  1. Hello everyone. I'm now officially the proud owner of a 2011 IS-F, silver of course 2011 plate, a tad over 19,000 miles and totally stock. It's got the optional wheels on which I love! Terrible weather today, so not had much chance to enjoy it yet. Roll on the summer!!
  2. My 350Z is still for sale if you're interested Big Rat! http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/350z/nissan-350z-gt-3-5-v6-hr-313/6731961
  3. I was asking a Lexus dealership recently why they don't sell the RC 350. Like they have in the states. He couldn't understand it either, and thought they would shift loads if we had them over here. Seems the ideal step between the 4 cylinder models and the RC-F. Especially for a sporty looking coupe.
  4. Silver (yes another one) on an 11 plate. Covered less than 20,000 miles though!
  5. I have indeed! It's not for sale anywhere though so cant give you a link. I'm buying from family. They've owned it from new.
  6. Anyone have experience on how it works? On my policy it states a value (on the section I can send away for agreed valuation) - But that's not something I gave them. I believe it should be more. However, how do they value it? Against trade prices, private or trade in (book price).
  7. I've put myself down as a maybe for the meet. Depending on if I get my car by then. That'll be another silver on the list!
  8. Voted - Put me down as a maybe, depending on if I have my car by then. Happy to travel anywhere suggested. Most are within an hour of me.
  9. Is it possible to make a few and reduce costs? A group buy maybe?
  10. And I'm glad I did Marcus. Just took out a tracker free policy, for less than my Direct line quote! £430. Very surprised! Only called for a quote, didn't expect to take out a policy with them :) I was impressed with the questions they asked. They were asking about my current car I'm swapping from (350Z), how big the engine was, the BHP, etc. Did indeed seem to tailor it for me. £64 for an agreed valuation by the way - Can add that at a later date if I want. What do people think? Worth it? Big thanks for the help guys!
  11. Alufibre. I'd have to have the rear matching the center console. Shame they have to make it hard plastic to start with. All down to legislation and making sure not one mistakes it for a seat.
  12. Adrian Flux is a good shout. I'll give them a call and see what they say. Agreed valuation would be a nice addition!
  13. Lexus wanted to fit a top of the range tracker that was 3x the price. Which makes sense. They're only going to recommend the best! I'm 29. So SAGA wouldn't be an option haha. Was with Admiral for years on my 350Z. Until i got Direct Line multi car, which halved the premium! It's the same story on the ISF. They don't ask for a tracker. But the extra cost of the premium would pay for the tracker and lifetime subscription. Potentially saving me £1000s over the next few years of ownership (unless my premiums drop sharply). I would really rather not have a tracker. If the car is stolen, I don't want it back. I'll run some more quotes and see what happens if I do multicar with admiral or similar. Thanks for the responses so far!
  14. My insurance company (Direct Line) insists I install a tracker to insure the IS-F. I've looked at brokers who don't require a tracker, but it doubles my premium (from around £450 to nearly £1000). Can anyone recommend a tracker and a company to use? I'm apprehensive on allowing someone to pull trim apart and mess with the vehicles electronics. Never had a tracker before so don't know what to expect. What are people's experiences with fitting? From a good few hours Google searching, I'm considering SmarTrack Protector Pro, from a company called "trackerfit". £199 for the tracker and fitting. Then taking out the £399 subscription which covers the device for it's lifetime.
  15. Sorry to hear this. I'd be devastated. Doubt you'll ever see it again. Probably end up abroad somewhere!
  16. Probably a very similar amount. I doubt many will be scrapped due to the amount of miles that can be piled on them, coupled with owners who on the whole will be very caring. Just if the price drops too much and they become a track toy, or boy racers write them off we might lose some.
  17. Is it possible to run gauges from an OBDII port? I would have thought temps (maybe pressures too?) would have been reported out to the car's ECU already.
  18. Does it do it in sport an snow modes? Guessing this is down to the throttle map. Could be worth investing in a throttle controller so you can program it to your preference.
  19. Probably ran with primary and secondary intakes open all the time with a suitable remap? Ensures the maximum amount of cold air is available at all times.
  20. I remember that RC-F being outside the dealer in Castle Bromwich for a while, summer time-ish last year. Assume that's where you brought it from if it's the only orange one around. Enjoy!
  21. Multi spoke wheels may be a factory fit, depending on what they were. I have also seen standard IS's badged up with a body kit pretending to be an IS-F...
  22. Am I right in thinking you can unplug the little vacuum line that operates the flap on standard intake? So that you get that roar throughout the rev range. Does anyone run theirs "deactivated"? And if so what are the consequences / benefits?
  23. Dyno results would be interesting! Would be good to know if the ECU has reprogrammed itself and is making use of the less restrictive exhaust. Do you have any runs from before and just after the exhaust was installed for comparison?
