  1. Yep same in our house - Lexus recovery has had to flat bed the Mrs Merc so its been well worth the money
  2. @Rayaans I couldnt see essential care for the IS300h on the website - what are they charging for full / intermediate?
  3. The warmer weathers giving a massive improvement to my MPG
  4. Yep, I have the same. Only place I'm noticing it is in a stretch of roadworks sat at 50, and every so often it feels a bit like there is more resistance to make a slight adjustment. I thought it was the camber of the road at first, but its not always in the same part of the roadworks
  5. No cambelt so you can cross that off the list! Just checked on mine snd the big one looks to have been the 60+ at 120K - that included plugs, but cant see much else beyond the normal full service
  6. Why did they strip the brakes and change the coolant? Did you ask for this to be done as I cant see it on the checklist?
  7. Not really sure you would gain much anyway, remaps work best on engines with turbos
  8. I posted a while ago as I had a headlight bulb fail - well it became intermittent. Gave up trying to change them, asked my local garage to do it - I provided the bulbs and went with Osram Nightbreaker Lasers. I think they are better, but as one bulb was out its difficult to say
  9. Mine worked 75% of the time, but I only used it to ring a few people plus to ask the sat nav to "go home" To be fair the whole infotainment is a bit rubbish
  10. My commute is about 14 miles each way, but the majority of the way in is uphill - I tend to average 45 in the morning and 52-54 on the way back. however, for the first couple of miles the average is only in the 20's while the engine warms up. If your journeys are only 2 miles then you will get pretty poor economy. Best I achieved so far was 62 in heavy traffic, M4 on a Friday afternoon
  11. I've bought a few through ebay over the last few years - there are plenty of dogs out there, but with a bit of common sense you can weed the bad ones out. Current IS was an ebay purchase
  12. Cant really say I've noticed big changes in temp with my climate, however, I did notice that you can set the fan speed in auto between soft med and high (I think that was he terms used) - I guess in high you will notice the change more suddenly as the airflow is faster
  13. Perhaps I've just been lucky, but my VW dealership experience was on a par with Lexus. Out of 4 services Lexus failed / were unable to wash the car on 2 occasions. Not a big deal, but they are pushing their levels of service, and charging for it
  14. Not surprised at your Bristol experience - first time my CT went there for a service they tried to tell me I had a oil leak and when could they book it it. Told them it was used approved and had an extended warranty to be told oil leaks were not covered. Checked the warranty and found they were covered, and hey presto its no longer a leak, and best to see what it looks like at the next service........where it had completly dissapeared
  15. Oddly its started working again.......do the balasts fail or become intermitant?
  16. Thanks, I'll try searching a bit further back. Private sale, so cant go back for a bulb!
  17. Hi - I'm new to IS ownership having jus picked up my IS300h Executive last week (moved up from a CT) I'm really pleased, but I have had a headlight bulb fail - before I've never had a problem changing these, but this one is HID and looks far more complicated! The handbook just says "take it to a dealer" but I was wondering if anyone had changed one or knew where there was a guide? Also does anyone know if the Executive has the facility to have the facility to have the side mirrors dip when you use reverse?
