  1. I 'think' you need a master key to have another one made/programmed so it might be wise to do so. I only have two keys with mine. One three button and one two button.
  2. Exactly! See my rant here. Why are precautions not necessary in the UK? Talking to people about winter tyres here in the UK just raises arguments because it rarely snows here. They're not just for snow but how do you get that across?
  3. Ah yeah, I read that actually. I can't get along with the forum software on there and can't find my own posts back half the time.
  4. Not trying to take the ***** but on 'the mainland Europe' we think snow is when it gets above your numberplate not when there's 3cms on the ground....
  5. No need for grit on the roads. They just mucky your car! Get some winter tyres on the thing Chris.
  6. The lens does just pop off. Just be careful. Have a look here and you can see where the 'tabs' are. Can't do no fancy linky thingies from iPad so here you are http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?app=tutorials&article=202
  7. Is there no tablet you can squeeze into that? There's quite a bit of room behind the climate panel/radio for wiring and that
  8. I get the feeling I'm stuck with these 30.000 bags of space raiders then.....
  9. It'll be illuminated all the time (IGN ON) then. Better take a positive feed from the radio or seat buttons or anything that lights up with the headlight switch. There's a full set minus the wiring looms on eBay Matt in case you want a mint one. Then just sell the remote, remote holder and NAV ECU off afterwards. It's not BIN so might go cheap.
  10. As Matt said if you're looking for an easier option. Three wires to have the open/close and tilt function to work. Four if you want both buttons illuminated
  11. I once completed an on-site job and they wanted to pay me in stamps... (not on the floor, those sticky things)
  12. As said above, it's not a two minute job. I'm doing this during the summer and hopefully cramp it all in in one day. I'll probably never use it. It's more because it looks better than a plain tray.....
  13. Engines for these are only about 2 to 300 quid so not all is lost if he's knackered it up...
  14. I was going everywhere in the snow in my BMW 5-Series with winter tyres on. I expect the same with the IS200. Roll on tomorrow.
  15. I wish they made their mind up! It says light snow rather than heavy for tomorrow... I want snow!!
  16. Ad looks good. I'd stick a couple of pictures on with the current wheels. The boxes are sealed for life but only guaranteed to a certain mileage. Life doesn't mean the life of the car but whatever mileage or age the manufacturer sets.
  17. I don't get why this is not standard on the IS?
  18. I'd rub it in a little Matt...
  19. Sell me your Aero's for £125 and you can buy it Chris...
  20. £800 at dealer? You can buy an early IS for that....
  21. Cheers guys, Just Googled WIM and it's a 5.5 - 6 hour round trip (equals 2 new tyres and 90 quid in fuel) How long does it take to set this up as I'm driving down that way to catch a ferry to Holland later this summer?
  22. Seems both my rather new Pirelli tyres are scrubbing badly on the inside. Is this common?
  23. TRC OFF and lot's of fun I expect tomorrow
