run.. and it will save him from screwing you over. But in the end if he can float the money to buy you out then there is something there that he isnt telling you Also what would need to be agreed in the sale? would you have to relinquish your rights to operate or trade within the trade? could you use your current customer base? in the end your money and work helped get the company where it is...
  15. again thats kinda strange as i get no noise.. tbh in the CLK im driving at the moment there is more noise from the wipers.. although i spend a good 80% of my time on the motorway going to work.. so maybe at slower speeds they could be noisy.. but i have found previously with other wipers on my IS200 that the brand of washer fluid could change the type of noise.. supose it could eat the rubber etc
  16. hmmm thats strange as i have them on my GS and have seen a 100% increase in the effectiveness of the wipe and have had them on for over 6 months with no degredation in performance.. got them from here http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/product-list....lass=ncv&c= Where as my other half has the Velco versions on her Seat leon and they didnt last more than 3 months..
  17. If he did have a 1991 IS300 then thats awsome... he got it 10 years before it was released.. lol My bad...the US LOC post says '91 Is...perhaps they meant LS...or is this also not possible? I think the LS came out in 1989.. i think.. so it could be that
  18. Well personaly i would bet that having the engine open to the elements to that extent will be detremental to the longevity of your engine and its components.. such as water buildup on the top of the cylinder head.. leading to problems for the coil packs etc.. Personaly i think you have ruined the lines and the look of what is undoubtbly (sp) a very well designed and agressive bonnet. If you had the BTCC full bodykit on there with wide arches, a huge turbo and a few hundred more ponies then i could understand.. but i have to say that i would expect that on a corsa for a first time modder let loose with an angle grinder...im not adverse to vents as they can be benificial.. but your only a few sq ft of metal away from no bonnet at all! And as for the V12 stickers....... :tsktsk: maybe get some AC ****zer badges and some AMG ones to go with them along with a nuremburg ring sticker for the boot
  19. a ton is fine really... offer £80 cash though.. lol talk him down as you will need to buy a roll of high quality bodyshop grade double sided tape as its part of the fitting process.. As well as you will need to get the 4 x fixing screws
  20. even if your not covered on your insurance... as long as you have a case against the other party (idealy with a witness) companies like help hire take it upon themselves to recover the money etc and provide everything.. .tunbridge wells is about 30-40 mins south of london and i will be getting my car back this week so can show you the results... if not look in the IS200 room as there are loads of photos of a car that motorcare have resprayed
  21. look for the next person to recieve half a dozen free ones.... lol.. then you will know who..
  22. If he did have a 1991 IS300 then thats awsome... he got it 10 years before it was released.. lol
  23. would say a semi gloss would look a bit better.. or a satin rather than a straight matt... or how about having it in a gloss black with a body coloured blue lip around the edge
