  13. Wait. There must be some mistake. How can an autobahn-inspired performance machine beat one of the most fuel-efficient cars ever made? It looks like that is exactly what happened on a 545-mile London-Geneva run, when a diesel-powered BMW 5-series posted better MPG stats than a petrol-based Toyota Prius hybrid. The BMW 520d with a 2.0-liter diesel engine and regenerative braking posted an impressive 41.9 mpg - about 0.9 mpg better than a full hybrid Prius. The difference may not seem huge. But given that the Prius weighs about 500 lb less, BMW's fuel economy lead was significant enough to raise new questions about which drivetrain technologies are more environmentally viable and should become the future mainstream of sustainable transport. According to Technoride, the 5-series' triumph over Prius can be attributed to "a series of energy-saving features BMW calls EfficientDynamics: battery recharge when braking, good aerodynamics, low rolling resistance, a continuous fuel consumption gauge on the dashboard, and a six-speed manual transmission that is rated as improving fuel economy by about 10%."
  14. Harrydavy with the point about your pcp i was inder the impression that future values were always set lower than the actual future value so that you had a deposit towards a new one? this encourages you to have another car from them and so that you have something towards a deposit and dont walk away.
  15. spoke to them yesterday and was told it will be out later in the year and aiming at company car users because of low c02 emmisions
  16. went into my dealers yesterday to get a price for 4 new tyres after only doing 17,000 miles, and was told that they are bringing out a new deisel engine in the 220d later this year, he said it has lower emmisions and better economy? has anybody else heard anything

  18. the squeek doesnt come from the mounting points its actually from inside i was told the only fix is a new seat which i had
  19. with regards to JAMBO'S earlier comment about the seat problem, i have recently had my drivers seat replaced i took around 3 visits to the dealer forthem to try to fix the squeek and they finally admitted that this isnt the first time this problem has been reported, i have had the new seat around 4 weeks and the same problem has started on the new one, i cant be bothered taking it back
