  1. i have the same thing, its so annoying. i have tried everything, lubricated every visable point i could and still nothing. even my driver seat has a squeak coming from the inside somewhere? aghhhhhhhhh. and that combined with the sunroof cover sqeaking makes me think im in a damn for somwtimes
  2. yes, the one i pulled out from the front of the box. looks like a large plastic spike. should i just lengthen the wires and drill a hole in the induction pipe? as the idle sites a lot lower than it used to and i dont want it to affect the fuel mix by lowering the fuel output
  3. just fitted my TDi carbon fibre induction kit to my car today. got it from Fever so i had no instructions. got it to fit on but here are a few little questions:- The induction kit is resting on the power steering fluid pipe, and needs the bonnet pushing to be shut, not to bad tho. the air flow sensor! where does it go, my revs are sitting at idle at about 600 or so, dont want the mix to run too lean. cheers guys. but it does sound great! cant wait to have it together with the HKS hiper that will soon be on its way!
  4. yeah i hope so too! i think im gonna have no choice about fitting them seperately now, but it would be nice to gain 8hp rather than 5 and 3 seperately.
  5. has anyone had any news, no replys to my Pm's yet. sent my money about 6 weeks ago and still no news. my induction kit will be here soon and i want to put them on at the same time to get a rush of power (until i get used to it that is) . summer is almost here and i wanna be driving with the windows down to hear that sweet sweet sound
  6. im not sure if im correct but could this be the engine protecting itself. Is it possible that the induction kit is allowing too much air to go in, more than it can match with its fuel pumps. making the mix too lean. its a possiblity, or that the air sensor is getting false readings and needs to be changed. im sure i have heard of this before somewhere. would make sense tho as on the motorway your more likely to be keeping the car sucking down huge gulps of air for extended periods of time. dont cruicify me if im wrong tho
  7. dont forget that if you go to a dealer they add their markup. go direct to a paintshop. it will be far cheaper
  8. ok i think i might go with these two:- router card card i think the router sounds like it just connects to the usb port, less hastle plus its 54mbs sounds quite fast
  9. so if i bought a pair of these would that be enough to get my laptop connected? altho it would require a main pc to always be on wouldnt it. novac usb lan
  10. just got back from the bodyshop, diagnosis :- New rear bumper and spray rear pannel need beating and straigtning plus after looking at the crap job lexus notting ham did on my front end prior delivery to me, i need a whole front end respray!!!!! i wanna scream!!! ahhhhhh
  11. hi, i just bought myself a new laptop (Toshiba satalite P10-722) and want to now set myself up with a little wireless connection for the broadband to it so i can work anywhere i want in the house. Question is ! what , when, where , why and how much???? Exisiting network is between my two home PC's both running XP and just networked together with two lan cards. Main PC has a NTL broadband connection which is shared. Just want to add the laptop as a wireless connection without spending too much, plus i dont have much networking skills or experience apaprt from using the XP network setup. cheers for any help, also looking to spend as little as possible as i gotta have my rear bumper fixed,
  12. well i leave my car parked in the road all day and guess what! some ***** has smashed into my rear bumper and now i need a new one. ok its not hanging off but both sides are pushed out and i think the plastic mounting is broken. so not happy! anyone have a price for a new rear bumper in astral black?
  13. well i pride myself on always knowing the feeling of my cars/bikes and over the years have been thru many different compounds and have never found OE pads to be very good, longevitry etc are the main things they are concerned with (as well as lots of dust!). On bikes such as suzuki, pads are ok but glaze over when you ride them hard, ebc HH pads give much better feel and grab, the same for mountainbike disc brakes, so what im trying to say is i know my brakes, and was a development rider for HOPE UK (disc brake manufacturer). And there was plenty of meat left on the pads when i changed them, a good 6mm on the piston side and 8mm on non piston side. But as compounds go they feel good, they are not noisy and are very positive and responsive, i believe its a sintered brass compound (or resembles one).
  14. stay optimistic dude, everything in life balences out, the guy that got drunk and spanked into you is probably in a well somewhere when he fell down it drunk and will never see the light of day (if there is a g.o.d) With the three spare wheels you could make a great and very funky coffee table! And when you get your car back from the spray shop it will look better than ever. you gotta look on the positve side of life or it just grinds ya down. to quote an episode of the simposons "turn that frown upside down".
  15. i have had the pads for 100 miles now and i can honestly say that they are 100 times better than the origional pads. Much more progressive and powerful. Less jerkyness when applying them hard. I full recomend them
  16. i was wondering about that actualy, i cant find any other manufacturer that does this style tho?
  17. actualy is there any way they can make a angel eye style kit for the fog lamps, as i have been pulled over by the police 4 times now for having them on and there are only so many times i can blame the auto light function for doing it before they wise up!! i think that it would be sweet to have them lit up but not bother people???
  18. well count me in, im interested.
  19. well there is no way on earth i would fit the OE pads ever, got so fed up of the dust, mintex came highly recommended and after 40 miles of driving feel much better, more progressive with an even bite. will report back about dust but i should imagine they will be better. Plus they should work well with my planned fitting of the DBA discs. The pistons were all the way back, the problem is in the inside face of the non piston side of the caliper, the distance between that and the inside face of the lower bolting face is a set and unadjustable distance. this is what requited me to remove that shim.
  20. hahaha, i was getting creative with the copper grease while the laquer was drying. I never forget to put copper grease on the back of hubs and studs after having trouble with a friends alloy that "welded" itself to the disc of a golf thru chemical reaction
  21. yeah, i probably should have done that but didnt have a lot of time, am planning on repainting the calipers tho this summer so wil do that then.
  22. cheers guys, they are actualy just down the road from me so will pop down tomorrow. The main problem is the distributer is out of stock not just the store which makes it realy annoying. glad you like them tho, does anyone know where i could get the logo made up for the centres, would need to be a printed decal with that thick clear domed covering, like on the new lexus keyrings. makes it look like its set in glass??? i have a realy nice lexus logo in photo shop which looks like the 3d badge itself
  23. thats what i thought too, not keen on 3" deep dish rims, but these have a rolled 1" dish, and the thin spokes make them look massive. realy wanted the 19" ones but didnt wanna sacrifice driving pleasure
  24. ok you have sold them to me :o they are so so sexy, perhaps a group of us could by them, meet up and do a mass install???? that way with more hands and different experiences we can do a good job?? sound good?
  25. ok, have just used photoshop to put the lexus "L" in the centre, much more classy!
