  1. 48530-80506 is the part number as listed by Lexuspartsdirect, but they are over £200 each. Personally, I think I would be looking at something like Bilstein B6 as an alternative - considerably cheaper and have a reputation for being high quality.
  2. Lexus Swindon. I've ordered a fair amount from them recently and have nothing but praise. Use code LOVELEXUS to get free shipping on £100+ orders. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

  4. Usual regime for me is quite lengthy as I will usually spend at least an hour. I do the wheels first, then cover the car with snow foam (Bilt Hamber Auto foam) and go over the badges, door handles, fuel door, window rubbers etc with a detail brush whilst the foam dwells and does it's thing. Rinse off any remaining foam then 2 bucket wash with Autoglym UHD shampoo. Rinse again then I'll add some form of finishing product - either a quick detailer to double up as a drying aid, or if I have plenty of time available, I'll coat the car again with Gyeon Bathe + via foam lance, rinse it off then dry the car using a warm air blower. Finish up by dressing the tyres with Gyeon Tire.

  6. If that's the shampoo with the green label, then it leaves behind a small amount of wax-like protection after application. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

  10. Total cost for me was under £450. 2x Remanufactured IS350 Calipers imported from rockauto.com - £187 GS450h discs, pads & shim kit- £210 The calipers incurred an import tax charge of about £40 IIRC. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

  14. I must admit, the G-Spyder aka Baransu wheels on my previous car were also immaculate before it was written-off. I believe they're made by Enkei , so maybe just better overall quality than the normal Lexus wheels. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk
  15. You can sell them, as long as they're advertised in the relevant section - The buyers & sellers corner. I'd post a link if I wasn't on mobile...just scroll down, it's near the bottom of the forum. :) Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

  19. Welcome to the club, Andrew, and to IS 250 ownership. I would say £400 for a wheel refurb is a bit on the steep side, especially if you have 17" wheels. My last refurb (which admittedly, was 5 years ago) cost me £60+VAT per corner and that was for a shadow chrome finish on 18" wheels. The damage to the window trim looks like it might just be mold/dirt that could be cleaned off using an All-Purpose Cleaner as suggested by Linas. If the finish is still flat/dull after cleaning, the Gtechiq C4 trim restorer is definitely a good shout. I've not used it personally, but it seems to transform dull & greyed-out plastics and rubbers. Regarding the service costs. Circa £500 doesn't sound too bad if the parts are included (are they?). A couple of weeks ago I got a local indy to service my car including the plug change. They also fitted new front discs & pads and repaired my parking brake. They charged me £240 but I supplied all the parts including the oil.
  20. I also got my car MOT'd today - 18 months after the last one due to Covid-19 extension. (Pass, no advisories)
  21. @Sundance It does sound like that would be the route to take for you, Rowley. Don't get me wrong, when my car was newer I did take it to the Lexus dealer for servicing and quite enjoyed the "experience". I had toyed with the idea of getting an extended warranty at some point, so maintaining FLSH was something I could justify, plus the chance to drive a current model hybrid courtesy car was also something I quite looked forward to. With each passing year though, it became apparent that barely anything goes wrong with these cars and that the servicing routine is also pretty basic - a chain-driven engine with no complex stuff like valve clearance adjustments or what have you on the schedule. Basically just fluids and filters every time apart from spark plugs at 60K, and a coolant change at 100K. I'm not opposed to spending money on my car - I plan to keep it for a while yet and will buy & fit OEM parts no matter how old it is. It'll also always wear a matching set of premium tyres during my ownership. For servicing though, I would rather now give a local garage the work and put any money saved towards detailing products or something else that'll make better use of the money.
