  1. Yes interesting Peter a mate after we discussed this is going to empty his tank and the next fill is going to top up with v power or Esso and see how the mileage goes. I always remember Honest John swearing by V power.
  2. Also discussed this with a colleague. He mentioned there are quite a few brands Redex, Winns, STP, Millers to name a few and each have different properties. Think he said you can get what you say Colin a fuel system cleaner. You can also get a lubricant type additive he mention another I've forgot what.
  3. Thanks Roger very interesting I read the link which was informative and id previously seen the Lexus link on E10. I had a natter today with a colleague who puts E5 in his old Honda cub 90 motor bike. He also mentioned about the hoses and carb bits you mention could deteriate with continuous use ofE10.
  4. Having just had my 2nd service. The dealer presented me with a service plan. I noticed on the quotation a line things you may want to consider. This included things like wiper blades, wheel alignment, Air con etc. They give you a cost and how much extra per month it would be if you wanted it included in the service's. What surprised me they also listed fuel additive and in brackets recommended at each service. This took me back a bit as when I bought the car I knew it would run on E10 petrol with no conversion needed. Since i bought the UX much discussion has taken place about E10 and its corrosive properties and the damage it can cause to the engine. When I received the service follow up call I asked about this and the advisor said you don't have to have it if you don't want its mainly for older vehicles. This leaves me confused 1) why did they list recommending the fuel additive at each service 2) Told mainly for older engines. So hoping you good folks can advise discuss Yes or No for a fuel additive and if yes what type. What do you all think.
  5. The Faraday pouch get one but be mindful they lose their effectiveness in time quite quickly in fact the one i had within a year. Something i never realized until it was mentioned on the forum.
  6. Thanks for posting this @Linas.Psomething new to me. I dont know of anyone prosecuted by this method. However i must agree with @Mr Vladgot all the makings of a cash cow.
  7. They had a MY2023 in the showroom at Hull on Friday and i was told they had a demonstrator
  8. Yes Nick this is what i was led to believe 2yrs ago. All the talk of the MY2023 has been about the new quieter Bridgestones so was suprised to see the Dunlops on it.
  9. Interesting that Vlad about the additives. Today i had my 2nd service. I was presented with a service plan. I couldn't help noticing on it things you may want to consider extra charge to service plan fee but you could add it on. What surprised me was Fuel additive and it said highly recommended. The cost was £25 i think this could be split over the 3 yr period.
  10. So i had a sit in the new UX MY2023. Like we know the infotainment has changed moving to touch screen from the touchpad. I noticed all the volume media controls from the end of the Centre armrest had vanished and there was a volume knob on the touchscreen. It also had the Dunlop run flats on. This was a F sport design.
  11. Took the UX in for its 2nd service today. As I previously posted I was told the new MY2023 wouldn't be in the dealers until November. Well I got there today and low and behold they had one in the showroom and a demonstrator. Still told not going into production until January. They were taking orders with a deposit that would be given back if when car arrives in another 10 months to a year you didn't want it. On the 3rd or 4th Oct the prices are going up 3%, so if you ordered before you would get the current price and that would be honored at delivery.
  12. Not sure Scot. But have a play on settings you can change Miles to Km or MPH to KMh so you might be able to change tire settings. Have a look at customitation
  13. I am same Maurice i use bar but cant get round to KM your not alone.
  14. Yup I thought odd as well. I think who I spoke with was fairly new to the dealers. We will wait and see how it develops and what posts we get back.
  15. I agree the mats that come with the car are not brilliant. I have rubber ones as well and they are top quality. To be honest I have the rubber ones in all the time. Often wondered maybe I should put them in just for autumn winter etc. The rubber ones are quite heavy.
  16. I haven't ordered anything just thought I would have a look while in dealer. Keep us posted when you get your UX250h MY23 delivered.
  17. Interesting this lets see how it develops. I was told Demo's available to dealers Sept. Then when i said good i will have a look at one in Sept when i come in for service. The rep checked and said different it would be November and goes into production January. What date have you been given for delivery.
  18. if the ONS told me it was raining I would have to go outside and have a look.
  19. I was informed by my dealership that the new UX MY23 does not start production until January. I'm in for a service end of Sept so thought id take a look at one. Told they would have a demo in it comes in Sept. Then they checked the email and it was November. So they must be doing a small production batch for dealer Demo's I think Tel mentioned up the thread that demo's arrive a bit earlier. Enquiring about delivery times told if ordering now looking at next June/July i think they said. I am not wanting to buy just have a look at one and kill a bit of time while vehicle serviced. Thought you might be interested in what I was told.
  20. Gave the UX a clean before the Ban starts. I finally got sorted on a pressure washer and foam lance. Happy with the set up. Got to say I do like that Bilt hamber you all recommended. By does it shift the muck. I've put the touchless on my birthday list and the touch on hydro wax. An old man eh simple to use no bending done in 10 mins. I also took your advice and got some RainX for the glass seems to be very good.
  21. The Ban starts Friday 26th here in Yorkshire. I gave mine and the daughters a clean today last one before ban starts. That'll be it for me until ban lifted. Like @dutchie says it rain and was dust off. We had a bit today.. On another note I must have misunderstood the rules I didn't think you were allowed to wash the car whether it was a hosepipe or bucket.
