  1. Both my front seats have an ever so slight rock to them if you move your body weight about, in a certain direction. It's barely audible and very slight. I tend to notice as I get in or out the car. I've taken a look at the bolt between the floor and rails and it's fine. Appears to be the mechanism/rails to the seat that have a slight amount of play. Question is, is that normal? Has anyone else noticed it?
  2. Great service at Coventry. But as I work 5 mins walk away, I never need a courtesy car. I might see what they have to offer next time and go for a lunch time drive!
  3. Unfortunately, yet another meet I can't attend. I'll be away for my birthday :( I have been to cosford before, with the 350Z club. They arranged a free tour around the museum which was brilliant! See if you can do the same once you have numbers confirmed. We had the navigator of one of the cold war nuke bombers tour us round, fascinating.
  4. Seeing as I live in Coventry, I'll be there. Also joined up to the FB group...
  5. I can get mine in. But does depend on the house. Newer builds can have narrower garages. I tend not to bother putting mine away due to it being a bit of a squeeze.
  6. I'm still interested. Thanks. Let us know what you think it will be landed.
  7. Wish I could make this. I was busy last time too! Next time.... maybe
  8. Mr Big Rat, please put my name down. Due some new tyres in the next few months and would like a set fitted to protect them. Also hear really good things about handling and feel with them on. I showed interest in the previous group buy but nothing came of it:
  9. Would not recommend buying from Junction 17. Heard lots of people disliking them for one reason or another. I looked at a couple of 350Z's at this very garage. All over priced, cars were tarted up to seem better than they were, and the salesmen were very very pushy. Not entertaining I'd need time to think about figures, and wanting me to buy there and then. Also gave shockingly low trade in value. Steer clear.
  10. Some of my silver one earlier this year up Scotland: Take a look through that post for various colours in different lights. I think blue/red stands out. But I like that my silver blends in. Goes with the feel of the car.
  11. Yep, to confirm, no loss of main beam when swapping the separate side lights out. And also no errors or warning lights.
  12. Nice write up from a new GS-F owner, previous IS-F owner. A member on here I would have thought? https://www.pistonheads.com/regulars/ph-carpool/lexus-gs-f-ph-carpool/36473
  13. Don't forget the revised rear suspension setup. I have 11 plate. But it doesn't have all these features. I'm missing the center rev counter and LED running lights. But do have better audio, with bluetooth streaming etc. Seems there was a cross over at some point, so don't assume by the plate it's got everything you might be looking for.
  14. G60, tuned to approx. 240bhp. 350s/370 were probably on a par in the twisties, but they didn't stand a chance on the straights, and couldn't brake as late. I didn't think the IS-F would be as good in the corners, but I was really surprised. So much grip and gave me lots of confidence.
  15. Just finished my second tour of Scotland, incorporating the NC500, plus much more. Totaled 1,915 miles in a week. First time up there in the Lexus and it was great. Loved every minute... Well except when I was stuck behind camper vans!
  16. There are 2 covers on the back of the lamp unit, each side. The side lights are behind the inner covers (if i remember correctly). There is a metal wire, that you need to lever over and out the way, to release the sealed cap.
  17. See my recent thread here for some more info on LED swaps.
  18. I was offered more than the gold membership discount just by asking. Didn't have to haggle, or ask around and play off other dealerships.
  19. Just had mine in for a full service at Coventry this week. Willing to negotiate and tailor the service to suit. Even booked me in for the next day. Unfortunately I had to take it back the following day. The brakes felt awful! They had left lots of air in the brake system, and so manually bled them the old fashioned way (instead of via a machine). Very pleased with how everything was handled though and will continue to use them in the future.
  20. Was voice an added extra on the RC-F? Couldnt get it to work when I tried it. IS-F has always worked fine. Its mostly for navigation though. With one or two climate/radio control options. Mostly easier to use the dedicated buttons!
  21. Yep, tried it out on my dads RC-F. Hardest setting is a bit too harsh for UK roads. Skips over little bumps too much. More of a track setting really IMHO.
  22. 17MY update https://lexusenthusiast.com/2016/12/15/2017-lexus-rc-f-gs-f-updated-with-adaptive-variable-suspension/
  23. Thanks David! It was very satisfying, you're right! Can't say it wasn't a little daunting though. However for jobs like this, they are designed so that any technician can perform them. Only removed a few pop clips up top, 3 or 4 clips at the front of the wheel arch and half a dozen or so on the under tray. It looks more invasive and serious than it actually is. Once you've done one job, it will give you great confidence to do more in the future.
  24. More updates! I've now changed the reverse lights with a pair of LED Osrams (W16W). Should provide better light for reversing the the dark! Sorry, but couldn't get a photo of these, for obvious reasons. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192182316591 I've changed front and rear indicator bulbs with amber LED Osrams (W21W). http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352022351313 Because LED bulbs draw so little current, the car will think you have a blown bulb when these are fitted and "hyperflash". To fix this a lot of people fit big resistors in line to the bulb. Instead I got a proper LED compatible flasher relay. Best I found was from Amazon (I even got a spare, just in case). https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01KLIYUPQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Rear bulbs took all of 5 minutes to fit. However, I didn't realise the fronts were a bumper off job! Took me around an hour to remove and refit with new bulbs. VIDEO0034.mp4 <== VIDEO OF INDICATORS HERE At the same time the bumper was off I took the chance to change my fog lights. Fitted a pair of Osram Fog Breakers, imported from Germany. I'm super pleased with the yellow JDM look, like the old IS300. Photo's dont really show how yellow they are. They look much better in person. For some reason the inside of my fog light housings were all grubby, so they got a clean before I reassembled everything too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302105403029
  25. ... Ordered my Takeda from the states this week . I spent many many hours reading everything people had to say about them. Ultimately I want a little more sound, with no power loss. I couldn't find anything that proved there was power loss. I accept there may be a minor heat soak issue. But dont see that affecting me for the vast majority of the time. Thanks for the heads up on the AFR. I will be monitoring intake temps and ratios via the OBD2.
