    When they dont reply it means they dont see you buying anything, which was the case as they did not have the latest dvd. Their price was fair and for original since who will buy a 2015 dvd in 2016... maybr very few. so the seller buys them from lexus at throw away price... maybe charge them for dvd recycle for all we know...

    I agree. But you are the money Linas. Everyone who posted here combine what they pay is still less than what you pay... And they got in accident and you never did. The political corectness will raise their premium and you need to compensate for it. UK needs you! :)

    Linas What about your ethnicity? Sorry asking personal question but now that you said discrimination. Yeah... they complain forigners are sucking the money out but they dont know how much they inject in the first place :) I pay around 1600 cash and thought that's how it is until I started asking around and got gobsmacked. :) Hay ho. :)

    Are you born in UK ? That affects insurance and your quote are fine.

    So do they charge more the insurance company? I am also thinking now that i changed the brake pads but not the rotors.... if I needed to change the rotors. If I have to, the mintex looks good visually... drilled and dimpled/grove. Will make it look like Merc Amg.

    Every rotor has a lip.... How can you tell by lip? Is lip bad ? I can see lip on your new rotor... or where is the lip if thats not a lip...This has always confused me.

    Supercharger is useless if fuel cannot be increased. What use is more air when there is no petrol being injected. The car will just run lean. A full control with ECU will allow a good feel. Thats my opinion.

    True about synthetic oil have special filter and thats why I only use OEM. Waiting for your post on oil change.

    I do not see the point in supercharging a car if it cannot be remapped. I dont think theae ecu can be cracked. If anyone comes even close it will be tampering of sensors but that does not give much control.

    You need to know what you are getting into. Obviously Merc will be superior and therefore more expensive to keep. You can sell a kidney to get a merc fixed or earn more to keep one. Else, get a jap banger. Toffee you are experienced to know all this but I wouldn't buy anything I cannot afford to keep on cash. Yes, you got cheated but most brits need to accept this now, each time they buy a car from a trade and they part exchange, they get ripped off. And I have witnessed countless times now. And I feel sorry for people who say "when i saw the car I fell in love with it or I know this is the one". Each time I buy a car I account for worst case, if its a lemon how to make lemonade out of it. Having said that, do not let them thiefs get away. Good job on getting your money back. Most people don't have the knowledge or guts to do what you pulled off.

    If it is worrying.... Won't compression test and leak down test tell if it is the engine head or valve seals? Perform that. Not sure how it is done on a diesel car but on petrol its easy.

    Lexus doesn't say to change it maybe for a very good reason. Billion pound of japanese engineering vs a few DIYrs and comments. Get the OEM lexus. You don't want to experiment over a few quids.

    One of my car takes the edge. service interval is 20,000 miles. My guess is edge has some speical additive that reduces friction and protects. I think both edge and magetec are fully synthetic in UK. They cannot in your face lie.

    Cant say for sure if good product but this is what I used. One has to wait 5 or so years to make certain it does the job.
