  1. Its paisley freight that want all the cardboard and bubble wrap!! I would happily drive down my self but can't afford that AND the wheels catch 22 lol I will try and see if they would compromise with card board and cling film.
  2. Can anyone recommend a courier that doesnt want each individual wheel wrapped in cardboard and then bubble wrap too!!! Im trying to get some wheels up from Jim in Surrey but the couriers are way too fussy about wrapping!! Cheers Pete.
  3. Each to their own but have fun, the tyre companies are gonna love you :-)
  4. I don't know what these guys are like but some of their stuff looks like stuff from rock auto and they seem ok. I wonder if any anyone has used them in the past. It would be great if we had a list of good suppliers we could confidently use. Item number on fleabay 290639102536 Hope it helps.
  5. Cheer up Lowrider, its just a chuckle. I for one enjoy these threads as they often throw up some interesting info that I might otherwise have not known. :-)
  6. They have done a nice job on them, do they still need painting after the powder coating? Sorry if that's a daft question but if they don't I'm wondering how to get the centre plastic cap the same colour.
  7. I thought you had just bought some Mike, are you trying to corner the market! I think there is a pun in there somewhere......
  8. Staying power indeed. He lost me at the gold wheel stage! That told me all I needed to know about that car. Less audio and more maintenance might have helped this poor endangered big cat.
  9. Cheers guys I will get one next week if funds allow. Thanks for the info Mike much appreciated.
  10. Which one did you buy Mike? Do you have the link by any chance? I suppose I had better find out where the socket is on a mk3 if I buy one of these readers. Do they work on a mk3 does anyone know? Cheers Pete.
  11. Yeah what Sparkyhx said. What's the make and model of the one you have that works please. Cheers Pete.
  12. Thanks for the info I will look them up next time I'm over that way. Cheer up Mike you actually get served for 65p!!! Bonus.
  13. 59p!!! Where's that? What's the garage name etc if you don't mind me asking?
  14. Thanks Dale and Steve for sharing that info with us all, its very much appreciated.
  15. As a matter of interest, where did you find the solution to the problem? Is there a link online somewhere? Cheers Pete
  16. Absolutely normal behaviour. Had you taken the Bmw......then we would be worried!
  17. It would seem a lot are but postage is variable to the point that savings can be negated somewhat.
  18. It does sound like the "Roof Ajar" alarm. As I understand it, the warning sounds when roof tilted as opposed to slid back. I will try mine when it stops raining! Hope you find out what the problem is.
  19. Sheffield is a lot nearer than London so that would be great. I'm sure its something daft like an o ring as the leak wasn't that fast in fact the compressor still kicks in although ac not cold anymore. If you pm me when is best for you I will endeavour to get over to you work willing. Cheers Pete.
  20. Bugger! Must check relatives still to visit list.... Does anyone know of an equally skilled garage/mechanic in the northwest? Pete
  21. That's a great find, a garage that will actually fix rather than just want to replace expensive parts. How did they fix the leaks and where are you? I have a small leak which I'm sure is something daft like an o ring and would love to have someone who could actually do a proper diagnosis. Fingers crossed you are within 50 miles! Cheers Pete.
