  1. WOW what is the issue? How long have you had the car? Did you buy it outright or on a finance? If finance I'd contact the finance company and explain that the car is faulty to a point you no longer trust it and you are intent on returning it as unfit for use. See what their response is. Also seek legal advice. This is a very very rare issue against a Lexus dealer. Best of luck.
  2. Oh a few very funny comments made. What make me laugh also that the OP to the thread only made one comment and that was the opening post! Maurice you just love skirting round an issue don't you lol. John. I've stated categorically that I have personally bypassed egrs and have had complete dpf removal and tuning done more than a few times on diesel cars ive had and have not been reprimanded by admin for it. So sorry pal what you suggested was wrong if my experience has anything to do with it. You know what Miles. It looks like you're not gonna get any joy from admin unfortunately. Maybe contact Colin Barber directly. He's a senior global moderator and a top geezer. Gives it to you straight. Private message him and hopefully he'll be able to give you a satisfactory reason and get your original username back in use.
  3. It's ok Miles. I find it totally strange how admin twisted your complaint as an attack on them. Maurice. I think you totally got the wrong end of the stick regarding Miles. Just what did you read of Miles's that in your opinion crossed the line? In my opinion he did Not cross any line. And its more than remis that admin have not explained their 'punishment ' and it has put a blight on what I think of this forum.
  4. WOW. I've heard of warnings being given. I have a permanent one due to my reactions to the very same member you complained about. I've also known of complete threads being blocked by admin. However I'm totally shocked admin have ignored your emails. Are you sending direct ones or via the contact us on the site? When I learned I and a few others were not allowed to view that thread I contacted admin c/o the contact us link and got a reply a day or 2 later. It's a travesty that you have had such punishment for making a complaint against another member.
  5. Can't answer that as I've no idea. Am not a scientist.
  6. Hi John. Yes they all seem to come from China. You can get genuine Lexus ones but as you'll see they ain't cheap
  7. Hi John. Got mine from ebay. Just had a look but the ones I got that sale has ended. However there are more sellers. Around £8 for 2.
  8. Hi John. I don't think you can adjust them. I replaced one which it's spray pattern was low.
  9. Hi Peter. The plug cleaned up really well. However the socket pins are shot I think and can't be cleaned properly hence the need of replacing. As for depressurisation and bleeding. I've watched a few YouTube videos about ABS pump replacing and none mentioned about pressure in the system. They just undid the hydraulic pipes normally. My thought now is to get a used unit and find a garage to do the fitting.
  10. Has anyone had their ABS pump replaced? Did you do it yourself? I'd like to do it myself but the one thing that puts me off is removing the brake hydraulic lines from the body and brake fluid spewing everywhere. Why do I want to replace mine? Look below. Corrosion due to water ingress and giving me the dreaded VCS and ABS dash lights with codes c0274 and c0273. There's a few used ones on ebay but it's only the bit where the multiplug socket is. No amount of cleaning as best as one could clears the fault plus a couple ofvthe connector pins are bent and I think one missing. So if I remove the hydraulic lines will I lose a lot of fluid? I know a full brake system bleed would need to be done but being on my own I'm thinking that'll be a tall order.
  11. Ah your cars sockets are horizontal. Makes a difference to those who have vertical ones. Shallow mount power adapter and 90° USB adapter required.
  12. Hi David. My back is back to normal but I've lost the energy I had Been back in work 4 weeks now on lighter duties. 00.30 starts to unload 2 trailers and load 2 class 2 trucks and 3 7.5t trucks so basically hard physical work not light duties lol. I've learnt that Google owns Waze. Saw a review about the two and both work well but Google maps overall is better. Same car on the same long route using both maps by the way. Personally I use tomtom if I need route guideness after I've checked Google for road situations.
  13. Nice Post Andrej. However I'm not sure where the Aux socket is in a GS or where a USB socket is for power. Ideally you need to post a photo of its installation for others to see. In the is250 for example more has to be bought. I've posted there how I did mine and provided a photo.
  14. Conspiracies. Don't you just luv 'em 🤣
  15. Have a look at Brakes International. They have a very large customer base and very very reasonable prices.
  16. Yes Malc this IS a Lexus forum. It has however a section to input none car related subjects. So basically the administration of this forum has either changed or has new members who are 'strict ' in what can be posted. So much for free speech eh!
  17. Antony. The word came from Administration not me.
  18. The thread was taken off by the Administration because they received too many complaints. I contacted them asking why they took my thread down. Unfortunately, due to several complaints about some of the topic content, the post has been locked and hidden until we can find a resolution to the disputes. That was their reply to my email to them.
  19. As stated above. Only techstream or one helluva expensive scan tool will read All codes. Yes check condition of wheel bearings. What you could do initially is disconnect the battery for 45 minutes. This kind of resets the ECU and 9 times out of 10 clears all codes. The 1 time is when there is definitely a fault. Look on ebay for a copy of techstream.
  20. Malc they've been trying to capture the CO2 cows emit for quite some time. But it's basically an impossible task unless all cows lived indoors only and that ain't ever gonna happen. Don't you worry. Your LS700 is not that far away.
  21. Yes Linas there was a bit of negatively towards the e-fuel only thing. Those opposing it came up with things like, what you said, how will it work? They mentioned that it could be like VW's diesel gate malarkey. That people with the E-fuel car would simply fill up with Petrol. Oh how stupid of folk slagging off a ruddy good idea because they didn't think of it.
