I have had this twice on cars that I had traded in. If you tell them who owned the car or who you had traded it in with and give them a photocopy then you never hear from them again.

The water does need topping up every 300 miles or so. I have also noticed a knocking sound when it starts to get hot.

Thanks for the prompt response guys! The overheating happened on Friday and the car had really been stuck in traffic for a few hours, the needle went almost to the top before I opened the bonnet and let her cool down. Good news that its not the water pump, its not the fan as that does cut in. I have tried listening for the noise but can't seem to track it down, I will try and look at the belt and the tensioner this weekend.

After spending 10 hours travelling from Wolverhampton to Bournemouth on Friday (water water everywhere), my GS got a bit too warm sitting in traffic. When driving the temp gauge doesn't move past its normal point. I do however have a loud metalic grating noise, which increases with engine revs. Any ideas?

My current GS (MK2) did have a problem with the abs\traction control\brake unit. It does make a very horrible high pitched scream, you can disconnect the speaker doesn't fix the problem but lets you drive the car without a headache! £2k from Lexus for parts and labour

Needs a bit more than a bit of T-cut -
Gently press down on the passenger side wiper and they will sit lower than the bonnet. It is supposed to be a summer/winter setting. Did you know that the sun visors are telescopic, ie when you pull them down and to the side you can then adjust the length. I think that makes sense. Enjoy the car they are superb.

It will move as it just sticks over the top, but it wont heat or dim -
