  1. Don't you mean Food of The Dogs, being dyslexic 🤠
  2. That's a wonderful tribute to your father Sarah, well said you. He and I had many enjoyable exchanges especially as he knew my overriding affinity with Greece and the Greek people. They have a saying, (one of many) which roughly translated says, "don't walk behind me as I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me as I may not always follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend". This for me sums up your father exactly. Warmest of wishes Philip
  3. I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments Len. A real shocker and for me it follows on last weeks news of a similar fate for a fellow Jaguar XK owners club member, Keith Fox, who will be missed in equal measure. As my dear Mother would've said "whatever is the world coming to"?
  4. I have been using Hoya varifocals for more than 30 years, as I got older on-coming glare became more of a problem. So I bought En-routes as soon as they were available and can reccomend highly. They can be expensive but Isight, Shepshed, Leicestershire are manufacturing Opticians and give you unbiased advice. For example they will fit lens into a provided frame saving you a fortune.
  5. When Shakespeare wrote "let's kill all the lawyers" did he have a point? 🤔
  6. From todays on-line Daily Mail " While Land Rover models were the five most-recovered cars, according to its records for last year, it says hybrid vehicles are also becoming 'rich pickings' for criminals. The Lexus RX 450h entered Tracker's top ten most stolen and recovered league table, which is the first time a Lexus vehicle has ever appeared in its annual review of stolen and recovered vehicles. Keyless cars 'twice as likely to be stolen' A major insurer last year examined theft claims data and found that cars with keyless technology are twice as likely to be pinched as those without these features, and criminals are becoming increasingly brazen as more are ditching the cover of darkness to steal vehicles in broad daylight. Aviva said claims records held on its database for between August 2020 and August 2022 show that the number of cars stolen with keyless entry and keyless start systems were twice the volume of models without the tech. A spokesperson told This is Money: 'Analysis of our claims data reveals that theft claims are twice as likely to occur for keyless vehicles than non-keyless models.' > Read more: How keyless cars are more likely to be stolen 'A sharp rise in thefts of the Lexus RX450h in the second half of the year indicates it's likely to remain a target for thieves,' it said." Hate to think of the impact on insurance renewals 🤯
  7. That could not have been the one in Sacramento last week that spontaneously caught on fire and the local fire department used SIX THOUSAND gallons of water to extinguish it 🤯🤯🤯.,could it? 🤠
  8. But is it that simple? Aren't you paying a regular 1/12th of a fixed cost for a service to be performed one year hence? Yes you are losing interest on the money which I reckon is about £3. Against that you have the possible effect of annual inflation, let's be kind and say 5% or say £30 so in fact you are "making/not losing" &£27 💸💸💸
  9. I have experienced same and couldn't agree with you more, misting yes condensation never! And Oddly enough don't recall the same last year🤔
  10. Not quite sure how to do that Vlad. But just type " a warning from an auto finance insider" into YouTube and you will see an episode called "he is shocked"
  11. I think Colin it's a little more intriguing or should I say forward planning? In the USA owners owe $1.5 trillion on cars, that's right 1.5 TRILLION 🤯🤯🤯. Now, on YouTube watch "A warning from an auto finance insider (banks are scared) to get a view on the coming year and you can see why banks and manufacturers are hedging their bets.
  12. Fantastic vistas John, who would have known? Might a horse be a more comfortable way to get there 🤔🙂
  13. And here I was thinking sprocket was a salad leaf, a cross between a sprout and rocket (arugula) 😅
  14. Precisely John, assuming you have a Court order beforehand 😎
  15. I do recall being taught about Anton Piller orders years ago. 😊, and yes I agree, I don't suppose for one moment it enters the general discourse 😅
  16. Maybe Shada had seen this viral video on social media, here is an example exchange " In the video, the user can be heard hysterically berating an EMT who was behind the wheel of the ambulance, "Get out of the bike lane!... You're killing us! Get out of the bike lane!" The woman did not appear to be actually dying, or in any physical danger at all, during the course of filming the video. Before confronting the EMT, the woman reportedly vented her frustration about being inconvenienced by a rescue vehicle in her bike lane, saying, "Here's an ambulance in the bike lane. There is a business they can park in. They can block the car lane, they can block the non-existent motorcycle park lane. I am not even half a mile from a home on a rainy day. What the f—k. What the f— k." Now would you trust her to walk your dog? 🙂
  17. Motorists aren't any better at what may I ask? Sailing through red lights, riding on footpaths, impeding the progress of other road users, imperious to horses and pedestrians, going as fast as possible through rural villages, going two or three abreast worst of all shouting to one another as they go along 🤯😎
  18. Presumably, as an EV owner you need one of these impediments to progress in order to avoid the 3 hour, waiting to charge queues? 😁
  19. Crikey Bill the New Year has given you unbridled courage 🤣, just remember everything you write is now on record forever. So come the ultimate female revolution I shall be alongside you lined up against the wall. 🤣🤣🤣
