Hello, nation of IS, few days ago i changed air filter, not a sport one, the same as stock one, but not made by toyota. Then i started driving and ~60 km/h i floored accelerator pedal and noticed strange loud flat sound coming from the engine-air filter zone? i am confused.. Could that sound be because of that air filter? or is it something i should concern about?

As i remember, they asked for new stereo ~1200-1400 Euro. Don't remember exactly, but it is nonsense to pay for stereo head unit that much!!! My head unit had very often ERR1, tired to clean laser with cleaning disk, didn't help much, then i bought expencive cleaning disk, and you know what, it helped! The cotton wich cleaned laser was oroginaly white, after cleaning - came out black:)) Besides, i use 95% CDR disks, and it is fine.

Same prob with me, but that happens only in cold days, i mean when weather is cold, in summer, never had this problem. However, i was driving a new M3 and the gearbox was also cracky and not smooth. Also some few year old cars that i drove, had "stuck gear" problem, i just released the clutch and tried again, and it was in easily. So i don't really make my head hurt about it.

Talking about key scratch, it is ugly, but what about that kind of thing? Two days ago, in the evening i was going to my car from friends home. My car was standing by the sidewalk, and guess what, some mother***** spitted on my driver window. It is nice to have happy people around you!

Sweet! I thought about that myself, i mean the "STOCK" look, because if i put aftermarked headunit in dash, it will be stolen soon, so this is nice setup! Now i am using iPAQ 3950+GPS unit for navigation and for movies:) funny, but You can enjoy watching movies in PDA:)

Sorry to hear that, and i know how you feel about it, because some time ago i left my car near the sport arena, where i go for swimming. Came back and some dodieman(woman) reversed to my left front wing. But mine was damaged much more. Some people just don't know what rear mirrors are for!!!!!

Besides, it seems that my car can't really drive on the 2nd gear really slow (on bad bumpy gravel road), the revs are too low and the engine would stop if take my foot of accelerator pedal. I have to drive in 1st gear on that kind of road and to judder. Is it normal?

I don't know if i can identify where exact is coming from, because it is only heard when i start in low revs, and i don't wanna go to my Lexus service, because i visited them too often and when i go there, they do not hear anything and they say there are no problems :/ they did diagnostics a month ago, and it was perfect. besides sound from clutch also comes only when the revs get as low as they can, on neutral. Any ideas? And when You say it could be a lose heat shield or fuel injectors, is it very expensive?

Period of happynes was so short A week a go, i changed y IS's clutch release ball joint, because that strange clicking-pinking noise from the center of my car's bottom. I mean when i floored the clutch the sound was gone, when i release it, the sound is back. Ok after changing the ball joint, sound was off and clutch was smooth for a week , now it is coming back stronger and stronger And the other thing is bothering me, my engine rattle at low revs, i mean when i begin to roll the sound is coming out, seems like it is not enough power or smthg. Is it normal or what? I feel concerned about it. I know that somewhere in forum it is discussed, but please, let me know what is this and what to do. Don't be cold-blooded and help me Regards

Sorry to hear that, i heared about that somewhere and there was a suggestion what to do. They say it is not a carpet. If You have time go to this forums neighbour is300.net forum (hope modifier of this forum will not be angry) and search for jammed accelerator or smth, i read about it, and You should do something about it and fast, because there are a lot of trees out there! hi, my clutch also used to judder, had that strange clicking noise, wich disappeared when i floored my clutch, then i **** off and i asked my dealer to do smth with it. And they did, they changed clutch ball joint. Now my clutch is smooth, start is smooth, there is no freakin' sound and the best thing is, i can enjoy my ride again!

My used to judder too, but finaly i got my clutch ball joint changed and it is gone, my ride is lifting of smooth in low or high revs. I am happy with it now!

Dude, maybe it is A/C water after using it. :) strange thing is, that a lot of people who use A/C system don't know that some water must leak when you use it, how You say "condencate"? Trie turn A/C off and check if there is a leak, if it still is, sorry

As someone mentioned, Lexus is so quiet, that your keys may make you nervous :D I had some crackling noise from my dashboard, i couldn't take it, and with this forum's help i make it stop. Just played with some two sided sticky materials between all parts and it is gone since. However i head some noises, very rare in the area near glove box, but i can't figure it out, it seems like something is loose. As lexus dealer said: "Just play with it, and it will be gone" Cheers

Amm, now i feel lack of power when i need it, as if i push the accelerator, and it and sometimes car goes not smooth, like it goes normal, and for half a second it looses power, or something. Aido>>where could i get my ECU restarted?

Thanks guys, i will check that out. About tyres, I have Dunlop Sport 9000 R17 45mm, and when they showed me how it spins on their balancing machine, it was quite bumpy. I hope that vibration is because of that, because my guarantee just expired a week ago :/ hope it is not ball joints

Hi, what a coincidence, I have something like that too, and i am pi.... off. I feel vibrations on the steering wheel when i go 80-100km/h speed and then when i hit brakes, the vibration is quit strong. Warped discs you will say, i would agree, but... week ago i changes my discs to new ones, and pads too, so wtf? i checked my car when it was lifted up, and both front wheels spins not so freely, is it normal? i spin it, and it stops at the moment. Could that warp my new discs already??? besides, at dealership they said, that vibration is caused because of bad front tyres, i saw that it is bumpy when they turnet them on balancing mashine. Can these bumps cause vibration during braking? And can it be, that my tyres are messed up, but ballance is 0.0? Help me please, because my nerves are going down Besides, i already changed 3 pair of discs, because of jamed right side breaking pad mechanism, changed it too, cost ~ 800 euro :tsktsk: Please, don't let my nerves get jammed:) make me calm
