  3. Yeah my uncles RX does this aswell and now no warm air blows from the centre vents. Looking to take it to a Lexus Indy next week, will let you know how we get on.
  4. Wowzaa, PS3s eh on an IS200! We need to get you that V8 so you can use that rubber for real!
  5. I used one from a fiat stilo, looks almost oem and at £10 was a few hundred cheaper than a lexus one. So lexus supply one as a direct fit? Yeah we had a group buy on them years ago! :winky: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=43067&st=0&p=448741&hl=armrest&fromsearch=1entry448741

  7. So they will change your ignition barrel and boot lock aswell?
  8. Have you tried posting on that thread? Failing that an Auto electrician may quickly be able to advise
  9. It's better than the one in the IS (if you meant the mk1 IS) Lol sorry, I'm a bit V8 crazy at the mo Yeah I wonder if I'd notice the difference over the ML system? lol, just DO IT!!
  10. Damn just £5 for a wash?! I've paid the eastern europeans more than that in the past Any idea what their detailing prices are like? Sounds like a plan for the next I'm down at Ace, drop the car in next door and pick it up a bit later :winky: lol, yeah he's looking to review the pricing at some point due to the costs of the products he's using are far above his competitors. He even snowfoams the car aswell! Re detailing, he's only just started up and as with detailing it really depends on the condition of your exiting paintwork and amount of correction needed. Yeah take it down next time and speak to either Afif or Raj and say Purvesh from Evotechnik referred you. They'll sort you out as there looking for the word to spread first. :winky:
  11. Yeah it's annoying isn't it! If the extra fuel isn't a big issue then I'd look at the GS430 - I found the GS300 quite underwhelming to drive, while the 430 felt lovely plus I found the adaptive suspension on the 430 worked better than the standard one in the 300. Plus the 430 has a better spec (includes adaptive cruise) and is such a bargain nowadays with the way fuel prices are. I see, cheers for that, will have a look around. It says it has a 10-speaker system, I wonder if it's any different from what we have in the IS? PS talking to you too much is hurting my wallet!
  12. Awesome pics, have to go to Salon Privé at some point! Where are these guys? They're proper detailers that have a car wash place? Right here buddy: http://87.194.35.237/showthread.php?t=33975&highlight=rainbow It's right before Ace Cafe! You take the exit for Park Royal off the A406 if your heading towards Hangerlane (as if your going to Ealing Road the back way lol). No they started as a 'proper' car wash that have now expanded to offer detailing at a very reasonable price. Like I said the car wash costs are the same as other places but these guys just go above and beyond those places in terms of cleaning method and products! B)
  13. Ah cheers mate, yes that makes sense! No Mark Levinson... why can't they make it fully loaded limited edition! lol
  14. I've run a few different tyres on mine, as you probably know, back in the day Bridgestone Potenza and Dunlop SP9000 were supplied from factory. The Bridgestones were pricey though. I was quite pleased with my cheaper Toyo T1s when I upgraded to 18" wheels. Buy from www.camskill.co.uk cheap as chips and all different brands on there.
  15. Ah good news on the rear view mirror front :) Yeah all the IS mirrors should be the same, you should be able to find a silver one through 24/7 spares. They should all be heated, I'd say just buy the mirror and transfer the silver backing cover and glass to the current mirror. That way it would save you having to take the door card off etc. I'd say go for option one and DIY fit the locks (not that difficult) and just have the dealership program it for you, you have both keys aswell. This will then be like OEM. OR you can delock the car like Ormi mentioned in post #5 where by you can change the drivers door handle for one without a lock, that way they can't access the car unless they break the window but even then they won't be able to start the car.
  16. Does the side mirror still folding in and out electrically ok? If it does then you can just buy the back cover and glass mirror (they both clip on). Re the rear view mirror itself it seems fine, nothing is missing. What may be the problem is the round attachment fitted to the windscreen. Sometimes the grooves on those get worn (can you focus on it and get a clearer picture please, it's blurred and so I can't tell you definitively) and so the mirrors don't fit back tightly. Offer up the mirror 45degrees anticlockwise and while it's up against the glass turn the mirror clockwise, it should then lock onto the windscreen. Re the locks you've got a couple of options as suggested, delocking or those keys of eBay...
  17. Post up a couple of pics of the 'broken' areas and maybe we can better advise.. Glad to have her back?
  18. My mate over at 'Over the Rainbow' Carwash and detailing just washed it ready for a show: (Check out some of the other cars...I wish there was a drool pic lol) http://87.194.35.237/showthread.php?t=36146 See pics around 2/3rds of the way down... B) If you guys are around the Hangerlane area, there is no better carwash in the area for the same Eastern European prices!! They use all top end products inc Autoglym and the two bucket method only.. you can't ask much more than that :winky:
  19. What's the difference between these models please? Can't seem to find the information I'm looking for...
  20. Welcome to LOC, enjoy the car :winky:

  22. Not sure if this is of any help? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEXUS-250-220D-IS250-IS220D-REAR-DOOR-BREAKING-PARTS-/220796021658?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item336877eb9a
  23. You are right, but I found it's a bit hit and miss. Mine was a 2001 model and I used various branded cd's without any issues. I'd say stick to branded cds, it's something to do with the varying thicknesses that makes them jam. Not sure on the wiring front I'm afraid.
