  1. Do you or do you know of anyone in the south who has a vintage car I could rent/hire/borrow etc. for a wedding on the 1st September! Or should I coerce loads of Lexus owners to turn up and have the longest Lexus convey ever! Thanks in advance
  2. Don't understand why it won't work in your RX? After all its just a transmitter.
  3. We seem to have quite a few Lexus's in Bournemouth. Currently I have 2 garages within 3 miles of where I live with GS300's for sale. I'm tempted by both of them.
  4. Rush, don't know the answers but we do share the same birthday!
  5. The car will need to move a bit or you will end up with flat spots on the tyres. You also need to open all the doors to let some fresh air in. I am sure there are a few other bits as well.
  6. If anyone is coming down to Sunny Bournemouth for the Rally, just be aware the main road into Bournemouth the A338 is down to one lane. The road out may also by tonight be down to one lane. So extra time will be needed. Also its traditional for the Dorset Police to turn on all the static speed camera's on the A338 (3 to the centre of Bournemouth). The Dorset Safety Camera Partnership have also said they will have a camera on the A338. Welocme to Bournemouth! The recent weather will mean that the car parks will be mud so your car will be filthy. Have fun!
  7. I also work in IT, I deal with roll outs and desktop deployments etc. I do all this for an Insurance company thats supposed to make you Happy
  8. The insurance company will decide what catagegory it falls into, the following is a simplified guide:- Category A: Total burnout. No value left in the vehicle Category B: Break only. Value lies in salvage Category C: Damage to car is more than total value of car Category D: Repair would cost almost as much as the vehicle is worth. Better to write off than repair. Speak to your insurance compaany about buy back as the engineer maybe freelance.
  9. Good Luck mate, brave move to change careers so hope it works out for you
  10. Quality of the scart will make a difference along with the amount of devices ie NTL box, Wii, video, dvd etc.
  11. From what I can make out you want to boost the signal within your house? Not sure this is a good idea. Most LCD TV's prefer the input signal to be RGB. I know that this is easily changed on a Sky box and all my screens work better for it. Don't know if you can or how on an NTL box.
  12. Perhaps they looked like Porche wheels. I fully respect your knowledge as you always seem to know the answers on all the wheel questions. Impressd as ever. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=39073 This was the topic and it was someone on there that asked if they were Porshe 928 wheels.
  13. Did we not have an SC owner somewhere near you (not far off the M3) who had put Porshe wheels onto his SC? If you look him up he may well just let you put on the original SC wheels so that you can have a look. Just a thought
  14. Just a thought but Jamboo's footer says 'Its never what you know, it's always who you know' But is the company local to anyone who may know them or know someone who works there? Worth a try.
  15. Glad you're ok, shame about the car. Seem like we are all after bits. I need a drivers door mirror (glass). I would like the Sat Nav but don't know how dificult it is to fit into a non Sat nav car. I have seen a couple of newer MKII that are currently tempting me, do you think you will get another?
  16. Good luck with the meet, I was thinking of popping down but I am on call so need to be near work. Hopefully one of you guys will take some pics.
  17. Hello and Welcome, I to had the same problem and my dealer sorted it FOC. I am presuming that it has come up with SEC. As if the code has been tried too many times then I think the unit has to come out.
  18. Sorry can't help other than hoping that it all goes right for you.
  19. Just been in the car park with a sceptical Renault owner who is now impressed that the aerial moves with different frequencies. It would appear the lower the FM frequency the greater the aerial length. Radio 2 on 88.something seemed good. Hope it works for you.
  20. WOW nice motor Brian. Will I see it on the streets of Bournemouth and Poole?
  21. Try changing the radio station as the aerial adjusts the length according to the frequency. Don't know the best way to go but if you like I could try it and see which station gives me the longest aerial
  22. Glad you got treated well and hope that you are OK. My Girlfriend and her daughter both work for the NHS which I believe only survives due to the goodwill of the staff.
