  1. Hi UK250. I'm suprised you're not seeing many f sports. When I was looking for my premier premium all I was seeing were a few luxury but lots of f sports at various mileages and prices. As for lowering an none f sport then it's totally an individual thing. The photo posted of a lowered is300h looks fab to me. I'm on my 2nd is300h premier premium and this one is so much better than the one I had a year ago. That car must of had suspension from a f sport and it rode the road awfully to me. It jarred on any road surface which wasn't smooth. I suggest you find a f sport near you, any will do, and take it for a test run to see if you'd want to lower and stiffen one.
  2. To me the the keyfob low battery warning is a really good one and it can't be affected by snow like the park sensors can.
  3. On the way to work this morning in some really nice snow making driving difficult a rather interesting and annoying warning appeared on my display. Clean Parking Sensors. Wow I thought. I cleared it on the large display and it stayed clear but annoyingly it kept on on the small screen no matter how many times I cleared it. Now I'm not sure what to think of that warning but I do think it' a bit OTT. What other weird warnings have others had?
  4. Looking at the Web site pictures of the acoustic correction filters I'd personally say they are more like a suppressant as opposed to a fixed crossover. Maybe some kind of signal cleaner. I intend to email them at some point to get more information and low down on their system.
  5. That's a very interesting post Nemesis. I may just look into that. Yes my car has a very good ML system But there Is room for improvement. I do all my music listening in the car that' why I fit top end audio equipment. I have audiophile quality hifi at home which hasn' been used in almost a decade (I've had it 30 years).
  6. Hi Vincent. Don' you know in settings you can have the rev counter on all the time?
  7. Hi Finksy. Nowt taken personally. I was just worried about you. It' the way I am. You be well too.
  8. What an excellent and informative thread this is. Hats off to you Sheri 1 for posting it and hats off to lexus teesside.
  9. Mark. It must be different on the 200h because on my is300h the blue arrows indicate charging. Martin. I wasn't coasting. The EV light was on and engine not running and battery drive to the wheels. Well put Colin. This experience of mine has only happened once and it amazed me hence me posting it and intrigued if anyone else has had similar experience.
  10. I'e been told by the dealer and read online and hard print that the max speed possible on battery alone is 40mpg. The sales guy who sold me my current car 'bragged' he managed 44mph. Well just today on the M621 I looked down on my display in disbelief I was travelling at 50mph with no engine revs and the orange arrow telling me I'm on battery power. This lasted 1/4 mile before the engine kicked in. So I thought I'd ask what' the fastest you'e gone on battery alone?
  11. Ahhhh thanks Mark. I know of is300's but it must be me misunderstanding what was put. So there's 2 versions now of the is300h. Thanks again.
  12. I sit corrected Colin. Iv'e no idea actually about Lexus trim level designations. I didn' even know there are 3 mks of the is300h! I thought there was the type I have and had and the newer facelifted one.
  13. SE-L spec is a Mercedes-Benz level.of spec and it means long wheel base. I think it's a miss print which has gone un noticed and carried on.
  14. Just how close was the hole to the shoulder of the tyre? I'e had plug repairs done 7mm from the shoulder with no adverse effects what so ever.
  15. Whats your problem Finzky? This is a genuine thread. The wind noise I'm getting knarked off with is annoying. It will get brought up when I take my car in when they look at my bluetooth issue. If they can't or won't resolve it then they'll be having the car back. My previous premium premier didn't suffer with with wind noise so why should I have to tolerate this car having it.
  16. Thought I'd post these quotes from Warranty Direct for their LuxuryCare warranty plan where any work would be done at a main dealer. 1yr 453.26 2yr 815.88 3yr 1155.82 LuxuryCare covers All parts. When and if the time comes for me to decide on an extended warranty I'll probably plumb for the lexus one. I just posted my thoughts for the perusal of others. Hope my Info and thoughts have been of interest.
  17. Finzky don' get paranoid. The wind noise only happens above 60mph.
  18. It' weird that the names in my phone appear in the cars phonebook. However when I get a text no senders name appears, just their phone number. Anyway the cars booked in to lexus to suss the problem.
  19. Blimey Neil. Either you or a friend or family member have had a bad experience with Warranty Direct. I've been with them years and wirh one car I had the clutch pedal hit the floor and stay there. One call to them got me towed to a garage within an hour. The garage changed the slave cylinder. Got car back 2 days later. No quibbles. Oh dear a week later same again. Car towed to same garage within the hour and a new master cylinder fitted. No quibbles or get out of paying clauses but superb service. I've lots of family and friends with them and a number of claims made and honoured. My last policy for the Mondeo was their top one which covered everything. I will however when the time comes delve within them for my Lexus. I wouldn't be suprised if somebody somewhere has had a quibble with All warranty companies. At the end of the day you pays your cash and pot luck.
  20. Be very very wary of Warranty Direct? Noooooo. I actually asked them about a warranty for the is300h and with no hesitation they said yes. However I'm a sod to get the right answers and info when the time comes. So till next September I'll not bother looking for an extended warranty. I am intrigued tho about getting a warranty on the hybrid system after its had a health check. Is that a free warranty on it or a charged one? I'l get round to asking lexus that.
  21. I don' know about the lexus extended warranty and having to have the hybrid heath check But since some Toyota cars have the same engine drive train and hybrid system as the is300h then they are more than qualified to do the health check But I won' buy the lexus warranty when my current free 1 years run out. I'l be using Warranty Direct as I've used them for years and they are a no quibble company in my experience.
  22. I' going to hijack this thread because high service costs were mentioned. My car will be serviced by my local Toyota dealer. Main service £330 Intermediate £180 Now thats most agreeable don' you think.
  23. I'l put this info on this post as it' most relevant. My car will Not be serviced by Any Lexus garage. Instead it'll be serviced by Toyota. Full service is £330.00 and intermediate is £180.00. Plus they'l do it when You want it doing i.e. in my case yearly @ 1.2k miles. Genuine parts used. If spark plugs need doing then they're charged for. No sweat there. Contact your local Toyota dealer. However they don' do service plans but at those prices who needs one.
  24. Hello Bernie. Just read your thread with interest. I think you'l not like the IS300HI initially because of the CVT box. I' on my 2nd is300h in the space of 14 months. 1st one lasted 5 weeks because of the CVT and the ride and other niggles. The car was a Premier Premium. I chopped it in for a ford mondeo titanium x sport ecoboost which had an auto box (great training for a CVT). So most definitely get a 24 hour test. My current car is a Premier Premium and I knew what to look out for. I knew I wanted this car within a few minutes (after deliberately hitting a pothole ) as the car responded superbly. Economy for a petrol car is very good. I' in my 3rd week now of ownership and am still getting used to it. Going up motorway hills needs the loud pedal pressing more than the 1/4 I do normally. However in sport mode and with some juice in the batteries and you floor it beyond the detant in its travel then it flies. Rev counter goes to 6000 revs and it sounds great and is almost as quick as my previous mondeo. The ride is sublime and so comfortable and quiet. The sound system is really good. I suggest getting quite a few 'short' test drives from either lexus dealers or independants or see if you can hire one for a weekend. Let us know how you get on.
