These last couple of weeks or so, if I put my heater onto the hottest, my windscreen and side windows steam up almost immediately, and the humidity inside the car increases dramatically, to the point where you can "smell" the damp air. Even if I put the aircon on to dry the air out, it takes ages to clear. Im wondering if I have some water or something inside the car somewhere. Am I right to assume that the heater matrix sits inside a box behind the dash somewhere? Could water have somehow sneeked in and a blocked drain or something is keeping it there? Is this common fault. Also, I suffer a noticable amount of power when the air-con is switched on. could this be linked to the misting problem? a similar thing happened in my old XR2i when the heater matrix developed a tiny hole in it half way up the M1. The windows steamed up big time and I couldnt clear them. I hope the same thing isn't happening here ! :duh:

flippin eck lads, I aint daft. I was stringing him along. His phone he gave was in Mannila ! I tracked down a website of a Barrister called richard jim, and sent copies to him. He emailed me let me know he was well peeved. I knew it was a scam lads, and he made a mistake as Shell Development are one of my customers !! sadly, someone somewhere will probably fall for it !!

I agree, its a show car. All bling no boom. It can talk the talk, but can it walk the walk ! I prefer a "street sleeper" - looks bog standard apart from maybe wheels and a zorst.

Its more than likely that I will end up with roll bars, strut brace and everything else. More bloody money

Yeah, it was that one off Ebay. I reasise the engine had been ceased, and the block is a bit rusty, but head will only prob need a skim, which anyone would do anyway, I think there will be enough stuff that is OK for me to play with. Afterall, 75 nicker is a good risk in my books :)

Not too sure yet, it will prob just sit in my garage for a while till I figure it out. I want to study the head and fuel system a bit more and maybe get my mate to have a look. Ive challenged myself to extract as much power from the engine as is humanly possible without the addition of a charger, turbo, or Noz. I dont care what any development company tells me, I like to go against the grain and try new things myself. With this engine, I can mess about to my hearts content and I aint damaging my good one. Im mainly interested in doing something with the throttle body and the mechanics behind the fuel delivery system. We shall see. I can also for now polish up the top cover and transplant it ready for JAE ! Bling Bling.

Oh No, Ive been spending money again, I need help Ive just bought a complete IS200 engine for £75 Gonna do some R&D now in my little potting shed

Im thinking of fitting a strut brace, but I have concerns about possible fouling against my Trust Induction Kit. Has anyone fitted a brace with an induction kit in place. I dont want to start grinding bits of the bar away as this effectively reduces its strength (and looks).

The pics are great, it looks super duper chaps. I like that strut brace very much, where did you get it? Are you planning on putting the car on some sort of stand at JAE, maybe putting just one side of the car on some ramps or something, make it into a feature, and put some strobes under it in time to some really good music, that'll draw the crowds in! :) Ive got a strobe :)

The guy does alot of them. It takes him a full day to map the unit on a rolling road. My brother knows him very well through his business (BMW/Hartge) and he says he is very thorough. He does do alot of racing cars, which gives me confidence straight away.

Ive got a HKS Hiper and a Trust Ind Kit, Im hoping the chip makes the difference. Its costing me £450 incl VAT and Fitting. The process will take him near on a full day as he programmes it on a rolling road.

Have you got sorted yet Matt? my mates unit is full now so he cant help you. I can give you some secure storage space at my business premises if you like, but it is outside. It is in a secure locked compound, and very safe. Our employees soometimes leave cars in there when they go aborad to work. It would be OK in there, and you can put a car cover over it. Just leave me with the keys and I will start her up now and again just to keep the blood circulating through her veins. :)

Its still not bad though. At least its not a Daewoo Kalos, with a 3 second entry time ! :P They must have left it open or gave the thief a key or something :)
