    Would also like an inflatable model of the grim reaper to fold out from the passenger seat...then whenever I get held up by an old biffer in a Honda/Caravan I could roll up behind them and scare the sh*t out of them. Maybe then they would think their time had come and they would finally pull over!!! :D

    Bought my LS when I was 34 (35 now) and never considered it an old man's car. Other people do but stuff them!! :D I can also echo jellyBean's comments - it is always amusing to see the look on people's faces when you blast past them in an "old man's car"!! As for fuel consumption - what the hell!! Everyone should have a V8 in their life once - and it does wind up the eco warriors in their superminis :P

    My initial thoughts are because most diesel IS will be bought by company car drivers. An auto hikes up the CO2 levels and hence your tax bill. Jaguar follow the same logic with the X-type. Shame though because Audi put in a CVT gearbox ehich doesn't affect CO2 so I'm sure Lexus could do similar.

    Not quick in general terms but certainly brisk enough in 4*4 terms. Would definitely recommend Sat Nav - you only need to get lost once to appreciate it. As for the boot liner, the dealer should just throw one in as part of the deal.

    Yeah, that's what it says on the computery thingy. Never bothered to work it out for myself though. I'm assuming that this is about right. I am amazed too although I must say that the car mostly does long runs all over the east of England. It's over nine miles to my wifes base office along dual carriageway which is the sort of stuff the car is best at. What do you get from your 430? ← I get about 17 around town and 26-28 on a motorway run. I thought you were getting 28 mpg around town!! :D
