  1. It's also described 35 minutes in to the Deep Dive Part 1 tutorial. Not sure if it's the same clip but of course both Deep Dives originate in the States. I wouldn't be surprised if its a US only feature as all recent European cars have to a feature that stops the engine after 1.5 seconds if, for example, stopped at traffic lights. To me, a remote engine start that runs the engine for 10 minutes with nobody in it doesn't fit with this ethos.
  2. Care Care Nut on YouTube is a Toyota/Lexus Master Technician who has several videos worth watching, including some on how to look after you car and keep it going for 300,000 plus miles. The main thing I took away was making sure oil changes using the correct oil is carried out frequently.
  3. My dealer told me that the protection pack was factory fitted; so, hopefully, that's one off the list. Tow bars are still not being listed as an option; have you had confirmation that one is available? They would normally be fitted at Derby but I recall one contributer saying his dealer was going to fit his. Keeping my fingers crossed for you, the 29th is a Friday but hopefully it being the start of the weekend won't slow things down.
  4. Those lucky enough to have their car on the Viking Adventure, that left Japan on 28th June, may like to know that the ship is currently at anchor, awaiting its turn to go through the Suez Canal. Next stop is Livorno in Italy.
  5. My Lexus Link app was updated on 15th July. Has anyone noticed any changes and, dare I hope, improvements?
  6. Was your order placed with a UK dealer (I notice your location is 'other/Non UK')? If so, as James says, it doesn't make sense that February orders for the 450h are being fulfilled in the next couple of months and your order, just a month later, is estimated for 2023.
  7. That's scary! No wonder garages won't repair run-flats.
  8. Mine didn't go into build until 6th June, a couple of weeks after yours. Keep your fingers crossed, it could well be on an earlier boat. I reckon/hope the Viking Adventure will dock at Portbury around the 6th August.
  9. Do you have any more clues? Mine is on the Viking Adventure, which set sail on 27th June and is passing Singapore as I type this.
  10. The Updated 2022 Lexus NX Part 2 - Deep Dive Tutorial at 56:40 minutes might give a clue. I think you would need to have linked and subscribed to services such as Apple music or Amazon music before you would see options that weren't greyed out. I don't 'do' this sort of thing but hopefully you will get some clues from the YouTube video.
  11. Thank you everyone. Watched a few YouTube videos, very helpful and some good tips on what not to do amongst the good ideas. They make it look a pretty simple job even though I don't like the idea of removing panels for fear of introducing squeaks and rattles. Don's photos on the 'Show and Tell' thread are useful too, although the shot with half his car spread over his grass was a little disconcerting! I'll let you know how I get on.
  12. I think you are reading it correctly. I noticed the UX model page had an 'Importance Notice' prominently displayed and saying the same thing a couple of weeks ago. Guess it's understandable in the current supply situation.
  13. Impressive stats Alan. I reckon that means you are getting north of 250mpg! I will be very happy if I get anywhere near that - my right foot can be a little heavy at times.
  14. Does anyone have any experience, info, tips, pictures of a diy dash cam fit specific to the NX? I bought the Nextbase 622GW front and rear cameras. There appear to be 3 fuse box locations in the NX according to the manual; maybe it will be clearer when I get the car and it will be more obvious where I can take the power from but at the moment, I'm a bit confused.
  15. Thanks Ivan, interesting that you can see it. I have tried 3 computers, Apple MacBook, Samsung tablet, and Chromebook and none of them show me a 450 option, just a 350 2wd and 350 awd option.
  16. I can't see the 450h+ listed on the website at all! Is Lexus in the middle of a web site update? Can anybody else see the PHEV listed? Very odd.
  17. Great stats Ken. Thank you. Gives me something to aim for when I eventually pick up my car. Suspect I won't get near this initially as one of my early drives will be a long run around the country to visit family.
  18. Are you following the NX 2022 Delivery date thread? There are a few posts on there about folk expecting their cars soon; including a couple from me as my dealer confirmed this morning the vessel that my car is currently on.
  19. My dealer told me to expect two weeks but for others it has clearly taken longer. Some cars (but I don't think all of them?) have to go via Derby where they fit some of the non-factory fitted options (like a tow bar for example). Other accessories, like cross roof bars can easily be fitted by the dealer. I was told to then expect 3-7 days for the dealer to do what they need to do before I can collect my car. If your car arrives at Portbury on the 22nd and follows a similar pattern to that which I have been advised, sadly, I think it unlikely you'll get your car in time for your French trip but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
  20. I read somewhere, and it seems to be borne out by my own experience, is that Lexus wait until the vehicle is on a ship before issuing the 'build complete' message. If correct, cars may be complete and off the production line, before then hanging around for several days before we hear about it. Since, you received a 'build complete' message on 4th June and the normal sailing time is 38-40 days, I think you have good grounds for expecting your car will arrive at Portbury on the 8th or 11th. Let's hope so.
  21. I have just been notified that my car is on the same ship 🙂 I'd like to apply to join the Viking Adventure Club please. My NX 450h+ Premium was ordered by the dealer on 6 Feb, I was notified that it went into build on the 6 Jun and notified that build was complete on 28 Jun - at which point it must have already been on the boat, just one of 6,700!
  22. In 2017 a Ferrari driver was fined £90 for parking across 2 bays even though he had paid for two tickets. Your guy was fair, good on him, but not everyone is like that sadly. Article at: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/ferrari-driver-furious-parking-car-two-spaces-bays-church-road-antrim-northern-ireland-kevin-mcwhinney-a8037651.html
  23. The reference does indeed mention the 2.5bar for Andrew's vehicle but doesn't address the question of a fully loaded vehicle versus a 'normal' load. Every car I have ever owned has recommended a higher pressure for full load/high speed running. As Andrew has found, Lexus do not appear to differentiate. I wonder if it has anything to do with run-flat tyres being fitted, which have thicker, stronger side walls that are, perhaps, less affected by different loads.
  24. It's also mentioned in Deep Dive 1. A very exhaustive run through with so many little snippets like that, it is easy to miss. I only know because I saw it a couple of nights ago on my second run through 😉
