  1. For someone who knows next to nothing about cars, what are these and what do they do?
  2. I've had the BLT with well done bacon in a Brioche bun and that was lovely.
  3. Btw. There's a detailer in Nuneaton, who will detail and ceramic coat your car for £350. @Twellsie and myself have used him and he's top notch. 3 days of work and the car comes back stunning. Pm me or @Twellsie if you want more details. It's a piece of cake to clean once done.
  4. After deciding to invest in a cheap pressure washer, snow lance and car washing stuff, I washed my car for the first time in about 20 yrs. Last time I did it I had a Punto and used washing up liquid in the water.
  5. I popped in there today for coffee and a BLT as I had a meeting in Banbury. I can see it getting absolutely rammed at weekends as it's not very big inside. I know following them on instagram that parking has been a problem.
  6. I'm up for this. Not too far from me. About time I saw another ISF.
  7. Just had mine detailed and ceramic coated by a great guy in Nuneaton.
  8. This a great read about the isf engine. https://blog.lexus.co.uk/a-closer-look-at-the-lexus-is-fs-v8/
  9. Interesting question and one I weighed up heavily when I bought mine in August. I had a Mondeo st diesel, which did about 40mpg in the city. Desperately dull, never felt the urge to just get in it and just drive. For an extra £30 a month tax, I can drive something that makes me smile every time I start it. My fuel cost has doubled from about £80 a month to about £160. As for resale, I've been watching the prices on this forum since about 2014, and I'd say they've stabilised. You could probably buy one and pretty much get your money back a year later. I would say that the Lexus ISF is probably the most reliable V8 around. No rod bearing issues to deal with, no carbon build up to worry about, no head bolt issues. About the worst thing you may have to deal with is a water pump leak, which would have probably been addressed if you're looking at an 08 plate. V8s are a dying breed, I'd advise you to scratch the itch whilst they're still around and relatively affordable.
  10. I did see someone post a tutorial of doing it themselves. Iirc they looked great.
  11. Popped in and it's ordered to arrive for Friday. £15. So not too painful.
  12. No the Birmingham one. I used to work in Whitley for JLR, so would have been close to your one too.
  13. I'm having some spray work done next week as well, so I need to get one asap.
  14. I can't take his reviews...although I can stand Doug which is odd. I still watch some of Harry Metcalfe's video's and recently I've been watching the carguys (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCs73OB7y7xFhktZ8JU4TDCg) who have some great classic cars as well as new ones.
  15. Fortunately the Lexus dealer who I introduced myself to last week, is 5 mins from where I work, so I'll pop in tomorrow.
  16. Somehow I'm missing the front plastic tow hook cover. I'm presuming it somehow fell off, as I can't see the point of anyone nicking a USB one. Are they easy to get hold of in the correct colour?
  17. A new convertible concept will be unveiled next week at the Detroit motor show. https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/105674/new-2019-lexus-lc-convertible-previewed-with-detroit-concept-pictures
  18. Think they use Pristine wheels in Milton Keynes, who also sell sets on Ebay. They do match the colour correctly. http://pristinealloywheels.co.uk/
  19. Only reason I ask is because the sound is normally the first thing I sort out in a car is the sound. I have an alpine amp and subwoofer sat in my garage at the moment unused because the sound is pretty good. I've seen a few complaints though, so the upgrade could be key to the different perception of the system. Great! So mine is usb, has DAB, lsd and white seats. January 2010 Minor changes for vehicles factory built from August 2009 • New Torsen limited slip differential (LSD) replaces standard LSD • Mark Levinson multimedia system upgraded to include: o Hard Disk Drive (HDD) based satellite navigation system o DAB radio o USB input o Improved speakers • Revised steering wheel • Added folding rear outer head rests • Revised sunroof controls • Revised combination meter • Air conditioning automatic air direction revised to improve anti-fog performance • Additional Ultra Blue metallic finish • On the road price: £ 55,995 Additional options • White leather upholstery (no cost option) • 19” mesh-design alloy wheels (no cost option Improved speakers? That's interesting. What was improved?
