  1. Excellent. Glad it all worked out for you David. Not sure exactly when I will be able to collect them or have someone bring them over for me, but will be as soon as possible. As I mentioned, will be ordering my supercharger kit in the next couple of weeks hopefully, so will need to get that collected as well. I'll send an email to Simon once I know all the order numbers to make sure he puts them aside for collection. Cheers. Pete
  2. Hi Dan, Yes, should be able to choose that collection option when placing the order. Let me know if it's not clear when you complete it. Cheers Chaps.
  3. Welcome Andy! Once you get settled in with the car, let me know if you want any modification advice. Believe I'm still holding the most modified example in the UK if not Europe title, so chances are I've either fitted it, or heard of it! Plenty you can mod nowadays to improve what's already a pretty incredible car out of the box. Enjoy your honeymoon period, and hope to meet you at some point at an event or two. All the best, Pete
  4. Right Chaps, Coupon code you need is as follows: USRSUKDEAL Should give you the 13% discount, bringing theses in at $300 a set. Post up here once ordered so I can keep track. Any issues, let me know. Cheers. Pete
  5. I knew what you meant Dan. No worries. Touchscreen can be a royal PITA!
  6. You got it David. That way for anyone who doesn't know me, you have some comeback on the purchase etc. Can see how putting money into a strangers bank account could be a worry, so this way you are still buying from RR-Racing, and have that peace of mind etc. I'll ask Simon today for a code to be setup, confirm there is an option to say it will be collected (versus postal info), and agree a promotional period for the code to run (say 4 weeks for example). These really do work. Not had any issues whatsoever with uneven tyre wear on mine since I added the USRS. I personally don't find the ride any harsher, nor do I hear any extra noise from having them. Will be along later with the promo code etc. Cheers. Pete
  7. Welcome Dan. Right, may be easier to get you folks to ring/contact Simon directly to get these paid for? I can then arrange collection, and bring them back to the UK. I'd then get them individually wrapped, and take them to my local Post Office for recorded delivery to each of you. I won't know costs until I get there, so will pay them for you guys, and send you the tracking numbers and costs afterwards. I'm hoping to bite the bullet and order my supercharger kit shortly, may have Simon hide these in the boxes, easier that way. If not, I'll check when my friends from New Jersey are over next. Maybe they'd be kind enough to 'mule' them over! If I ask Simon for a discount code, you just enter that on the website. Delivery details can be along the lines of 'Peter Payne will collect'. Let me know guys. Cheers. Pete
  8. Nice! Man after my own heart. What are you getting done in carbon? Got a fair bit of it on my car, and love the stuff! Saw your post on the USRS, will be chasing up on that thread shortly. Welcome aboard! Cheers. Pete
  9. Hi Josh, I'd personally save or borrow an extra £4-5k and get a newer model with the revisions, and lower mileage. It's not that an 08 (my car) with high miles is a risk, but better to buy a younger car if you can I think. I'd contemplated buying a newer model myself, and swap all my mods over, but not worth the hassle. Servicing is important. Not so much whether it's all been done by Lexus, but more it's had annual services and recall work done. If it's an 08, should have at least 9/10 services in the history. A lot of people misunderstand the every 10k/per annum, and think I've not done 10k yet, will keep driving for another year etc. Best of luck with your search though. Cracking motors! Cheers. Pete
  10. Indeed Paul. You're looking at around £6-8k by the time you buy it, pay import duties, shipping, taxes etc. Not cheap!
  11. Guess it depends on what you are ultimately trying to achieve with the car? If it's purely cosmetic, I'd keep an eye on the US forum parts for sale section. Lots of folks upgrading to coilovers, so you can snap up their old lowering springs? I'd go with coilovers personally, just because the ride was awful in my view on the OEM suspension setup. Looking at the RR-Racing or KW setup instead. The BC's were a huge improvement for me in terms of ride comfort. Actually softer than the OEM setup!
  12. Nice. Only ask as I have mine set at 40 PSI all round running on Nitrogen as opposed to air (more consistent and less prone to temperature fluctuations). I've been really pleased with these settings with all manner of driving conditions (fast road, wet, dry, icy etc). Glad to see you were driving it as it was intended to be driven! Well done.
  13. Look better in person/on the car I reckon. His demo car was parked up next to mine a few years back for Jap Show Finale at Santa Pod. He went over the top for show purposes, but you could see they were done properly. Will be doing mine whenever I get a chance to have it off the road for a week or two (not happened yet!). Do post up photos if you do get it done Bob, think Pedro's work will impress.
  14. Hi Bob, Not many body kits I am aware of at the moment over here mate, there was a TOMS kit for sale a little while back, but not sure where it went?! Was for sale on eBay for a while, but don't know if anyone ended up with it on here?? I have a lot of aftermarket body parts on my car. Wald carbon boot spoiler, carbon roof spoiler, carbon diffuser, vented carbon bonnet, carbon front splitters on each corner (cheaper than a full front lip spoiler, I bought two sets as the ones on my car at the moment are trashed already! Thanks speed bumps!! ). Plus Novel fender ducts and mirror extensions and carbon pillar trim. The guy who bought the TOM's kit did so from Josh at Meraki in California. You pay a fair whack for shipping and import tax/duty etc, but it's all possible if your pockets are deep enough! Lol. Also depends on what you are looking for? Anything in carbon will be more expensive than fibreglass or plastic (you know this I'm sure - not being rude), but brand value has a big part in the cost as well. Novel is mega money, TOM's isn't cheap either, but given the extreme likelihood of scratches and scuffs, I'd stay away from any of those personally. Better off getting something cheap and cheerful, that way if you do obliterate it, you don't get as upset, and can always buy a spare (like I did! Lol). Cheers. Pete
  15. Looking good Lee. What tyre pressures did you run with out of interest?
  16. Thanks Chaps. David, my Wife uses PayPal I think, but would be a lot easier to get everyone to transfer the cash into my bank account, that way I can simply give Simon my card details (pretty sure he knows them already! Lol), and we're in business. I'd probably do a flat £20 on top for shipping costs? That way it covers any additional packaging/courier costs I need to pay for you guys. My trip to San Diego was cancelled late on Friday due to the Hurricanes, so might be able to get this ordered this week if we can get on the same page...... Just need to hear from the others first. Cheers. Pete
  17. Morning Chaps, So I'm guessing no more than £20 for UK P&P? If it was, won't be much more surely?! Payment is the trickier part. Obviously I'm not looking to eat any costs on these, so getting the ROE locked in is quite important. I'd need to get everyone's money banked and have Simon take the card payment all on the same day.... Can't see why that would be a major problem, but it's the only hurdle with the pound being so rubbish lately! I'm heading out again tomorrow morning to San Diego, but can't get them organised that short notice. Shouldn't be that long before I head out again, although suggest we order beforehand, and I'll collect them from one of my buddies houses.... just easier than hoping they arrive before I head home. Anyway, let me know guys and we'll set this up. Cheers. Pete
  18. Possibly? Drop him an email chap. Worst he can say is no?!
  19. Hi Bob, Sure, drop Pedro an email. It's pedro137@hotmail.co.uk He's over in St Neots, so you'd probably be best off dropping them off with him? Ask him to send you some photos of the work he's done on other headlights including his own. Cheers. Pete
  20. No, considered it a few times, but the loss of the adaptive headlight functionality, and dash warning light put me off. Some say you can pull a fuse or relay to cancel the dash warning light, but you also lose adaptive cruise control, as it shares the same relay or something.... Ive met a good light guy a couple years back at Japshow, Santa Pod called Pedro. He can re-do your lights with LED strips, angel eyes etc for £300 all in. Hoping to get mine done at some point, but been busy in other things thus far. If I do get them re-done, will post some pictures up.
  21. Morning Chaps. So heard back from Simon at RR-Racing. He can do these at $300 a set, which is a 13% discount on the normal price. Basically $50 off each set. I'd need to add postage and packaging costs to send this out to each of you once I bring them back from the States as well. Let me know if you're all still interested, and we can get things moving. Cheers for now. Pete
  22. Funny thing is they don't object or refuse to service my car every year?! Far from it. Love the folks at Lexus Canterbury. Just suddenly dawned on me they are fine with servicing a modified car, just not honouring their warranties! Hope none of you are using non-Lexus cleaning products?!?!
  23. Tricky one. I'm not cursed with the whole warranty issue thankfully. I'd agree with others that they'd struggle to deny a warranty claim for say your gearbox based on having aftermarket bushes fitted, but it's a personal choice at the end of the day. If we get 5 people interested, I'll speak to Simon and Rafi, if not, no drama. Cheers. Pete
  24. Umm, no, not stock! Lol. Think most people guessed that though!
  25. Reminds me, must do some new videos of mine now I have the PPE headers and tuned intake/remap from RR-Racing installed. Don't think you can really beat it in terms of the sound etc. I'll try and get something recorded soon!
