  1. I'd be interested, being a South Midlander (at present). I'm south of Leiceser but I dont mind a drive. M6 or M1 not to tough to get to for me.
  2. CarPlan Tyre Slik. Its a spray on, can be made to look glossy or matt. Easiest application by far, last better than any gel I ever came across. Takes a coat (after each weekly wash) initially on previously undressed rubber to get the full effect but after that once a month is all you need Came across it a few years back when searching to find someting that suited me and never looked back. Also won autoexpress tyre shine category like 3 years running http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/64404/product-awards-2013-best-tyre-shines http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/90998/best-tyre-shine-2016
  3. That is a fine fine price for 4 new donuts fitted. Wish I had friends like that.
  4. I'll start with what I know of the T1R's. In a misguided move I fitted these to a high powered Quattro and found them to be an outdated, poor performing disappointment of a tyre. This was actually surprising considering my comparison on the same car was to a set of Falken.... My assumption is you will be missing out on the true capability of the car if you stick with these. I am presently on SP5's on the ISF which are ok but not outstanding, I will be swapping for a full set of sp6's before the end of the month, appear to be a very good all rounder and are used as OEM preference for many new high powered rear drive cars. MSS always highly regarded and you won't go wrong. Track performance go MSS, you don't give up much in all round performance. Estimate the SP6's loose to the MSS on track but gain a little in super wet and winter. Depends where your priorities lie, small margins either end. Either way I'd loose the T1R's, I know its a tough call knowing your present T1R's have good life in them.
  5. Soon as you hear it roar at 3700rpm there will be no Eco mode. You'll just want more... enjoy
  6. Pagid pads are great on these if your not going to go slamming around on track. Better cold bite than the Brembo's and no squealing but resistance to fade is reduced. You'll never get anywhere near fading them on the road. I swapped both front disks and pads last sunday, OEM Brembo disks with Pagid pads, AP Racing brake fluid. 1.5hrs total, very easy and all in £165. Good news on the purchase, great choice. Pics and details please when you have them...
  7. Thanks for the feedback. Still not found the time to have mine fitted. She's back at Lexus Monday for her 'BIG' 6th Service and hoping to find a day in the not so distant future following this to have these fitted, the inside edges of my tyres now looking decidedly second hand.
  8. Straight to 35%. Its hard to tell but we do have a slight factory tint in the rear so it does end up slightly darker than the 35%. I didnt want a black out limo look, feels and looks more OEM to me but its all a personal preferance of course.
  9. Not usually my area but in searching the forum I came across this thread and thought I would add a comment just in case it could help you. I appreciate the cars are different but appear to be an issue across much of the Lexus range. I have traced my own issue of inner edge tyre wear to a combination of geometry and bushing design .Mainly the issue falls to the lower suspension wishbone rear bush that under braking deflects signficantly and creates a very dynamic tow out situation scrubbing the inside edge. Luckily for us IS250/300/ISF owners there is an uprated item (none lexus) that can replace the bushing and completely removes this issue subject to correct Lexus alignment. Wondered if this was also the issue you are facing... Hope you find a resolution to you're problem.
  10. I'd suggest that with cars like our wonderful machines you need to go by the book. I would kick myself if I had a failure of any kind that might have been prevented had it only been for a service once a year. As it goes I do so many miles it will be in for its second service this year in about a month, might even manage 3 this year :-)
  11. I thouhgt it might add something to the thread if I add an actual picture of the items as delivered. Please everyone be in no doubt as to the quality of these items they are superbly finished. They come complete with full set of fitting instructions, grease and a couple of RR-Racing stickers all very well packaged. I am very much looking forward to fitting these.
  12. Yes direct from their website, they were quick arriving to in just over a week. Going to take longer to find time to get them fitted than they did to arrive.
  13. Import VAT £24.86 Clearance Fee £8.00 Total £32.86
  14. If you want to know how they look inside... Found this on the American LOC site. This one has had a secondary inlet added And now with perf pipe
  15. My USRS are officially in the country. Delivery tomorrow. Now just need to find the time to have them fitted and the car aligned.
  16. £696 fitted for the Conti sport 6's. Same as the MPSS cheapest was black circles. Other options was £618 posted to my door from camskill. It depends if I will have chance to take a trip to my local friendly F1 team and get them fitted which way I go. I might have to have them fitted local and then take them for purging at a later date, depends how long I can hold off on the new tyres.
  17. Thanks Emjay, think I have it straight now (F) 245/35/19 93Y (R) 275/30/19 96Y
  18. Of course I would have liked a bespoke one piece silicone item but the price for a one off was of course extortionate. I did enquire and I could get the setup fees waved if I ordered 20 units.... Haha , I don't have much use for 20 😀
  19. Final revision completed and fitted today. I'll let it run for a thousand miles and stick it back on the dyno see how we go. Overview And the re-routed breather to match that of the RR-Racing Setup So there we have it, an IS-F CCSR / HPS / RR-Racing mashup intake system. Rather pretty to.
  20. Can I ask for those who have the 245's fitted which load rating they are using? I can only find them in 93's. Edit: I really should check things first, standard fronts are 93 load rating...
  21. So our counterparts in the states are using the 255's on the front with no issue it seems. They don't look out of place either. I think the rims (although different design) are the same sizes so should fit nicely on ours to. Hmmm, thinking thinking
  22. So Gib, are you going for 97 load rating or did you find some 96's? I was planning on the new continental sport contact 6's.
  23. I'll be fitting new rubber very shortly and was going to fit the slightly larger rubber as others have done. However, I've gotten myself confused reading the forum specifically on the larger front tyre size. I've seen both 245/35/19 and also 255/35/19 mentioned. Doing a quick tyre size comparison it appears the 255/35/19 is the most likely candidate being almost an exact match for the standard tyre in circumference being only 0.4% difference where as the 245 is 1.1%. Now I know were not talking anything significant here but I need to be sure. Second point of note I dont seem to be able to find the 245's in a 96 laod rating, only in a 93 or 97, again take a 97 no drama. For the 255 I can find the correct 96 load rating and being very close the standard cars rolling diameter I'm swayed this way but I dont want to fit a tyre to large for the rim or that might scuff. So I throw myself infront of team LOC to lend their wisdom and take the advice. So standard are: (F) 225/40/19 96Y (R) 255/35/19 96Y Thanks ladies and Gents
