That sounds odd to me. You obviously have the skill to control the throttle so that the car accelerates hard out the wet junction without much wheelspin. What's odd is that the traction contol shouldn't be cutting in so early - are you sure it's actually working properly? Mine cuts in from time to time if I give it a clumsy bootful of gas in the same situation, but basically just sits there watching and waiting the rest of the time so I leave it on. Maybe you should have it checked? Mike Yours is an auto though mike, the gearbox and driving characteristics will be different from a manual. It doesn't take much practise to control the throttle in the wet on junctions tbh, you have far more control over the car with the TRC off IMO! Oh, and a standard IS200 doesn't have enough power to spin the wheels anyway! :P lol TRC is a fairly simple feature imho. If you start to lose traction, the ECU cuts power to your wheels. Simple. D.

My Nokia N73 pairs fine and makes calls/answers calls fine in the GS. HOWEVER, the transfer of the phonebook is like 20% successfull - mainly where I have "complicated" contacts - those with more than 1 phone number... Anyone else find this? Basically may/may not have some part of the number, then a load of verical bars 020||||||||| D.

Still yet to play with this feature... I would consider myself to have a "normal" accent... but we'll see! :winky: Rest assured they have put the touch screen to use for a rear camera (as well as front and rear parking sensors) - much needed as the car feels really big!!! And I thought the IS was bad for parkign around the streets of central London :duh: The MM pack gives you the DVD, MP3 and 14 speaker system... If i'm not mistaken, the ipod connector isn't an ipod connector as such? Its just an AUX-in facility.... (which the GS doesnt have!!! ) Just got for higher spec (and more expensive!!!!) models if you want the MM "option" :) D.

I think it was that London meet way back when you first showed me and my cousing that your steering wheel disappeared into the dashboard! lol People have always said that the IS was an old mans car... this GS must be prehistoric!!! Link to Lexus.co.uk for car specs etc. Here she is ladies and germs. If I get time, i'll try do something similar to Koshime's IS250 Diary, which I found incredibly useful :) All I can say for the journey back from work was... well, I was just getting used to the size of the car! About 40cm longer and wider. A lot more grunt. All the lights and stuff! Argh! I'm a little bit speechless at the moment! Will get some daytime shots when I get round to it. D.

At an approximate guess-timate (based on what I have seen), it is at least yearly... Each year's release you can find different "ver." as well. Your Lexus dealer will certainly have this info, and will most certainly charge you a couple-a-hundred +VAT for a disc... hth.
