    I've never had to remove headlights just to change bulbs either! Dead easy on a mk3.

    I should imagine getting the wires through to original speakers will be a ball ache. Are the original speakers compatible with after market head units or are they different ohms or something like that? Has any one on here actually fitted an after market system?

    Yes its a mk3 radio backlights fixed but lcd virtually blank. My problem was although I have the sequence memorised therefore able to do without display, the unit did nothing. After many power resets I managed to enter the code. Much thanks for all the advice I will start looking for a new one before this one finally packs up!

    My radio is finally giving up the ghost and after disconnecting the battery wont let me re enter the security code. Now as second hand radios WITH a code are rarer than rocking horse do do, im being forced down the road of after market units. The problem with this route as most will be aware is the wiring. Im sure i saw a how to write up somewhere but im damned if I can find it anywhere. Can some kind soul point me in the right direction please? Cheers in advance.

    Thanks for all the info guys it seems I do have dhps but they will have to sit in my shed until I can find some centre caps, very frustrating! Daily searches of fleabay will have to continue......... Sigh.......

    Hi Graham I measured the hole and assuming (I might bewrong) that the cap is flush with the surface of the wheel the opening is 54-55 mm with a smaller circle inside at roughly 50mm I would say. Are yours definitely 62 mm across the face? It does seem odd about the size differences. The other possibility ofcourse is that I'm a half wit and don't have Dhps at all.... Anyone got a pic and or info regards how I may identify? Cheers Pete.

    I'm a little unsure how Mike has backed up his point! Its a dreadful advert and his response to questions seems very strange. Had I had a time waster as he suggests I would be attempting more detailed communication with possible buyers to try and eliminate cretins. Lets hope the car gets a good owner regardless and we see them on here soon then we can consider it another one rescued :-)

    I was traveling along the other day when I heard an irritating clicking sound. You know what its like, sounds that never bothered you in other cars are loud annoying intrusions in a Lex. After a 5 minute investigation I realised it was my watch ticking!!!!!! Got to love the 400

    Well I'm not having much luck locating any so far, if any one has any tips they would be gratefully received. I was wondering about other sources such as caravan shops as caravans often have plain unbadged alloys, any one ever tried this avenue? The search goes on................
