i have the HKS cone on my tdi kit and it comes a little further forward than that one. But i have plans to add an extra tube onto the IS300 part. That photo will be my inspiration for my extra panel too!

well you sound like you probably drive it like me, I have the HKS hiper exhaust, with the tdi carbon fibre induction kit with HKS filter. Its lowered etc and there is a simple way of working out how much its gonna cost you if you drive it even remotely hard - £20 = 100 miles! So work out how many miles ya do and see if you can afford it. Im lucky because i only have to drive my car for fun as i get the train to work. Aldo factor in the higher cost of tyres and that they like to eat them quick. £120-150 a tyre for a good one. and mine go in less than 7000 miles. more like 5000. :winky:

so what is the cost for the offical toyota part then? It does look good. i dont think it would be difficult to convert the toyota part to single din even if it doesnt come with a specific adapter. i just won this item on ebay that may help people considering this. lexus lazercut plate

i would definately love to do this, not sure where to start on any of this realy. Electronics isnt my forte. but i suppose that the main thing is if the motors are powered from an ignition on feed, but as for the rest of it i just get confused. I now wish i hasnt changed my aprenticeship from electronincs to mechanical design!!!

quickest way to get rid of a harrassing officer is to stop him for a moment, get a piece of paper, write down his numbers then ask him for his name. By this point he will be getting a bit worried. dont antagonise him but make it clear that you are recording every time he makes a point of talking to you for no good reason. I had this sweet dream last night that when i got in my car i put my keys in the ignition and as i turned it a pop up panel (very similar to steves sat nav kit) comes out of the dash. on that panel was a Honda S2000 starter button, and a Guage pod plus some shift lights. then once the car was turned off it all went away. Now this would be kinda cool, very trick and damn it i want it soooo badly now. Problem is i know very little of how to make it work. Steve - that motorised top tray that you made, could it be made to work with a carbon pannel instead of the screen? Plus you could have your nitrous switches and pressure guages on it as well!!!

what about having a kit where you supply larger diameter discs and a set of brackets to re-locate the standard caliper further out? could be a bit cheaper and less effort to install.

cool, i am bidding on a TRD grill at the mo, will still get it but i may get one of these coz they do look pretty good. and it looks like you get a good airflow through it.

i do like the idea of having one of these, im almost certain i will have one at that price. def would like to see a pic as im not sure if it would interfere with TDi N/A induction kit i have fitted, coz it already touches the hood when closed.

IS300.net Are they on the uk spec sports? i realy like it.

definately want a set of the titanium nuts. can i ask what that open ended thing is about tho? will my wheel wrench be able to fit over it to gain a good seating? and will it being open ended let in water and cause a seizure especialy once we get salt on the roads in da winter? can we source some rubber grommets or sumfin to go in there ? but i stillwant a set tho!

okay, according to the box its all ready to run. slap some wheels onto the box and you got a bad ***** crate. Plus you can still tune the engine to over 500bhp if your wallet will let ya. and without forced induction too.

look a little further back and there should be a link somewhere. The engine was developed to basicaly be dropped into a chassis, hooked up to fuel, drivetrain and the battery then run! how sweet does that sound. Plus it has an aircon compresser and a power steering pump! sweeeeeeet.

im in the £30-40k bracket but could be over the £50k one if all my bonus's come in hehehe. but i still think i had more disposeable income when i was an apprentice earning £5k a year!

well a brand new standalone engine from ford is $5000 with stand alone engine management! 400bhp. with conversion rates so good thats a little over £3000. maybe it should happen. shame to put a ford lump in there tho :o

well i got my one at 21, and all i got was respect. every cruise i go to you just have people drooling. I bet your saxo mates think they are so cool drving in a budget car! How many rap artists actualy rap about cruising in their saxo, no, they go on about their lexus etc. slam it, tint it and get a zorst. then see who looks better! Plus you wont be able to keep the girls away. Lets just say i have been extremely luck in mine! :zee:
