  1. I think a lot of older cars look good compared to the new stuff that's coming out nowadays. I always had compliments on my 5-Series E39 which is 15 years old
  2. I'm not really into mods as such but I do like retrofitting stuff. It's rather limited on the IS200 but I have found the following I want IS300 Xenon headlights OEM NAV Change to full black leather from cream half leather including carpets etc etc. Done the fog to tail light thing last week. Not the fog to brake lights
  3. I think that looks really good indeed! Not too sure about the BMW M on a Lexus plate though...
  4. After buying the IS 3 weeks ago I think buying another car would not go down too well with Mrs Ray... Looking around for a new shape Celica though to replace her Gen6 Celica.. B)
  5. Cheers John, I'll do a proper sig pict when the weather improves. It's rather dark out there. I'm quite alright with the lack of power.. Maybe because I'm getting old. I don't think it's that underpowered but I only had it a few weeks. It's only a school run / Tesco car for the moment. I just wish people stop posting GS300 picts on here haha...
  6. Yeah, they're daft money. Just sold mine of the BM for £280 second hand. There £335 each new... We should all buy Fiats and all parts would be <10 each....
  7. Cheers Chris, I'll try and find him after Christmas and PM him. I need to get rid of these candles! Merry Christmas btw.
  8. Does anyone know the part numbers for UK (RHD) xenon headlamps. I'm trying to get some for my IS200 but need to make sure the cutoff is right. I don't really want to go for a HID kit in the standard headlamps as the light will be scattered all over and I don't want to be blinding oncoming traffic either.
  9. Cheers mate, As said pretty easy job. Would've been better if it wasn't so cold trying to solder wires together... Looked in the rear view mirror when I was parked outside the shop earlier (as you do)... and it looks good. I think I'll leave it like this. 4 brake lights is enough I think
  10. Yeah tail lights on all four, fogs on when fog switch on and brake lights just the two outers and 3rd brake light and spoiler light. Just skip the diode fitting bit. Just get a bulb holder with three wires. Two for the fog function and the third goes to the number plate positive to illuminate the tail light if that makes sense?
  11. ^^ Same here but kids love it! (Including me).... I'll be there depending on when we're on holidays as last year I missed out on 3 meets because we were sat in the sun abroad most of the time.. B)
  12. I had that on my Saab Convertible. They had to be divorced and married before they would work in another car.
  13. I checked the light in the spoiler and it does work. I can see some wires running with non OEM connectors so that could be the feed for it. I have not managed to sort the boot light problem as yet though... The mirror thing looks good so I'll be getting that done in the new year. Thanks for the guide. Much appreciated. :)
  14. Not too bad, I've not done the fog to brake but have done the fog to tail. Looking much better now B)
  15. Cheers Ian, I quite like it myself.
  16. I think it was an hour and a bit. Shaping the plugs took most of the time. If you get some proper plugs from a scrapper you can have this done in half an hour I'd say. You're a bit far away but you're welcome to pop round and I'll do yours...
  17. Done the fog to tail light thing today. The fog to brake I'll leave for a warmer day. Much better with four lights :)
  18. You're welcome. I'll take some better quality pictures next for the next guide.
  19. Cheers Jomo, I'll use a normal camera next time as the pictures are shocking. I've got the bulb holders (the ones that need shaving down) and the diodes already. I'm doing the tail to fog today and the brake to fog another time. When it's a bit warmer and dry most likely...
  20. Cheers mate, I'll have a go at the switch today as I'm doing the tail / fog light thing today so covers will be off anyway. My car has the spoiler with brake light fitted as standard. Not checked if it actually works though..... The mirror thing looks good. I'll get some bits in the new year. It says the mirrors open at IGN on. Can they open when the car gets unlocked too?
  21. Cheers Chris, I joined here and I quite like it although it seems very quiet.. Love that it runs on IPB as that's what I'm used to. Hopefully I will gain some knowledge of the IS200 from here and get it up to scratch or up to the level of my E39 knowledge. There'll not be many things happening to the IS until weather changes as I hate working in wet and cold. I might do the fog to brake aka skyline mod but then with fog to tail lights only or I'll end up with 6 brake lights... The 5 is looking a bit sorry for itself and I hope it'll be gone soon as I can't bare looking at it like this every day. I really loved this car!
