  1. just waiting for john to get back to me :D
  2. 1 are you good on black magic? 2 what do you have on those in charge? 3 who are you sleeping with to get these results, except the baby part? 4 - congrats ;)
  3. no more sport give me a chance, or can i write one?
  4. OK, I will admit it was "a few" years ago when I took my test - I can't say that I've noticed an improvement in mechanical understanding. I seriously disagree with that - and so will you if a loved one is killed or injured as direct result of a poorly maintained vehicle being driven on the road. you think a car that is 2 months into an mot is safer thann a car that is 20 months into an mot? You think accidents are mainly caused by poorly maintained cars?? more like poorly maintained drivers
  5. Depends what you call sensible insurance. When I first got my lex I was paying over 5k for it. A lot of the richer people I know from school and who are successful and are my age all own their own cars. At 22 a good friend of mine insures his Bentley GT for the same I pay for my merc, as they are both group 20. As for hands free, I would need 3 headsets for my phones so I don't bother, I may be breaking the law, but then I have never been anywhere near close to an accident when on my phone. Many people in this country if they see someone in a flash car they don't like them, or think of them as overpaid, or spoilt. Th rest of the world when they see someone with a nice car they see them or their family as successful. Brits just can't face the fact they get jealous. I know I am, but I like to think as they or their family are successful.
  6. I do kinda like seeing crashes when people dont get hurt. It means a car is driven properly and not at 30 mph to pose around town
  7. You have to consider that MOST drivers are not car enthusiasts like here on LOC, and don't give the maintenance & safety of their car a second thought as long as it gets them from A to B. I think it should be included in the driving test to have a basic understanding of the mechanics - not to fix it, but just to know what's what, rather than bumbling about in blissful ignorance. I'm sure most are mechanically clueless but still quite willing to trust their life to it. That was introduced a few years ago ;) As long as a car is insured it doesn't bother me how other peoples cars are maintained.
  8. Back for a bit. Still gotta sell my house out there.
  9. I think I drive all cars pretty much the same, pretty hard. As they're cars at the end of the day, Its not like your riding the mother in law bareback if you boot a car.
  10. If you need a new cat my car still has ne on I think. Could do a swap, only problem is mat's away and my car is at mat's.
  11. The guy who did that must be a legend!
  12. sad thing is I found it quite easy. Although wasn't spider in coro ages ago. Went to open his juice bar or something.
  13. All those who went to the rolling road last year, or earlier this year. Anyway at Janspeed, if you were paying attention you saw it
  14. Good stuff daz. Great to see what you've been up to of late.
  15. As ive been away fr a while hows the sc conversion doing then?
  16. Yeah ahve a look on here http://www.japaneseusedcars.com/auction/auctions.htm
  17. I'm with NU and got a better quote from elsewhere. Rang them to cancel, told them I'd got it cheaper elsewhere - they immediately reduced my premium by well over 100 squid just to keep my business (presumably). It makes you wonder how much it actually costs How do you mean how much it costs? Its insurance, surely costs are irrelevant they just make money off you the best they can to cover all drivers. The younger they are the more they get out of you.
  18. Ice climbing a few mountains Ive done have been pretty risky, Mainly the one in china that was called bogda feng, about 5000m. Was an awesmoe time in the xinjiang region, but the climb was a 6. so was very risky. Although several of us off the expedition dont climb anymore as we've been jinxed as a few of the group have actually died.
  19. I dont think anyone in our lifetimes could beat his winning records. If it was just ferarri why not the teamates? as for renault and ferrari they are two very equally matched cars. on paper he is better than mansell, and how prost was doing before his accident, so in essence yes he is the graatest so far
  20. Its only a computer....surely... Go do something else instead of playing on a computer. Am I the only person who has no interest in playing toy soldiers on a computer, or pretending to race a car......I just dont get it
  21. Aye think I may well have to look into that when I renew mine. As its a group 19 insurance group and they are planning on upping my premium as Im under 25 :( Ive been told to speak to this guy, he does with a lot of the driftworks guys and as yet has been unbeatable. but make sure you call mce and speak to this guy, as the website and the rest of the people are based around bikes.
