  1. Very informative thanks Q? have they addressed the fact that because of their internet connection they can be hacked AND more importantly fully controlled by the hacker leaving the driver helpless to do anything, they cant even stop the car or engine
  2. Love it However would prefer if you'd describe it as a GEARknob just to avoid confusion you know
  3. That's a lot of 'ishes' Stuart sorry couldn't help it
  4. Because in the T's&C's you're required to notify your insurer of every such incident & if you don't then should you have another incident which you need to claim for & they become aware of the 1st your claim will be rejected as you have broken the contract Also in the event you need to litigate you'll need your insurers backing + no solicitor will act for you if you don't notify them
  5. Welcome back :flowers: Hope all goes well for you from now on
  6. Utter drivel The model defines the factory fitted items but yes if you have ordered extras at the time of purchase then, in the event of a loss) if you want to be paid then you should tell your insurer as in most cases it will increase the value making it more expensive to insure
  7. I've purchased 4 tyre valve caps which need a special tool (supplied) to remove. They stop anyone trying to let your tyres down by releasing the valve
  8. Welcome Mark and no we don't hate you :megaangry: perish the thought (says he through gritted teeth) :msn-cry: Anyway welcome to the club & if you've never had a Lexus (paticularly an LS400) then you'll find the car quite awsome AND you'll wonder why you didn't do it much sooner
  9. Its a lovely car and I disagree with Rudd (sorry Rudd) but I think the seller is honest (eventhough a dealer). Re the colour being the most popular I agree it is. As for the price i'm sure that'll be negotiable but still worth near enough what is wanted. Less than 100,000, unmarked interior. 2 cambelt changes as per Lexus Service Manual next not due for ages. The only difficulty the seller might have is that' its on Gumtree & not fleabay a place where buyers tend to look when wanting a all the bells & whistles car Which is why I missed the bargain 1 owner low mileage LS400 beng sold on there for £500!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Strange, I saw three bids to about £160. Unsure how you judged the condition as there is little neg info and the seller says in good condition - one owner car 85k on clock. ? Very poor photo's. did you go and see it? No I didn't BUT it appears you were correct I phoned & spoke to very pleasant lady (I assume the wife) who told me that it had been in their family since new AND its just sailed through an MOT cos its been sold & the buyer is picking it up today......Dam another opportunity missed Note to oneself STOP looking a gift horse in the mouth
  11. Opening bid was £10! & none after that & it still didn't sell. I'm not surprised though as the LS is in an appalling condition so much so it makes you wanna weep
  12. I'm up for that........ incidentally what does being nice to him mean ???
  13. The Japanese still worship the Skyline. It has a real cult following in Japan
  14. Thought as much as he clearly didn't know what he had. How many owners has it had? (just being nosey & I won't try to nick it promise )
  15. And to think this beauty was advertized on Gumtree! not even fleabay but bleeding Gumtree of all places Once again do you know how long the idiot sorry seller had owned it?
