  1. Sorry to hear about this - if its any consolation the drivers are just as bad and inconsiderate over here - one of the reasons i went for a more robust vehicle
  2. have you removed the rubber bung and wound the handbrake adjuster back ? disk should pull off easily once that is done
  3. cambelt is listed in your breakdown as timing belt - from the look of ot they only changed one tensioner which is odd but they must have considered the other one servicable !! they must also have considered your bypass hose servicable which amazes me as its lexus themselves that charge £12 for them so usually they are changed as a precaution while the area is accessible - if the bypass hose is failing coming back from that work i think you have a very very strong argument as to why it wasnt replaced or why werent you notified when the cambelt was done - i would ask lexus to do the bypass hose for free labour wise as they should of done it with the cambelt , they know it should be done
  4. adrian flux insured me when no-one else would
  5. i paid £850 for 60,000 service plus cambelt, tensioners, waterpump and bypass hose after a very hard haggle - if hed had all that for 750 he did well but still lexus fault for not advising strongly enough to do the bypass hose at the same time - Mars wasnt really after a lip as it looks like the 300 i was getting wont be available for a bit as been pranged and im not gonna buy a car on the vcar list however cheap - might get a set of 20s for the disco instead - how are you by the way ? long time no hear
  6. at 60,000 your cambelt needs doing anyway, the bypass hose costs about £12 and gets changed while theyre in there shocks - pair excel g front shocks approx £130 from buypartsdirect
  7. not sure about that particular style of wheel but everything else you might need should be here many times over - not too far from you either, hope it helps SPAREPARTS
  8. let us know how it turns out , also has it had a cambelt recently as have read instances of temp sensor plugs getting dislodged or unplugged and not re-plugged
  9. also your brake pedal shouldnt be anywhere near the floor so hopefully you mean "at the end of its travel" or something similar ?
  10. IS 200S SUPPOSED TO BE PRETTY RESILLIENT IVE HEARD - IF IT Happens again put your heaters on hot and fan on high should hold it from overheating - could be your fan switch is disconnected/unplugged or even a fuse gone ! have you checked every fuse in all 3 fuseboxes ?
  11. my thoughts exactly dave - that spurty seems to know a lot about match...
  12. ive read on 250s seat rattles sometimes down to mounting bolts not tight
  13. get touch up paint from toyota at half the price of lexus - also there is a guy on ebay usa who sells the lexus paint in " pen " form which is like the halfords kit and easy to use compared to the mini paint brush affairs -
  14. hello and welcome to the club - is200 is usually pretty quiet until you work it hard and even then not loud so look and see if it has the standard air filter and airbox fitted - if not pick the bits up from a scrapyard.. your request to reduce throttle response is the first time ive heard anyone ask that as most want to improve what they feel to be a slightly sluggish car - if yours is quick off the mark i think youll be making a few people jealous tbh - might get better with standard air filter if not got one already
  15. theres THREE fuseboxes,,,,one in each kickpanel and one under the bonnet
  16. It was but the comment was more aimed at praising the settings lexus set my car to which are the later ones then the detriment of others - also i think its easier to pop back to a place which is local to you to fine tune or tweak any settings which you are not happy with
  17. I had mine done twice at wim, must of been bad days !! all problems eventually corrected at lexus brighton with revised settings - car drove better then ever after lexus were finished
  18. my se had a witter towbar on it as the guy i bought it off used to tow his little race, saily dingy thing with it , not sure why the sport would differ in fitting unless suspension height would be a factor
  19. is that for a pair parthibian £130 ?
  20. hello paul and welcome to the club - you might have to be a bit more specific in your question as to what problems you are having - im sure someone has suffered similar on here at some stage
  21. dodgem squad stand ?? not for me either way as have no jae suitable wheels at the mo -
  22. bring back national service - and schools for "trwat town" wherever that is ! - was his car really that bad ? autogloss sorry you didnt get much of a welcome i usually make a point of answering every post on here even if it is a newbie !! only joking but your in now so warm your cockles - tbh when i saw a valet co as a username i kinda switched off as it makes me jealous seeing all the good work you guys do that i need
  23. for what its worth a quick check on ebay and autotrader should show that £3k for an s reg gs300 se with that mileage sounds EXTREMELY expensive tbh
