  1. That's a shame they're not prepared to negotiate, seems a bit daft considering the time of year. If you're only doing 8,000 miles a year that one would stay under the 100,000 for 7 years or so which is a nice thought for re-sale. Mine is at 68,000 and hopefully will stay under for 4/5 years. People don't tend to hold onto the ISF for too long, so 5 owners is a little high but wouldn't put me off.
  2. If anything doesn't look appear right with the cars you're looking at, walk away. A gap in service history will make it much more difficult to sell than high mileage!
  3. Hi, There seems to be a few options on AT, two silver ones at £19k with only 43,000/35,000 miles and a grey one with 44,000. Have you been to see these? Would've thought you could get one of these within your budget. I had a similar decision to make back in February, silver one with 106,000 miles or grey one with 63,000 miles. Although I had every faith in the silver car and robustness of the engine, I was concerned when it came to re-sale that a car with over 100k would be harder to sell. I went for Option 2! I only cover 6,000 miles a year so was happy that when the time comes to sell the car would still have low mileage for its age. Mark.
  4. @Grey One Hopefully the advances in performance mods happening in the US (supercharger etc) will bring some more chat. I also blame Lexus for building a car that doesn't go wrong all that often (touch wood) ;-). It would make much more sense to have a general 'F' forum (ISF, GSF, RCF) which would boost the numbers. The forum was invaluable when I purchased my ISF in February so would be good to keep it going strong in 2017.
  5. Nice job....out of interest has anyone tried to put the wheels back to their original exposed metal/matt black finish. I'm thinking it could be an expensive job...?
  6. Yes no doubt about that, amazing value for a 2015 car with 18,000 miles on the clock.
  7. It still seems smaller than the M3/M4, maybe I'm mistaken. For me not really practical where as the ISF is.
  8. They are great cars, better rear leg room/boot than I expected. Maybe just pitched it to the wrong audience. Could turn out to be a great second hand buy soon!
  9. £37,800 the cheapest price for a 2015 RCF on autotrader now. They seem to be dropping the most of all the F cars.
  10. Mine are still available: Continental ContiWinterContact TS810S MO 96V. Brand new tyres in the larger sizes for ISF 275/30/R19. Need them gone, offers considered!
  11. I have to admit that getting the winter tyres swapped over was a pain for me because they were used, purchased from a member on here at a cost effective price. Very few fitters will do the swap as I assume (for insurance) they can't be seen to fit used tyres. @DT_Racing has the most straight forward method but my fairly modest mileage didn't warrant the extra cost for new alloys and tyres. We're coming into a cold snap so looking forward to feeling the difference. For what I spent on the good quality used tyres and the swap its a no brainer for me for a safer car (if only for a couple of months) but also preserving the summer tyres a bit!
  12. Mine is also with ALA, purchased the policy 3 months after I had bought the car.
  13. The policy is with ALA as it had a defaqto 5 star rating.
  14. Checked my GAP policy and it references that my car is 2008 and the price I paid for it, so it makes up the difference if I get a poor payout by an insurance company.
  15. I took out GAP insurance and the policy was 'back to invoice/price paid'. it cost me about £150 for a 2 year policy. I would have thought this would cover the shortfall offered by the insurers?
  16. They should be pulled up for false advertising, maybe all the car insurance adverts from now on should be.....insure 85% of your car with our multi policy.... and perhaps the police will start pulling over drivers as we only have 85% car insurance!?!? This is shocking and very sorry to hear the outcome of your case!
  17. I checked the rears quickly and they are on the right way. Purchased the tyres from a member on here who had used them for a couple of seasons but plenty of tread left... 6-7mm. Quidelines for pressures written on the car is 40, tyre fitted took them to 38 to allow for the winters. Going to take it easy for a couple of weeks, see if they improve!
  18. Hmm slightly concerning, will have a good check over tomorrow. They're bridgestone blizzaks and the guy at the tyre shop set the pressure at 38
  19. Had my oem size winters on for one week, I have to say that the wet grip is not as good as the vredsteins which are the slightly wider sizes. Lots to wheel spins/twitchy rear end. Is this to be expected in the wet or am I noticing the difference the wider tyre sizes make? hopefully they will prove their worth when the frost/ice comes!
  20. I installed the GROM Audio box for £100 which allows Bluetooth connection to my phone plus additional USB inputs and all controlled using the steering wheel buttons, great addition to my 2008.
  21. I called ECP this morning and tried to order Brembo pads for front and back. First guy I spoke to said it had to be ordered online to get the discount and gave me the part number but there was no way to search for the specific part number on their website. Called back later and another guy just applied the reduction over the phone. Front and backs ordered....for about £80.
  22. Hi guys, purchased a GFX Rear Skirt/bumper ages ago from eBay and have subsequently sold the car and upgraded. Purchased along with the GFX side skirts which were definitely genuine but stayed on the car when it was sold. Got the skirt/bumper painted but never fitted to the car. Its been knocking about in my garage so will need some new paint! The item was sold as a genuine Lexus part but I have no way of confirming this so you better treat it as a replica part and offer accordingly. This rear skirt/bumper is what you would expect to see on the IS250 SR models. Sensible offers considered. Cheers, Mark.
  23. Hi guys, still haven't got round to listing my IS250 OEM F Sport Induction kit on eBay. Was only on my car for 6 months, taken off on February when I sold my car (2006 IS250) and purchased an ISF. Thought I would see of anyone was interested here before going to eBay. Looks great and really adds a throughty growl. Purchased from a Lexus main dealer in the US at a cost of £300. Sensible offers considered. Cheers, Mark.
