  1. I think I would have just blamed that on the cat/s!!!!
  2. Can peeps with places they recommend please email the details to me. Sammy@honda-r.fsnet.co.uk I will be away most of this week, but I shall try to sort something when I get back. Ta Sam Doesnt it depend on whose going sammy? I think the best thing is to see is is def going then find a central meet for all of us.
  3. I am GUTTED : ( I had no idea there was a meet on today!!! I have been dying to get it together with some of you. Sounds like it was top fun aswell! Ok when's the next one, i'm gonna put it in my diary now!!! Cant make it to jae, so what else is on?
  4. Yea southend sounds pretty good to me, stick me down buddy.
  5. Strange...sounds like it's coming from the drivers side....it's really annoying...cant be normal. I had an IS200Se before my present car & the wipers didint make any noise?
  6. Like my IS Sport very much, but I was going to chop it in as soon as the IS300 came out. When I test drove the IS300 I was let down on the performance which is the main reason I was going to get rid of it. It's probably because it's auto & not as free revving as the sport. So decided on keeping mine & getting it done up a bit. Super charger coming soon & done loads of other bits to it, so Im looking at keeping it for at least another 4yrs to justify the depreciation that will occour. If the car remains reliable & economical I cant see any reason to change it. Ive always said that if your going to buy a car from new or nearly new that I would keep it for a while, otherwise you may aswell chuck a load of ££ in the bin!
  7. I would probably say not too, as they are just too costly to maintain.
  8. Removed the circuit board..& guess what??? Nowhere for the chip to go!!! They adveriste the chip, I bought the chip, they sent me the chip, which even has Lexus IS200 sport written on it!!! see pic: Very very cheesed off i emailed them telling them what I thought & they told me to send them my ecu & they will reprog it & return it within 48Hrs. Ok fair enough, but thats not what I want, I wanted a chip that i could take in/out to reverse the process whenever i wanted & like I said to them 'I demand a full refund because if i knew thatwas the case from the start then I would never had purchased it!' I havent had a reply yet!!! Well we all know know!
  9. Things going well...only four philips screws to open the ecu & 2 mor philips screws to remove the circuit board!
  10. Well finaly got the anti tamper screws out & removed ecu from car:
  11. Ive just noticed that my front passenger door makes a loud cracking noise when it's opened!! Is this the pin thing? & my drivers side wiper makes a loud knocking noise like it's hitting the pillar when on fast! anyone else had this one?
  12. Dont worry about the cars going green!!! Ive just gone green!!!!! Playa you just called me 'Babes!!!' Im male you know!!!!! Unless your female....& thats cool...& if you are, Ive just gone red!!!!
  13. Yep, count me in too, saturday is usualy the best day for me aswell if its in the daytime, ive found alot of these things are in the evening. there are tracks everywhere, there's one near me & they do evening team challenges & it costs £1000, thats for the whole night, two teams supplied with outfits etc Ive been quite alot & its usualy pretty even as some karts are a bit screwed & others arent, always a good night until they black flag me. :tumble: I raced karts for a few years, that was fun! but it turned out to be a very expensive hobby!!!!!!
  14. So are you saying I'm old Vic??:flaming: Only joking mate - yours looks good - go for it mate:bounce: Not at all rodders, just that I stumbled onto the club looking for tuning parts etc...for my car & not only did I find all the right places to get them from but a load of good people too!! Whereas someone a bit older just wouldnt be interested in tuning but would be interested in meeting & making new friends within a lexus community. But while we are on the subject, are you old??:lol: He he he
  15. Nice one mate! Youd think that youd get one with the kit at that price wouldnt you :)
  16. It's all down to taste isnt it. Im with you on this one playa, I hate green cars, def not my colour, I dont think I would ever buy one. But as you can see we are outnumbered so there's your answer mate as to why they make them! You other love em or you hate em!!!
  17. What do you think guys...ive been thinking of the black emblems on mine, do you think they will go ok on grey?? & does anyone know where I can get a supercharger badge made up??
  18. Ok finaly got into Pc world.....That was hard considering they are my enemy!!!! But for the good of the club I walked into my competitors shop & Bought some of those cards!! Ive moded the cards a bit, No offence rodders youve done a cracking job, but I think it depends on the person driving the car. Eg youngish guy driving an IS I will give him one of mine & someone a bit more mature looking driving an LS I will give them one of yours. What do you think?
  19. He He......wonder why they didnt use merc or bmw??? Maybe they thought they would use a company with a future!!
  20. Oh yea ive noticed that alright!! I think i prefer wheelspinning most of the time!!
  21. yuummm, ive always liked them too..if I was ever to go for a car like that it would def be the lex! Always wanted cream leather too but I know my kids would mutilate it!! :tumble: My bro has just spent 50K on the merc one despite my pleadings of him to go for the lex, I cant slate it but it's all down to taste I suppose.... Ive got some... & he hasnt......hehehehehehe Enjoy your lovely new car, there's nothing quite like the first few months of getting a new motor....peeping out of the window at night....the other half asking you what your thinking about.....happily going to the shops for them when they have forgotten to buy milk & of course the classic of acting agitated when you get home 2 hours late saying what a nighmare the traffic was when really youve taken a 100mile detour home! :tumble::tumble::tumble: Good luck
  22. Ive been told on numerous occasions by people that traction control slows down the car. So I was wondering if anybody had the answers to these questions: 1. Is it true? 2. by how much? 3. If so...are the listed specs of the car without the traction on? I know that when i turn it off the car does feel sharper & more responsive but this could just be a phycalogical(you know what i mean!!!) thing!! :tumble:
  23. Very fishy sounding!! Sounds like a drink driver to me!! Do a runner then ring the police when your sober!! I think he will still get done quite badly though because it's classed as hit & run!! Im gutted for you mate.......hope it all gets sorted quickly.
