  1. Sorry to hear about this accident. Your car is likely to be registered as a cat D which will affect its value when it comes to selling it.
  2. Make sure you get your headlights converted or get them stickers on the lights! Oh yeah, dont forget ya drink level tester for how much you've had to drink, last time I checked it was mandatory.
  3. Eww... BMW heated seats. I had a 2012 320D 3 series M-Sport with red leathers. The leathers were excellent but the heated seat was waaayyyyy to hot and there was no adjustment of temperature which meant you could only keep it heated for about 60-120 seconds.
  4. It does depend on the way you drive the car. Heres an example, my Toyota Auris (sold yesterday :() 1.3 engine has official lab tested 48 MPG, by the manufacures. However I would get 63 MPG (brim to brim figures) and the computer would show 55 MPG at about 70 MPH on motorway. I'm not entirely sure how I was getting that excellent fuel economy from such a car. I also dont drive slowly, I like to push it to its limits. Either it depends on the driver and how you drive it or the cars one of a kind.
  5. Also if they are driving the car up and down, (your location Moray and the Lexus dealership is in Edinborough?) it is rougly 180 miles away, 3hr+ journey... You should ask for a tow truck to put in on the truck it because personally I would hate for some donut to drive my car on the motorway putting on so many miles for something which is NOT your fault. Not even that, the type of car you have, you would want it to have as low miles as possible, ask for a truck.
  6. Insurance is really messed up. If I put my old houses address (C.London) my insurance comes to £9k... (YES 9K!) and if I put it in my current address it comes up as £325....... I mean seriously insurance!!!!
  7. Nice im a air cadet RAF, perfection is what you need (especially with the shiny boots lol)
  8. I dont really get these main dealers. Guessing Lexus will have similar/same servicing procedures as Toyota they really do mug you. If you read, at all intermediate servicing they are 90% inspections. What really gets me is that the inspections are really stupid if your paying about £200+. They check the basics, windscreen washer, wipers, oil level, coolant level, check light bulbs, look for warning lights on dash (not that anyone cant see that anyway) and reset the service light. Thats really going to preserve your engine isent it, only the oil check and coolant check would be enough but they add in all that extra rubbish like checking tires to make you feel that your moneys worth it. Even with full service they dont change all the parts, they only change parts if they need replacing and lets face it, these dealers will find everyway to fob you off, if the sparks need changing, they will say ''oh no their just fine, can easy do another 10k miles''. Rip off, they got everyone by the goolies if you have warranty on your car. And now, some people pay £600 for services, LOL, i mean come on, unless you got money to splash about (should look at something like a Rolls Royce or a Bentley in that case) I'd call that a rip off.
  9. My mistake, I read your post as meaning the dealer had been honest on autotrader, but not on their own site. Which brings me to another point. Are traders legally bound to declare cat C, and/or, cat D when advertising? I thought they were obliged to do so, but on googling the subject, found conflicting opinions. Anybody know for sure? Incidentally, any dealer not declaring a recorded car, would be off my shopping list straight away. i am dealer. All dealers MUST declare CAT C & D. Private sellers don't have too.
  10. I will be purchasing a car with full Lexus history and servicing only from Lexus.
  11. Would never turn away from a Lexus I just want some peace of mind that the car overall is as good as it seems and reliable.
  12. Matey I think that company you used has fryed your car electrics as they jump started it... Hybrids should NEVER be jump started, sorry to say but I don't think you will be getting anywhere soon.
  13. Hi I am looking to buy a CT200h and have done alot of research. Lots of reviews say it is really reliable but I wanted to ask the users of the car my self. I will be purchasing the car without warranty and I am looking for a car with about 20-25k mileage max. It will be a 2011-2012 model and I wanted to know have you needed to use the warranty on the car? If so, for what things because I won't have any warranty. Thanks!
  14. Right guys, I posted this in a topic not long ago, he had a black coloured LS400 for sale and people were 'comparing' it to my one. He buys his cars from a auction where I get my cars from. I checked the price of that lexus with similar ones and they were selling for MORE than the price that he was selling it for on Ebay. I know he gets them from that specific auction because he had 'accidently' left one of the stickers on another car had for sale. There was obviously something wrong with the car he was selling, too cheap. Stay away from him, doesent look good.
  15. Hi, Im looking to buy a CT200h soon and wanted to ask a question. Do all the CT200h's have Day time running lights or certain models? I don't know what year I am going to get, maybe 2011 or 2012 just looking for a good one. Also does it come with certain spec?? Thanks
  16. I hope he doesent come back, all he does is look down on the Japs and promote the unreliable Germans.
  17. Hmmm... Ive just been checking his website and on one of his cars he still has left a auction sticker on the car, not the Lexus another car of his (tiny little barcode under mirror, hard to see unless zoomed). I am a dealer my self, buying and selling cars is what I do (and no, my LS400 for sale is not a trade sale, its my own personal car). I know what auction that cars come from and the prices for that car in the Auction are roughly £2,119 for that type of car with that sort of mileage. Im sure someone wouldent be willing to pay the full amount anyway, they would knock about £200 of asking price, which means he will sell the car for about £2300. He would only be making little over £150 if he's lucky, which is not worth the hassle of getting the car to location, fixing odd jobs here and there. I'd look closely on this car, there must be something dodgy about it, its too good to be true. I'm in this business and know the tricks these traders play. That cars worth well over 3k, low mileage and its in good condition.
