Is the MMS unreliable across all model years, or just earlier cars?

I'd be more interested in the functionality updates and bug fixes. Although it's surprising how many junctions and roads change when you drive with maps a few years out of date.

So, is there a way to get updates for the HDD version without going direct to Lexus? I believe from some digging around these are installed from a USB memory stick?

Why do people take out the extended warranties when these cars are known to be mostly bullet proof? I assume servicing is additional to this cost too?

They appear to be correct. When I look the eurocarparts part no is 10182102A - same price as the ones you've linked to. They seem to be doing really good deals on Brembo stuff at the moment. Have ordered other Brembo pads recently from them and can confirm they're legit.

Where are those prices from? Lexus direct?

Just got a full set of discs and pads for my 350Z (also Brembo) and it cost £280ish. From EuroCarParts. Looked out of interest for the IS-F, and you can get a full set for £349. That's for proper OEM Brembos. There are various 10% discount codes floating around which would make that £315ish... Why are people spending so much? I appreciate that's not fitted price, but it's something most could do themselves. An independent would charge around £100(??) maybe to fit. Have I just landed on a good deal here? Surely someone would have spotted this before. If anyone knows the part numbers, check it out and make sure they're correct.

Although technically a very good car, the Golf R just seems to lack character and soul. There were / are some blinding lease deals about if that's up your street. I was a signature away from a 2 year deal for sub £7000 all in for a DSG Golf R. A new mortgage got in the way of that one!

Just from the passenger seat it was obvious how much better the revised dampers are compared with the originals. Far more compliant and less crashy, especially over the rear. I think Japan forgets how bad the rest of the worlds roads are!

While it's up on the jacks, check the prop/half shafts are clear of debris. Could be something silly like a plastic bag become entangled around something.

I picked up a cheapo reader from eBay. Been working great with android for a couple years.

I think Japanese paint in general is soft. Currently drive a Nissan 350Z, they're really susceptible to chips too, with similar "soft paint" comments on the club forums. Thanks for the quick responses so far

Hi all, been following the forum with interest for a while now. My dad has had a couple ISF's - a black '08 which he traded in for a silver '11. He's still got the 2011 car and I was thinking about making him an offer in the coming months for it. He's had it from new and so would be an ideal purchase, knowing the car's exact history. Missed out on his first one, as I was only in my early 20s when he sold it! I think it's done around 15,000 miles. What do you all think it's worth? And what will the depreciation be like. For me it would be my daily drive, covering around 8,000 miles a year. Out of interest, his first car's reg was FN58 TGJ. Does anyone on the forums own or know it? Sorry if that's a bit off topic...
