  1. And don't even mention the household food bill 😱
  2. S****Y? Think of words like affectation, posh, swagger, glitzy
  3. You make an excellent observation Len. I contacted my dealer regarding the 450 canbus plate saying that it's attracted a lot of chatter on this forum. Intriguingly they had no knowledge of the part and said that they will contact Lexus UK? This lack of interaction with a user forum is diametrically opposed to my Jaguar club where JLR are actively involved thereby adding brand value without expensive s****y Marketing Gurus! But that leads onto different points - what is the point of a user forum? Shouldn't the manufacturer be fronting this up? Fundamentally are they adverse to criticism? Or, are they above it all? Once the product is out of the door is that the end of their job and is now the dealers responsibility ie the middle man? And we all know where middle men are going 🤔
  4. Well Steve, a watch may tell you when it's elevenses but without biscuits could you legitimately call it elevenses 😎
  5. Talk radio! Mike Graham is a star. I use my phone in-car for TR & GB news that way. And of course Test Match Special 🥳🎉
  6. Could not agree with you more Len. 😎
  7. I forgot to mention one very clever one is ; scammers call on your landline pretending to be from your bank. You are naturally suspicious, they say, no problem just call me back on our head office number. You then call on a number you know to be correct, and they answer, the trap is sprung. You see when they call you they do not disconnect the line when they say call us back. You then call not knowing it's an open connection to the original call 😱
  8. The problem is Charles we blithely go along thinking all people are as intelligent as we Lexus owners are but it's simply not true. Just imagine the average person then realise that 50% are more stupid than that. 😱
  9. He also said how lucky Adam was because when he said a good thing no one had said it before 😅
  10. Hi Nick, try Caninecagecraft, they are near Heather in Leicestershire 👍
  11. Look up, Tom Mabe crime scene, the very best ever 😎
  12. Yes Bill, but you wouldn't exchange them for today's environment would you? It's astonishing we achieved anything some afternoons but the fact is that we did. Because we understood that work/targets/kpi's etc were a by-product of play time and naturally the harder you worked and got that out the way more honey. No money no honey 😎
  13. Great advice. Also I never ever delete scam emails or answer calls where I do not know the originator this just proves they have a live account. Even emails from known names if the content is out of the usual pattern call them to confirm. I have had instances where friends entire email address book has been hacked 👍
  14. As I understand it the world is awash with one scam or another but I have not yet read a single article that explains the money trail? In your case Len the money was transferred to another bank and as all banks operate in a Global framework where is the reciprocal agreement in such situations? 🤔
  15. 😅. "One of the best temporary cures for pride and affectation is seasickness; a man who wants to vomit never puts on airs. - Josh Billings, 😎
  16. Hear hear! Although I suspect your Achilles heel was having a too wider command of the English language. 😎
  17. And for years I was under the misapprehension that the Last Man To Know Everything was Thomas Young, how misguided can an individual be I wonder? 😎
  18. Trific 😕, this is on top of paying for the failed energy suppliers such as Bulb 😱
  19. So very accurate Vlad. Those who can, do, those who can't teach, those who can't do either become keyboard warriors, for example being critical of No Charge, incredibly competent content providers such as Waze.
  20. Renato you make brilliant and insightful point. Today, people not only seek constant "positive stroking" but it needs to be quantifiable via incessant requesting for "how did we do" feedback. I am reminded of the old Carlsberg ad of a dusty cobweb filled room with a telephone entitled, Customer Complaints, just wonderful.
  21. Crikey VFR you're a bit prickly today, must be all those Devon cream teas. It's most unfortunate if you read any of my content as being a personal insinuation, slight, or any other negative barb. Far from it, your comments were essentially in line with mine ie we are fortunate deal with such a reliable brand. In my case I am sure that I would still be arguing my corner come Christmas with most other firms. And in your case I am in no doubt even two years after the event you will reach an amicably agreeable solution. As to my approach to life and behaviour read my first line to Steve in this thread for a clue. Very best wishes Phil.
