The rear also has the battery between the shock towers, does that make the job more awkward too? Is there a guide anywhere?
-
Top tip John, thanks. I'll take a look and see what I find.

I like that fix, well done 👍

Gave the headlights a quick polish to see how they'd come up. Quite pleased with them after just a few mins work.

Hello Lee, Welcome to the forum. That's a good looking IS you have there, are those aftermarket alloys? How's she been treating you? Cheers, Lee (not far from Derbys)

Well done checking the servo's on both sides. I've been reading up on this for the past few days, my passenger footwell is blowing cold constantly. Are both driver and passenger sides blowing cold all the time? If so, then isn't there another servo that controls the cold/hot mix?

IS200 wheels changed making the car roll about?

Check your tyres pressures are as per the cold setting on the b-pillar. New tyres are also covered in release agent and will need a while to scrub in. -
The F770 has some nice features. The sample images above were quick screen shots from my phone (Android) and don't look as good as the images on the dedicated PC application, like this;

The rear sun shade doesn't run parallel to the rear screen, it starts further forward in front of the 3rd brake light. So I fitted the camera just above the 3rd brake light, higher would have given a better image but that would have interfered with the sun shade. The cable was run around the parcel shelf, up and over the rear down but I couldn't get a neat run around the top of the b-pillar. So I dipped the cable halfway down the passenger b-pillar, popped off the lower section to loop up the excess cable (out of the way of the seat belt). The cable them went up and over the passenger door and around the top of the screen to the camera. All neat and tidy. Test views

Oh gawd, not again! I feel for ya, some folks just don't seem to care anymore. -
Oh really, that's neat.

Hmmm, can a rear camera be installed with the rear sun shade?
-
I hope to get the rear hooked up at lunchtime. Do you have any tips? Can a rear dashcam be installed with a rear sunshade?

Just fitted my front dashcam (Thinkware F770) and hardwired into the AUX circuit via a piggy back fuse on the drivers fuse board. As the fuse board is well recessed, I've left the cover off for the moment but I may cut a slot in and refit the cover. Routing the cable was easy and only needed the drivers end of the dash uncliping. The cable was then tucked in the drivers A pillar and roof lining, up and over to the camera. Excess cable was looped up, cabled tied and tucked under the carpet well out of the way.

As the fuse board is well recessed, I've left the cover off for the moment but I may cut a slot in later and refit the cover. Excess cable was looped up, cabled tied and tucked under the carpet well out of the way. Will try and get the rear camera hooked up tomorrow. Sorry, I didn't take any pic's - I'll have myself bound and flogged...oh wait, wrong forum!

After 5 years, Lexus will warranty the Hybrid system for another 12 months if you service the vehicle at a dealer. Or you can service the car elsewhere and pay £70 for a Hybrid check and 12 month warranty. Hybrid systems can be warrantied for up to 10 years.

They arent true petrol heads if they didn't show your car any love. Their loss [emoji38] I've been wanting to get back over there for a few years. I could easily spend the day in the car park dribblin' over visitors cars! Let alone see those on the hill. -
I agree, your car looks great as-is. Can your suspension be raised a bit more? Maybe just that last bit of clearance is all that's needed, then no need to shell out for new alloys/tyres. Or instead of firming up the dampers, maybe you need stiffer springs installed?
