    Unfortunately I have to agree , but overall I hope to prefer the NX .

    The NX is def heavier on fuel consumption, seem to Be getting 42 mpg compared with 53 mpg on IS , but TBH we don’t really use it enough to make such an impact . The IS 300 h felt more sporty , nimble , lighter , agile than then NX which feels heavier and a bit sluggish ? . Plenty of legroom front and back . Very comfortable sitting position with better all round view .

    Bought used Lexus NX from Lexus dealer , not had it a week and it has just advised on screen Maintenance oil service required. Surely it should be Serviced before being Sold on Lexus forecourt ? .

    Yep , looks terrible. I am normally in Spain from November to March and see those cars with paint peeling off all the time. I try to park in shade when there’s , the underground car park is a nightmare to get in and out of , I had the 2 bashes on the IS 300 to prove it !

    My IS300 gives excellent mpg , most journeys I get around 52 mpg . I have done over 60 . Rarely less than 50 . Just change do to NX so I’m expecting a drop in mpg , will be interesting. Hope petrol prices go back down soon !

    Today just traded in my trusty immaculate IS 300 h for a black NX300 h . The ride , comfort , seats , space are far superior but I’m still sorry to see my IS go . The new owner doesn’t know how lucky they are !

    Collected the NX today , really pleased with it . Apple Play is amazing , great for Whats app tests , Google map etc .

    The car I’m going for is in excellent condition, the interior is cream , which I have on my IS 300 , which I love and it is in perfect condition. Mileage below average. I had the flat battery fiasco when i had to leave the IS behind in pain for 5 months because of Covid .

    Thanks for that . The sales guy mentioned navigating with Google map , also mentioned using Siri to make calls .

    Thanks Colin . The sales guy in Garage mentioned round abouts ! I did wonder if it was Sales man talk , a bit of BS ! I have asked them to check out the wheel alignment. The other issues i asked are minor . Can’t wait to get it . Had the IS300 for 5 years and loved it , not had to do a single thing apart from new wipers and new tyres .

    This good news , every 2 years I pay £900 for extended warranty and I have car serviced with Lexus every year . i will now have to take out UK / Europe breakdown cover . Any recommendations???

    I am I now process of buying a 2019 NX . I am have the Apple play installed for £80 . Told it takes 4 hours !? . Is it worth it ? Can anyone tell me what I can do with Apple play that would be useful?

    Any tips to look out for . Chosen a car , rest drove it . Everything perfect but passenger front tyre was more worn than others . Noticed when braking it pulled slightly to the left . The dealer will replace with new tyre . Is this a common thing in the NX300 ? Anything else to look out for ?

    Can I ask , why did you go all the way to Derby to buy a Lexus ? . Several dealers in Kent , I use Canterbury. Also , what colour is Mangalese ???.

    Can I just clarify , are you saying it is recommended to start the engine and just let the engine run while idle for an hour ? Does this actually charge the battery up ? . My battery went flat in Spain when I had to leave it behind for 5 months , my friends asked if I want them to Start it up now and then , but I thought that would drain the battery more ! It was a nightmare getting new battery fitted , took 5 days for new battery to come from Madrid etc . I’m worried about it happening again , especially now because I hardly use the car now .

    I had a UX as a courtesy car recently. It feels much cheaper inside . The interior lights were awful , no light at all . Door panels look cheap . My current IS300 has the cream leather interior and the door panel inserts are cream leather , looks very smart . My only complaint is getting out of the car, the IS 300 , it feels so low down and you have to pull yourself out . I would like an SUV next time , but the NX 300 is really holding its price very well , so not cheap to buy . Maybe when new model comes out .

    I agree with you , rattled and creaks would really annoy , especially on a new car . My IS 300 H has virtually no noises , after 5 years I’m well pleased
