    when i bought it i raised some concerns of the problems others on this forum had had with the new is, and was told that they had been resolved and that the 2007 model would be ok, its going in on saturday for the handbrake to be adjusted and to have the cracking noise which comes from the dash speaker sorted,then the seats started to creak which once you no its doing it becomes very annoying.i e-mailed lexus service but not yet had a reply.

    my cars going in on saturday to have the handbrake adjusted and for them to have a look at the dash speaker which makes a cracking noise, over the weekend both the front seats have started to squek is this an easy fix? and has anybody else got or had the same problem? just sent the service department an e-mail asking if they can sort it out, i hope that this is not the start of the problems others have suffered such as jambo!

    i bought K 16XUS in december from dvla for £225 i think which included all fees

    i also have poor fuel consumption on my is 220d its got 2200 miles on it now and im getting around 29.9 mpg when i bought it i raised the issues of poor mpg and was told that 2007 models had better mpg than previous cars which has turned out to be wrong in my case.if i had known this i would have gone for the petrol one. so if your sending in a letter you can add my name to it.

    anybody else no anything about the different tyres? i dont want to ring kwick fit to complain to be told theres nothing to worry about

    after replying to this post on friday i drove home and caught my tyre on the edging stones on my drive, i thought nothing of it until sunday when i was washing the car when i found a gash in the side of the tyre,after driving around all the tyre companys i finally found one at quick fit which cost £105 just my luck. i have noticed that the tyres on the car are bridgestone polenza and the new one is a bridgestone turenza whats the difference?

    i have had this happen twice in my old is 200, it didnt damage the rim as bad as yours but it knocked the tyre off the rim, sheffield city council were not bothered they said that the roads are inspected every 2 months for repairs that are needed,and that no repairs were required the last time they inspected the road so they were not liable as they were not aware of the pothole and i should claim on my own insurance. i hope your council dont have the same policy as mine?

    the only ticking sound i get is from the seat belt when you plug it in it makes a tick noise from where it meets the pillar section of the car

    its just a standard 3.5mm jack as you would use for headphones, i plug in my sat-nav so it comes through the speakers.

    i got run into the back of 7th dec 06 whilst parked at the lights by a morrisons hgv,i was in my old is 200 and luckily only suffered whip lash and bruises.i was insured with lexus who i have to say are brilliant i had a brand new is 250 delivered to my door and my old one taken for repair they sorted out solicitors ect and my car was taken to lexus for repair. i p/x my car with lexus and didnt get less for it because it had been in an accident, i had a few minor problems with the repairs but they were sorted out
