  2. Got mine from a US seller on eBay. Total cost incl. Customs charges (they were automatically calculated during checkout process) was $362, which was about £260 at the time. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

  7. As title, had my spark plugs changed when I got the car serviced during the week. I normally just go to the Lexus dealer, but I think I'm done with paying those kind of prices now that the car is nearly 10 years-old. Instead, I sourced all the parts myself (genuine Lexus) and got a recently-discovered local independent to do the work. When I picked the car up, I chatted with the mechanic for a bit and it was obvious he was extremely knowledgeable about our cars and I asked him about the old plugs that came out. He was of the opinion that they were fine and would easily do 100K miles. I don't know what a "good" plug is supposed to look like, but here's a pic of them after doing 64.5K.
  8. Have a read through This Topic It's mostly advice for the IS 250 saloon model, but most of it will also apply to the convertible since the core mechanicals are the same. Things like body panels, doors, bumpers, rear lights etc (plus of course the roof!) are unique to the IS250C though, and it's a pretty rare car. so make sure they are all in good condition of any examples you have a look at.
  9. Much appreciated, Lee. I had an inkling that Bilt Hamber might get mentioned somewhere. Thanks for the links and information.
  10. There's a size difference in grilles between 2005-2009 and 2009-2013 (facelift) cars, but as far as I'm aware, the physical size of the grille is the same whether petrol or diesel.
  11. Great stuff, Lee. My last visit was a few pages back so I've just been catching up on all your progress. Suspension parts look much nicer now. Which techniques/products did you use to get them looking like that? I'm going to have to do something similar as I had my wheels off recently and was shocked at how rough things were starting to look underneath.

  14. Passenger side door jam On the plate will be a 3-digit code. On my car it's 1G1
  15. Further to that, the rotatable dial that controls the brightness of the instrument binnacle has a knock-on effect on the nav screen brightness. You have to dial it back one position from max brightness, otherwise the nav screen will always be stupidly bright - even in night mode.
  16. Those are the normal tyre sizes for a car with 18" wheels. The rear wheels are also half an inch wider than the fronts.
