  1. Editor of Auto Express also reporting it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Lexus UK put a tweet out yesterday which suggests it will. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. My RX450H is 9 years old and has covered almost 100,000 miles. It’s paint is, with the exception of swirl marks, as good as it left the factory. The bumpers haven’t peeled, even where I’ve got a bit close to a wall... Sounds to me, like an insurance company being an insurance company and talking a load of nonsense. 4. I’ve got a 97000 mile, 2010 RX which lived most of its life in the Bolton/Stockport area and is now living in rural Cambridgeshire and I’m the 4th owner. I can’t speak for the northern roads - but ours are very poor. It has no squeaks of any sort (except the air suspension but They All Do That Sir) however it does have a couple of light creaks from the drivers door and the rear seat. The rear seat is easily silenced by pulling down the arm rest. The drivers door noise is easy enough to ignore. Considering it’s age this car has worn extraordinarily well. I’ve put almost 20,000 miles on it in 9 months and it’s taken those well. I have lived in the Fens and now west of Cambridge where the roads are shocking. Potholes, ruts, cracks and unexplained bumps. No matter how fast you hit the surprise ones that’s spring up overnight no new squeaks have been added to the cabin. It also has to regularly deal with ridiculously hard speed bumps. Every so often I hear an irritating rattle and it’s always something I’ve left in the cupholder. It seems a tough old beast and takes most things in it’s stride - however what I will say to qualify is, my previous SEAT had an equally hard life and undertook a higher mileage in my care and that didn’t have any squeaks, creaks or groans. 5. This is a slightly biased response as I’ve done 20,000 miles in my RX in the last 9 months and about 550 miles in an NX courtesy car I had for a week. However, the RX is a superior car. The NX felt tiny inside, it’s boot being a particular disappointment and the ride quality of the one I had was pretty dismal. I averaged 39 mpg in the NX and in the same conditions (journey/weather/foot weight) in the RX I get 35/6. I initially really liked the look of the NX and sat in one of those in Lexus Leicester first. Once the salesman took me outside to sit in an RX the goal was set. Great levels of comfort, surprising turn of speed and looks great. Downsides of an RX for me are, fuel economy in slow moving traffic, the air suspension squeaks (apparently they all do this) and it is a bugger to park in congested areas. 6. Yep, as above, if you press the camera select button on the wheel then use the mousepad (?) to click the auto button, this will stop happening. You will however always be able to use the steering wheel button (2 squares, bottom left) to turn it on if you ever need it. A. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have to agree with the majority and say that the nav built in to my 2010 RX is rubbish. I’ve used it twice and it just seemed very dim-witted, like every manufacturer system I’ve tried. I run Waze on my iPhone with a magnetic holder so the phone sits just below the screen. Live accurate updates and I already own a smartphone so don’t need to purchase an additional device. 8. I knew it was in there somewhere! Glad to hear you got it sorted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. You can turn the flicking between screens off. I forget how, but I was being driven spare by it flicking back and forth and eventually found the setting. It’s called “last screen” or something like that. The random opening of the map when you push a button is apparently “as specified” I even booked mine in to the dealer for it and there was nothing wrong, “it’s just what it does” was essentially the report back. 10. Although I have a 450h rather than a 400h, my experience chimes with yours. I do a lot of miles (between 1500 and 2000 a month) and my RX is perfect. Sure it’s a little thirstier than my previous car, but for it’s sheer bulk it’s very economical. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be when stuck in a traffic jam than sat in my sound-insulated, comfortable, silently gliding truck. Just buy a Lexus! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Another one for 390-400 miles a tank. Even in this much cooler weather it very rarely drops below 360 miles. The worst I’ve had was 330 and that was because I turned Eco Mode off and drove it like I stole it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. That sounds great! Once you’ve picked it up and you’re free give me a bell [emoji16]. I did the same thing with autotrader ads and searched and searched all week. I had my doubts until I rounded the corner of the dealership, when I saw it sat outside I was sure! Love at first sight and all that. I think it was to do with it being the most expensive car I’d ever bought - you want to be sure. Yours looks like an absolute cracker, the drive home will be something else! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Great choice and it looks fab! Glad to hear you’re all happy with it. I know the “waiting a week” feeling and it’ll be the longest ever! Weirdly, we’ve got a matching tyre set up. Hope to see it at some point and have an RXoff [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Sounds promising! Don’t forget to snap pics of the ones you see, never get tired at looking at RX’s! Have a great day out, good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Can’t wait to see it! It looks like a good one [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. That’s beautiful! The interior is stunning, hope it does you a good turn Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Excited to hear you’re starting the process! I found Cambridge extremely expensive too (hence going to Stockport). Guildford seemed good value for money and seemed to have good stocks. (A long way from you I know!) Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. That’s a good tip regarding the tailgate as mine has just started doing that! I’m due a service in the next couple of months at Cambridge. The car has had 4 previous owners who seem to have alternated between Bolton & Stockport (where I bought it) for servicing so hoping to keep up the Lexus stamps as long as feasible! 19. This has the potential to be a great thread! I’ve got a 2010 SE-L Premier with 92000 miles. If yours is on 161k looks like I’ve got nothing but maintenance to worry about for a long time...! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I was thinking about this post as I was out in mine earlier. I find shutting the sunroof cover/blind makes a huge difference (in Lexus noise terms) to the amount of noise in the cabin. I don’t have the panoramic roof, just a standard sunroof, but do try to do high speed trips with the blind shut as it’s a little more peaceful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. That is an amazing price, I paid the thick end of £18k for a 2010! SL, I had an email from Steven Eagell this morning advising me of 0% interest rates at the moment for a January Sale. It sounds like a real shame that your local one is white! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Quite right, and this is what I do. I don’t know about the latest model, but my 2010 has the little ‘joystick’ cruise control stalk on the bottom left on the steering wheel. Once you’ve turned CC on, you just push the stalk back for 3 seconds and it changes to regular CC. The car always biased to Radar Cruise whenever you press the Cruise On button. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I have a 2010 450h SE-L Premier which has Adaptive Cruise. I agree with the above poster that on motorways it’s an absolutely pain, does my head in. However on 40/50/60 mph straight (ish) A-roads it’s a dream. I could definitely live without it, but it’s a nice thing to have now and then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I imagine it’s more that winter is coming and people want SUV’s for OMGSNOWCHAOS! I got mine out the door for less than £18k including road tax, GAP & Smart Insurance from Stockport. Mine seemed quite highly priced at the time, so I think yours has some haggle room in it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Can’t comment on the air suspension as I’m only 6 months into owning mine, however the price feels a little high to me. I bought my 2010 SE-L Premier, with 84,000 miles (at the time) from a main dealer with FLSH and the warranty for £17,495. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
