    I am looking at the UX , but .... it is lacking in equipment unless you go for the top Takumi and the rear luggage space is really quite small , for a hatchback.

    Just seen a 70 plate IS 300 h in my local Sainsbury’s car park . Must be one of the last few to be sold in Uk , how sad , especially when the new Is model looks fantastic and is only available in other markets like USA .

    When being stopped by police in Spain they actually asked to see they ferry ticket as proof of when I left UK !!! . Imagine the British police doing the same to European drivers in the UK ??!!!!

    You won’t be able to keep a car in Uk on Polish plates for more than 6 months . When I am in Spain the police stop Uk plates cars amd ask you for proof of when you brought it into the country . The Uk police should be doing the same and if you had an accident would your insurance be void ?

    Currently looking at NX 300 s around 2 to 5 years and I’m surprised how expensive they are , when is the new model coming out ? I’m hoping the second hand ones will drop in value then

    I thought the battery was guaranteed for 10 years ? Not heard of 15 years

    I think they use something like this when you have it repaired by Lexus . Not happy with my cream leather seats , wearing badly despite being very careful not to scuff .

    I’m confused . There is a starter battery and then the battery that is charged when driving for the electric motor . If the starter battery is charged that will start the petrol engine and then we should get going . Are you saying we’re could still have problem ? Are you saying there are 3 batteries ?? . I’m getting worried now !!!

    The problem is , car Is underground, the engine running will be an issue, the fumes . Also , what does our friend do for 30 mins each time ? . Think we will wait to we get out there , then call out Breakdown and then supervise ourselves . Flying out there In mid July . Thanks for response .

    How much are we looking at for a replacement battery, supplied And fitted ? . My IS300 h is still languishing in an underground car park in Spain and a friend has just informed me the battery is flat . I hoping it just needs charging . We have Europe breakdown cover with our extended warranty so they should come, out and either charge it up or jump star5 it with leads ? . I’m guessing the battery is in the boot ? It will Ben very difficult to get to the engine / bonnet . Any advice welcome .

    I have the same extended warranty, I think it’s good value when it includes comprehensive Europe breakdown cover and 2 MOTs . can I ask you what did you pay for the 2 years extended warranty?

    Yes , but what is the right restriction of time allowed in Eu ? Some insurers have fixed number of days , 45 etc . Saga Is unlimited.

    Does LV do European cover with out a limit on number of days there ??? I would be interested

    We have car insurance with Saga , purely because they cover the car in Europe with no limitations, all the other insurance companies restricted you to 45 days etc .

    Expecting it to Be Left here for at least 3 / 4 months . Meant to be back in July , hopefully 🤞

    Hotels all shut , no where to eat . Brittany ferries stopped all crossing FRANCE to UK some time ago , now they have stopped Spain yo UK , I would guess thousands have been affected .

    Thanks for all the advice everyone. It will now be left in underground car park . We cannot drive to our friends house to leave on driveway, will be stopped by police and a fine . It’s basically Marshal Law now . Will leave the foot brake OFF and alarm ON as advised . A friend will check on it every week or so . It’s an absolute nightmare here , especially as can’t even take a taxi to airport with 2 in car , one person per Taxi !!!!!!. . Will try to walk to station and get train to airport .

    I lost a BMW key fob 20 years ago , it cost more than £200 to replace it then ! . Someone told me other day a replacement key fob was over £500 for a car , cannot remember what make it was .

    Currently stuck in Spain, but now getting flight back on Sunday ( hopefully) after ferry crossing cancelled for next month . Will Leave Lexus Parked outside on a drive way . Anything I should do ? Foot brake on or off ? . What about the alarm ? Any suggestions would be welcome .
