  1. Welcome to the LOC....hope you find the site useful :) .
  2. I started driving in 1979 i had a figure of 74p a gallon in my head.. all seems a long time ago :) .
  3. 40 ,all 100% Positive Feedback :D .
  4. I watched it and recorded it....don't ask :D
  5. Arrrr.. once you've had a IS200 during the winter months , you know NEVER to touch the traction control button :D .
  6. Just out of interest, how much would these tyres cost without the postage, ( as i'm only a 20min drive from you :) ) .
  7. It would be nice to have a thread that gives all the plus points, and trouble free miles of owning an IS200. I'll start the ball rolling...... My cars a Sept 2000 SE Auto, i bought it with 28K on the clock with FLSH. I';ve owned the car 15 months, i've service it myself and the only item i've had to replace outside the service schedule was a N/S headlamp due to condensation inside. She's never missed a beat come rain or shine, summer or winter. She is without doubt the quietest and smoothest car i've owned ( and i've had a few over the years ) :D . Maybe with 28K on the clock i'm not expecting any problems yet, but it would be nice to hear from members who's cars have a few miles under their belts and have had no faults :) .
  8. I've had none of the problems listed above, but if i did i would put it down to the fact that its a 4 year old car ,and all cars get wear & tear at some stage. Car clubs can be good and bad to potential new members, those of us that have owned an IS200 for a year or more ,know they have very few problems , but get a newbie up on the site , and he was to ask what problems do the IS200 have ,then everyone will chip in with possible faults, minor ones or not. Had i listened to all the advice i receive when first joining the LOC, i would have never of bought an IS200 in the first place, things like , CD with fault codes, worried the hell out of me , then that the steering lock could seize up at any miniute....etc etc. The IS200 is a fine car, it maybe a rebadged Toyota but still a fine car , and you don't come second in the JD Power customer satisfaction survey 2 years on the trot, if your a pile of c*ap, Enjoy you IS200 ,its one of the best cars in its class on the road today :D .
  9. Colin, i did mention to the guy ( Bill ) about the LOC and the gold discount card, maybe someone from admin can tell him a bit more about how it works ( well thats if members are interested in cheaper filters) :) .
  10. I found a site yesterday that sells pattern cabin filters, they sell them for most of the Lexus range, and in the case of my IS200, only cost half the price of the main dealer item. Yes i can here you say "you only get what you pay for" well ,i ordered one and it turned up in the post today, and to my suprise its more substantial and better made than the original. Go take a look on www.puravent.co.uk and save yourself a few quid :D
  11. turned out very quite last night, big sigh of relief :)
  12. Hmmm.... time to keep an eye on your motors tonight, if like me, your car is left on the drive, it could well have eggs and flour on it by morning . I've owned my car a year to the day, last trick or treat ,i spent most of the evening looking out the window on guard .
  13. I asked for a price today for the IS200 lower ball joints, price was £32.50 +vat ,and the top front wishbone was £114.12 + vat, can anyone tell me how that compares with main dealers prices ?.
  14. If your motor trade and have a company name you can use :winky: , sign up on the Blueprint site and their send you one,the worst that can happen is they say NO, my philosophy in life is.... "don't ask don't get " :D .
  15. Not sure where you are in Devon, but ALS Motor Parts LTD stock Blueprint parts, just give them a call :) .
  16. I got the same email back today ;) " sorry can't help..have your tried your main dealer" .
  17. You have to be in the motor trade or keep in with your local motor factors . if you want me to look up anything ,just shout :) .
  18. I've been waiting to get my hand on a new Blueprint parts CD,which i got yesterday, and was having a look to see what parts they now make for the IS200, and upper and lower ball joints are now available. Upper joints come as a complete wishbone and lower, as a joint that bolts on like the original. All blueprint parts come with a 2 year warranty, at last cheaper parts for our motors :D .
  19. Just sent an email to Haynes, lets hope it does some good :winky: .
  20. www.mytyres.co.uk list the Kumho 712, but sorry to say no test report ;) .They have reports on most other brands, but not the Kumho ;) .
  21. Sorry to say its the owners responsability ,as seen on recent TV ads, if selling a car to the motor trade ,you must fill out the Red part of the log book and sent it off to DVLA, then give the Green and Blueparts to the trader, could be better just to pay the fine .
  22. Keep the standard wheels, they show off painted calipers much better B) .
  23. Not many Lexus specialists to choice from but take a look at the place..... www.westfieldmotors.co.uk
  24. Is it possibe to get hold of "Lexus " workshop manuals on CD-Rom and maybe EPC to cover the IS200 range, i've see some on Ebay but they are USA one's and don't cover the IS200, your thoughts please, Bob :) .
