    I use the "Fill Lpg" app on my phone which is handy and allows you to update price details to help other lpg users.

    Hi Colin I agree the engine oil just needs to be the correct grade etc but when it comes to gearbox oil its been reported some dealers have recommended dexron which as we understand is incorrect. I was just throwing in what I found out when I was researching gearbox oil. It may or may not be of interest.

    The reason Mobil seems to get recommended is that as far as I can ascertain they make the Toyota badged oil. Toyota Type TIV gearbox oil = Mobil 3309 for example.

    Nice car I like the colour. I agree about the registration though, I would remove the pics and photoshop out the reg number before putting them back up.

    Not that this much use other than to confirm my mk3 also has, lock unlock & boot release on one side, and panic button on the reverse side.

    Maybe we should do our own list of trusted competent suppliers/fitters etc for each area. That way we would be more confident of getting a decent honest job done and the good garages would get extra business. Happy days all round.

    Haha I wish Mike I wish. I must live in the same world as its always the last thing checked that's the culprit. Having said that I tend to learn a decent amount of stuff along the way :-) With regards to alternative methods I've tried the old switcheroo and its always been obvious that had I started where I originally proposed to I would have found the problem straight away........or would I !!!

    There's not much in it. Most of my driving is round town so I estimate about 19-20 on petrol and about 18 on gas. Since the conversion it runs so much better on both fuels but I did have the water pump and timing belt done at same time. Ps I found a Lexus trained mechanic who can do belts and water pumps in his sleep in case anyone in North West needs stuff done.

    I also had a bad vibration problem and wheel balancing made little difference. I too used the spare method and mine turned out to be offside front tyre causing the problem. Swapped out and all good now. Its a pain to check if it turns out to be the last one checked but cheap to try. Also check if one wheel is hotter than the other just after a run in case you have a sticky caliper, sounds odd I know but experienced similar vibration on an old Mazda xedos 9 I had. Good luck with your diagnosis.

    Thanks guys for the replies. I bottled out and filled up before it ran out so I would be ready for tonight's work. It took 64 litres so I expect it was about to run out anyway. I'm definitely liking the price.

    Hi Colin how many miles do you get from a whole tank full? I've just just had lpg fitted with a 77 litre tank I've done 220 on this tank full so far. Half motorway half round town.
