  1. Yeah I have never seen a mk2 sport without a TTE lip. It was added as standard by the dealer at new, UNLESS the original owner asked for it to be taken off, OR it's had a crash on the front, and someone has just put a regular bumper on. Its definately had a new bumper on it, as they did say something about hitting a fox.. no damage to any of the supporting structure or the rad so thats the main thing. Will just have to order a new one up from a dealer.. thankfully a new lexus dealership has just opened less than 2 miles from my house!!! yay Thanks for the comments guys.. also the piping is a standard thing on the sport it seems, have seen it on a few more of them.
  2. Absolutely loved it, awsome power, handling and not bad on the juice either.. make sure you go for a or Aventura though. Only reason i got rid of it was because i had 3 attempts to steal it outside my house.. and i was worried they were just going to come into my house to get the keys! so sold it.. 3 weeks later someone in my area had one stolen after forced entry into the house while they were there!! so was glad i got rid!
  3. this one never touched the forecourt in the end, came straight as a PX from lexus croydon but as it was out of their age range they got it to McCarthy.. went to see it while it was still being valeted and put the deposit on it there and then. She seems to be really good so far (touch wood)....... Mods.. of course there are gonna be a few... but only well placed and planned ones. Interior re-trim by D:Class again is on the cards later this year when i work out what i want done.. and a few other bits i want ot explore
  4. Well after selling my IS200 a year ago i couldnt work out where i wanted to go.. had a 03 3.2 vectra.. a Navara D40 pickup and even a Volvo S80 2.9 for a short while... But when i found this i just had to buy it. A 1999 GS300 Sport with 50,000 on the clock and a full service history. Its certainly nice to be back in a lexus, as soon as i got in it i felt like i was back home. Back to the comfort and feel that they have. best thing was the dealer threw in a full service with belts etc all changed. Just enjoying driving her now.. like the BT advert "its good to come back" here she is Will be taking that plate off and putting my own on there.. so if anyone knows someone who might want that plate give me a shout
  5. http://www.albinbmotors.co.uk/html/about_us.html Are these the people you mean? Also has there been any further resolution to this?
  6. In the interest of love and happyness and not expressing any personal oppinions.. *** forbid i have edited my post. Lexus bromley i love you all... you provide a wonderfull serivce to all
  7. to be honest since lexus bromley went "Jemca" they massively went downhill... they changed their service manager who was brilliant! They seem more intent on pushing the toyota side of the brand, and amalgamated the reception area... the new service manager seems like a bit of a **** really. The excess is directly payable to the repairer and not the insurance company, and the insurance company dont care if you pay them normally.. your correct in using it as your leverage. Make an official complaint to lexus uk ! good luck
  8. all i can suggest is Sextons in wandsworth, my friend Jay owns it. They have all the dealership contracts for Ferrari and merc and Rolls for all their aftermarket and alarm fittings. Best thing i can say is give them a call, they did all my audio in my lexus and it was all flawlessly installed. 0208 877 1148
  9. http://www.medwaysecurity.com/auto_locks.htm i use these people all the time, tell them S&P motors sent you... really cant fault them.. and they come to you!
  10. "Where such a vehicle is stopped and the window tints applied are such that the Visible Light Transmission level, when measured using an approved device falls to below prescribed levels, the following enforcement guidelines have been agreed with, and recommended, by the Government." Although the officer may have been helping he has also not followed his forces own guidance, this sounds more like vigilate cop methods rather than a by the book guy... Ask to have the officers eye calibration certificate displayed, im sure that will confuse and amuse.... in the end proof is needed, and without a calibrated light meter surely he cannot be the judge and jury... Damage to property shouldnt not apply to police, like when they smash doors in then find they are in the wrong house.... although im sure if he felt that strongly that he would risk a slap on the wrists that your tints would hardly be described as a light smoke?
  11. aido loving this one, gonna have a look to see how much SC430's are going for
  12. it was nearly getting to the stage where the car was about to never leave, i think if i hadnt sold it by june i would keep it forever. Nothing easy about giving this one up, but times keep moving on n all that..
  13. The new owner definately seems like he will look after it, had to make sure of that.
  14. Well mixed emotions really, Someone came up from Bournemouth last night to see the car and decided to buy it. They left me with a £6k deposit with the other £4k to pay on sunday, now i dont want them to take it... so unfair lol. But she has to go to make way for a new project (now undecided.. :duh: ) Either way i forgot how heart wrenching it is to sell a car, at least they didnt even quibble about the price, not even a little bit. Have to say i will miss her a lot, but now i have to find something to replace her with... after taking out a 350z i have to say im leaning towards something 2 door, but still unsure.. Oh well its been fun here, hopefully i will find something within the lexus family
  15. well after a bike accident you should change all the gear that you crashed in, i have seen leathers that have cost over £2k and a decent lid will set you back about £400-500. Bike plastics are stupidly expensive too, but if he is faulsly claiming then im sure they will catch him out. But for the valuation he must have provided recipts. Still it makes no sense, i had a similar thing where i was the biker and the car caused the problem, yet they let the driver go free and i lost everything
  16. have had black and silver plates on for about 14 months now and only been pulled over once, admitted that i put them on and ended up chatting to him for a while. Needless to say i didnt get any fines or anything like that, so its all dependant on the officer. The plates were all of legal size and legal font and were clearly readable. Had to assure him of my intentions to replace them ASAP though with white and yellow backed plates... still keep meaning to do that!
  17. have to say fair play to the fella, not into football myself (something about worshipiping men in shorts) but if he can take over $250 millon dollar for his family + endorsments then go for it fella! for $250 million then i wish i were him.......
  18. can you get silvervision bulbs for the IS indicatiors? If so i want some as i had to take the standard bulb and wrap orange tape that you use when you go abroad around it!! works pretty well though
  19. if all goes well me and the lexus are on show up there on the BRSCC Cruise sport stand, but it all hinges on today...... but things are NOT going well and i may not even get to visit the show!! So not fair!
  20. paypal, what a joke... i had that situation sort of... Sold a phone to a guy in poland... sent it.... 6 weeks later he claims he never recived it, sent proof of postage etc and photos of parcel etc etc... paypal decided to refund him £120 out of my account, get a nice email from him 2 weeks later saying thankyou for the free phone!!! Sent it to paypal, who said there was no proof that it was real and said the matter is closed.... bunch of *****
  21. ok ok, now i sort of understood that you were talking about chips here... but then i got confused. am i to take it that a duel core processor just spreads the load, rather than doubles the performance... same performance but can have higher drain aplications on it?
  22. Ok well as the former organiser of the previous meets to bluewater i would say that they are great as long as there is a plan... But on a different note, as a few of you know i work with a goverment funded initiative to combat illigal cruising etc along with getting people to track days etc for subsidised rates. Part of that involves us working with local councils and communitys. One of those being Bluewater. I would not advise anyone this side of 2006 to attempt to hold a meet at blue water untill after the festivities. We have worked with them to help aleviate any "unsocial (to the customers) meetings". Basicaly and form of car meet will be shut down as it is private property and the police will be involved. i know that the LOC meets are calm but they are using a blanket policy as they are kicking out all the silly little barry boys to try and keep the families happy. But this does have a happy ending, they will be allocating a car park in the new year for use of car clubs to hold meets without any fear of recrimination. But this will only be achieved with people agreeing to give the security a break over christmas. many thanks

  24. hope you recover soon, make sure you take note of every pain you have as bike injurys have a habit of haunting you.... For example 90% of my symptoms were dissmissed by doctors at the hospital on the day, leading to them going untreated.... then 2 years of painful operations and ongoing recovery with over 8 dislocations due to the deformed shoulder socket.... and they are still finding new things!! take care, rest up and chill out for a good while.... and do what i did, stay off the bikes and get in the lexus
  25. again i also dont want to get involved, but for what its worth do you not have to display your public liability insurance certificate (photocopy or otherwise) at the place of buisiness? and he cant claim on it untill harm has come, so i cant see it doing any harm, even if you blank out a few bits for security purposes. Either way it has to be availiable for inspection. I dont think it should be an issue, and i feel by making it an issue then you may be putting doubt in the minds of others who do not know you. Nobody here bar nico needs to see the details of the documents and maybe he should agree to never disclose them in the public domain? I refuse to take any sides in this thread as it serves no purpose, but i would just like to see an amicable solution for both sides This may mean meeting in the middle with regards to the documents asked for etc... for both dave and nicco. I think that the longer mud is being thrown , and mud stirred by others is putting a spin on things and bringing up tension that should be avoided. Plus its christmas, the time for festivity and not hostility... Even in WW1 they stopped killing each other only for a little while at christmas..... how about a little LOC truce for the holidays? merry christmas to all involved and all reading this
