john it does sound like a tyre problem i had a similar experience on a omega i had a few years ago and it turned out to be a small bleb on the inside wall of my tyre, I wonder have you changed your tyres round front to back see if that alters it Robert

Hi All Well i have had the GS450 8 months now and done 5k miles with not a hiccup apart from a slight electrical smell in the boot when opened dealer said its normal and nothing wrong but it is disconcerting does anyone else have this. Just an aside i was in the multi car park in Doncaster and was going down the ramps to the exit when a bloke shouted at me " to switch engine on and dont freewheel down here you will lose brakes and steering just to save a bit of fuel You silly pill**k plus you will knock someone down" i just couldnt say anything but must admit it did sound eery coming down silently especially in the multi car park i dont usually go to the high levels but couldnt get in on lower levels. Undo the door switch then retighten it, it did it for me no more trouble since i think the switch must slightly corrode

Mine was like that a trip to dealer and he did it in about 10 min no charge needs to go on the computer HTH robert

Hi All I too am with LV and have been for 10 years or so my GS300 was 327 which ould have run out in Oct 3 2016 when i got the 450 se L in feb I asked if i need to pay more the said yes £25 so i thought ok this will be no more than 400 when renewal comes in oct For the last 3 or 4 years i have had a high quote i used to ring and they said ok we will give you discount i think they may have played me at my own game by giving extra large quote then saying they will give discount but i have paid the price they want me to pay i am now in my seventies so i bet they are putting a load on me i have never had a accident in the last 15 years. However as yesterday was a nice day i decided that the wife and I would have a day out at Bridlington East coast (and a lovely day it was too) As i live in south yorkshire its only a 60 mile trip on the way home on the A164 which is a notorious road for Motor cyclists there as been a few fatalities I had just left Middleton on the Wolds 40 limit and went up to 60 the road is straight for about 2 mile but undulating i saw Two HGV artics coming towards me and to my Horror a motor cyclist overtaking them I stamped on the pedal I dont think i have had a car that braked as good as this did must have been the Emergency brake system ( well done Lexus) i did hear tyres screech but i think it was car behind me and thought Ok back end shunt and motor bike on my Lap wife screaming " BOB he is going to hit us" he just managed to get in between lorry and me i think he must have thought there was only one Lorry or there was room between them but there was a car between so couldnt get in i think is god was with him and mine for that matter The second lorry flashed me twice as a thank you i would have thought I reviewed it at home from the dash cam And it was more horryfing Just thought i mention it Phew Robert

Hi just got my new quote for car a whopping £502 i am accident free gone up with a bang granted i am a senior citizen but as jumped over 100 as any one else noticed someone told me they were going up but wow over 500 it was higher than that 580 but i contacted them and they dropped it to 502 saying a good will gesture

will you not require a LED Flasher unit for the flashers as i tried it once on a OMEGA and the lights flashed as tho a bulb was blown if it doesnt i am changing mine to L:ED Robert

Driving down my street in my village when a BMW driving like a lunatic thought he could get between me and parked car on his side clipped my wing mirror with his my mirror and it closed i did think it had been ripped off I stopped but the boy racer was long gone I thought new wing mirror wanted but i closed mirror on pass side then pressed button again and they both opened was amazed must have some safety device but i thought how can that be if its gear operated does anyone know different Thanks

I had something similar on my last 55 plate gs300 i got the local Toyota dealership to do a drain and refill which by the way is the reccomended way they charged me £65 and it transformed it it was smooth before after i had run a couple of miles as it was hanging on to 3rd gear for a bit longer than normal and reving a bit higher but Toyota said it was normal but the drain /refill made it a lot better and i never noticed ever again. I only used Toyota as it is only a couple of miles from where i live all my other things servicing etc is done at Lexus Sheffield Robert

Hi All Would it be possible to wire the side lights to come on when ign turned on I like the concept of DLR but i dont like the garish Led clusters that some cars Have esp Audi. I wouldnt dream of fitting extra Light module as it would spoil the look of my 450. I did fit a LED bulb in the sidelight and it does light the reflector up well and is visible during day. I know i could switch just side lights on for normal running but knowing me i would end up with a flat battery. I am sure someone must have done it some where Thanks Robert

you shouldnt need to reset switch just inflate to correct pressure light will go out

Hi all Got my 450 serviced this week and took out the extended warranty 1095 I did this on the recommendations from the forum as i have Green flag included with my Insurance can i discontinue the green flag. However i saw no reference to breakdown cover in the documentation Could any one clear this up for me TIA Robert

Hi all Hope someone could shed some light on a problem I had Last week I pulled up into Tesco car park in front of a 15 reg Mercedes that had pulled in just before me the lady got out locked her car I got out got bags out of boot and locked mine but it didnt Lock i thought strange tried pressing door button still no joy I then got back in thinking something a miss but no so I tried starting it dash said Hold key to button to start, symptom of low fob battery but i changed battery in march, so car started and i moved it to another parking spot and all was ok never done it since Do mercedes have some key perimeter device because it must have been because i was parked near the car Hope someone could shed some light on it
